Knocked Up (2007)
Didn't disappoint!
I have seen my share of Guy movies because my boyfriend makes me watch them. Some I really don't understand (Anchorman, anyone?) and others I find to be pretty hilarious like BEERFEST.
When I saw the previews for this movie, I knew I was going to be made to go see it. The previews really did not interest me and I thought it was going to be OK.
Let me tell you, the previews and trailers did not do it justice. I thought it was actually pretty funny and sweet at the same time. It had something entertaining for both the sexes. The guys obviously loved the fact that Seth's character, an average looking guy with a little beer gut and no job, gets to land a hot, successful chick who's on TV! Not to mention the little scenes where the guys are playing American Gladiator Games near a nasty, moldy pool and the scenes where they are pretty baked talking about stupid stuff. The girls obviously had something to relate to because I am sure there has been many a time where they think about a certain guy and whether or not they would stick it out with him , while getting unhelpful comments from their girlfriends or family. Towards the end , the girls had something to look forward to and sigh about as Seth's character becomes quite the romantic partner.
In the end, the movie was good and funny and sweet. Entertaining for everyone! Go see it with your love or your group of friends, they won't be disappointed.
Eye of the Dolphin (2006)
Fun for the Whole Family
First, for all of you dolphin lovers and anything ocean friendly related:You will love the message that this film delivers. It demonstrates that while people may have an interest in learning more about dolphins and ocean creatures, that interest shouldn't let people forget about dolphins and take them away from their natural habitats and ways. This film says that we can learn about the world around us while preserving its natural beauty and keeping it safe. Second, the movie has a great story with a great set of actors. It it something that will get the whole family to sit together in their living room, take in the movie and have a nice discussion about it afterward. The kids will love the dolphins, the teens can relate to the main star, the parents will like laughing at the dad's first attempts at parenting and everyone will just love the scenes that show what the Bahamas has to offer. I think that a movie that can get my 16 year old brother's attention and keep my dad awake is worth seeing.
Norbit (2007)
The Whole Theater Was LOL! Watching it on DVD was great too!
I don't know why people are hating on this movie so much! Some people think that the movie was too racist or based on untrue stereotypes. I don't think so. I personally do not link big black ladies to being big black horrible ladies- no, if anything big black ladies are like everybody's moms. Sweet, loving and willing to give it to you straight. Anything else that might be considered offensive/ racist/stereotypical is seen that way because people are afraid to laugh at something that may not seem politically correct when in reality they probably laugh their butts off behind closed doors.
I thought it was awesome! It had me laughing through out the whole thing and when the movie was over, my stomach had gotten a good work out. Murphy and the rest of the Norbit crew did a very good job at entertaining and that is what the entertainment business is really about isn't it?
