Pacific Rim (2013)

Which story? I enjoye this one!

This is my opinion and not a review. This is a great movie and a great story. The story makes the movie. Imagine there is a global conflict that only a few have the skills to attempt to solve it. These few, while they have proved skills (have solved this problem previously), have no authority to solve the problem and go rouge. There are so many additional movies here (training, discovery, the aliens, genetics, etc.) that this movie could span many hours to tell the story. Instead, the story, told in excellent fashion, provides the detail we need to cheer for our heroes. If you disagree, post here to tell me what I missed. Enjoy this one!!

Are these women acting?

Wow! This is a great movie. I felt the actors were actually having this relationship. They dealt with conflict, misunderstanding, and love as if it was something they actually shared. While the premise was a lesbian relationship, this could happen to anyone.

Lisa Ray and Sheetal Sheth are also very attractive women. This physical attraction made me feel that this movie was more than a movie. I felt that perhaps the story shared on the screen was true. That is, it actually happened between these two women. I enjoyed this movie. I would watch any future films featuring either of these actors. I suggest folks seek movies with either of these performers.

Maggie and Annie (2002)

A good movie about life

This movie surprised me. It demonstrated that love truly conquers all. The husband, the wife, and the girlfriend all seek happiness and will do what it takes to ensure it. That is life - sometimes you get what you want and sometimes you make a sacrifice to get what you want. Despite the length, this is a good story.

The ending is sad but the story is the story. I think the folks who wrote this wanted to find a way to mend all in the end in they do. Please enjoy this movie and think of the joys and challenges of life. It one does this, this movie becomes a great example of the challenges we face each and every day.

Wow! Stopping by to share your pain with your boss.....

Hi there, Anyone out there have that kind of relationship with their boss?

How would your boss feel if you stopped by at zero dark thirty to share what you did on a drunken evening - and you are drunk at the time.

This was fun to see in film. I enjoyed this movie I also hope there are many folks who have this kind of relationship with their boss.

I have a new interest in Jennifer Aniston. I never watched "Friends" but I think she is very good as an actress. She plays the role and is very believable - and also very attractive.

What do you guys think? Let me know.

Jaffa (2009)

Excellent Movie - very moving

Wow! This is an excellent movie and does a great job of demonstrating love through all sorts of challenges. I really enjoyed the performance by Ronit Elkabetz as I have seen her in "The Band's Visit". It was fun to watch. There was also a great performance by Dana Ivgy, who portrayed Mali Wolf. She appeared so innocent and believable as the daughter who falls for a Palestinian worker and decides to keep it a secret from her family - even after becoming pregnant.

While I have no idea if it represented the relationships between Jews and Palestines, I really hope that these type of relationships happen each and every day in their world. There is a chance for peace!!

The Lucky Ones (2008)

Excellent

This is excellent. This movie is a great example of how those in the military take care on one another. After my five years of military service as a Marine, I have found no other organization that works so well. This was a great example of how we (those in the military) get it done each and every day. It also illustrates that in the military we learn to work with both men and women and all colors. It is a simple matter of what is required to get the job done. Thanks for a good example of life in and out of the military.

The characters were true to form and based on my experience showed the way it really is as one tries to adapt and adjust to live after returning from a deployment. It was so smart to include a woman and to write the lines in such a way to show that she was an equal. While only a newbie to the military, she demonstrated life experiences and knowledge that helped the more senior members of the cast. A great job of balancing and showing that life experiences help those in the military deal with situations.

I do not think I can say enough how much I enjoyed watching this movie and experiences the life of military members through the characters in this film. Again, great job!
