Dreams Can Become True If You Buy Them

There are two things that I don't care about: Video Games and Car Races. But this movie has made the impossible, it has killed the not existing interest in me for both of those things. How can anything kill two things that not exist, you may ask. Well, this statement doesn't make sense, right? Just as this movie.

The script sucks, the acting is laughable, the SGI sucks, the dialogue sucks, the music sucks, the editing sucks, the cinematography is okay but I don't see anything, because the cutting is too fast. Oh, and did I mention ? The message of this movie is: "If you don't have a PlayStation, (I mean you have to have one, because the average viewer of this movie clearly has one), buy Gran Turismo, lock yourself in the room, and be a car racer with watching a screen, because dreams can become true, only of course, if you buy them."

Barbie (I) (2023)

Barbie Is A Great Movie, Locked In A Plastic Box

Oppenheimer was bad. In a bad way. And when I reviewed it, I was thought everything would have been better to watch than that. And finally, I had the opportunity to watch Barbie. I thought it will be a tipical advert film, where yes, they make joke from the dolls and there's some jokes for the adults too, but overall it's all about: BUY MORE BARBIE !

And I had almost right. But just ALMOST.

Barbie tries to be a society critic, an advert film, a comedy, a kids movie, and it almost works well in those types. But there are some bad things I want to discuss, so here's how this critic will work, I will show how it fits in the types I written down, and after that I will write the conclusion.

Society Critic Part: The movie absolutely great in this type, it both shows the stupidity of the PC world, and the terrifying fact we live in a world where is homophobia and racism, sexism. Most of the jokes are about that.

Advert Film Part: Exactly because the Society Critic part, it fails to be a good advert film, because who do you want to want to get Barbies. Small Children! And small children will not understand, the jokes with our society, they understand the slapstick jokes. Okay there's some in the film. But there's too few to interest a child.

Comedy Part: It's good. This movie IS funny. I can't say more.

Kids Movie Part: As I said, it's not working that much. But I have to tell, it can be a bit too silly for adults. So that's a problem too.

Conclusion: It's a good movie ! Watch it max two times, great stuff. But if it wasn't a Barbie movie, it could work better.

Mirror (1975)

THIS MOVIE HURTS MY HEAD

This movie is terrible... IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY.

I'm tried to explain this movie to myself, but I realised, this is not a David Lynch film, this movie had to be felt, and not explained. The unnameable feeling wich this movie shows, this uncanny depressing thing in this movie's air is just indescribable. I seen Tarkovsky films before, but none of them is good as this. Wow ! I literally can't breath after this. Anyway, I can't prefer this movie for anyone, because after watching, you will have a feeling like, some bugs crawling beneath your eyes. So yes, that's The Mirror. What a film..........................

Toy Story 4 (2019)

DULL AS A DOLL

Oh dear. I'm not watched many animated movies. But Toy Story was one of them. Not just one of them, but one of the bests.

*Sigh* LET'S SEE HOW DISNEY RUINED IT ! Yea.

This movie is boring, very very boring. They couldn't write characters in this movie, for example: Woody is NOT Woody, Buzz is not doing anything Buzz like thing, etcetera etcetera.... Oh, don't worry, Toy Story 4 is not that bad.... it's MEH. The Story has some interesting parts like: Forky has a good origin story, shame he is an irritating freak-fork. It has a great ending, shame it's short. The movie has great music, shame it's....oh, okay, I have no problem with the music.

Conclusion: This is less than an average movie.

Sex Education (2019–2023)

Acting Education

I don't expected that much from this series when it came out, but after I watched the first episode. I absolutely wanted to watch the next.

This is a really cute series. I can't describe it better. Every character is played superbly, by great, some of them starting, actors. This is how I mean Acting Education, this is a great show for new actors to start their carrier, because they can experiment with the character's personality. As a Whovian, I was very happy when they announced he will be the new Doctor, thanks to this series.

This is a simple, but brilliant little series, wich is very good to watch while chilling.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

I don't like this movie.

So when it comes to Tarantino films, I always say, I don't like them, but I realised, my real problem is not with Tarantino's films, more like with Tarantino himself. If you are a fan of Tarantino, even you have to adimt, Tarantino is really self-esteemed, and that's not necessarily wrong, but I don't like it about him. I chosen Pulp Fiction to write a critic about, because I think Tarantino's self-esteem comes out from this movie the most clearly.

So, firstly, this movie tries to be funny, but it isn't. I mean really. Those "funny bits" are the "-Hahahaha, I will shoot you.-and he/she shoots he/she", and even if I understand those people who find this over the top violence funny, but I think we need some things in a movie to balance it. I found in this movie nothing "entertaining" happens except this. Secondly, the most popular critics are said when the movie was out: "-Oh, It's so brilliant how many stories are connected in Pulp Fiction!-". WHAT ??? MOST OF THE MOVIES HAVE MORE STORIES IN THEM ! Why Pulp Fiction is so special in story telling, even, Pulp Fiction tells the story like: "Uh, yes, I know that about story telling, yea, sure, this story is very original, yes.". The hole story is dull. You seen. DULL !

That's why I call it PUB Fiction.

Anyway, Kill Bill wasn't that bad, I guess. To say something nice about Tarantino.

The Kingdom (1994–2022)

Firstly, Lars Von Trier clearly watched Twin Peaks.

Secondly, The Kingdom is NOT a Twin Peaks copy. Even if Trier takes elements from Twin Peaks, AND FROM OTHER TV SHOWS !!!

Is The Kingdom bad because it's a mix of TV Shows ?

ABSOLUTELY AND UNQUESTIONABLY NO !

One of the greatest things about The Kingdom is it's a mix of comedy, silly horror and medical drama. This makes it an original masterpiece, only the intro tells it with it's mix of orchestra, pop and middle-aged choir. This series shows that a brilliant show can be made without big budget. Stig Helmer is one of the best examples for great character development, the setting is speaks for itself, the weak cameras are not taking away from the experience, they are one of the reasons for this otherworldly mood The Kingdom has.

The Kingdom is A VERY FUN SHOW.

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

The Very Cinematic Stock Footage

After Tenet, I was hoping Nolan makes something good, because let's be honest, Tenet was a movie about a very simple, template idea trying to be told as a complex, loud masterpiece. So, as I have a complicated relationship with Nolan movies, I really hoped this movie will be as good as the Prestige.

NO ! THIS MOVIE IS BAD !

This fast cutting, is really not working great with this movie, Oppenheimer's trial, is totally illogically starts in the beginning of the movie in "not-flashbacks", And in the end it's too long. The sound is loud, but these stock video explosions are just laughable. I know people like, if a movie is fast, but in this movie the fast pasting is always in the interesting scenes. The acting is very average, except Oppenheimer and Strauss, I guess...

So my last word is...

I have to watch Barbie :(
