Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)
Likely the worst of the original movies
Dark, depressing, no real sci fi. The only good thing is you see how the Apes took over at least in one timeline. Again, it could have happened slightly different in the original timeline, but maybe the whole timeline was a paradoxical loop, that was actually kick-started by Taylor's landing in the future, providing the space craft for the Talking Apes Zira and Cornelius to get back to the past, so they could birth Caesar, who kick started the "buth of the Planet ..of.. The Apes..." This is what I think the writers of Escape from the Past of the Apes were getting to. Or maybe it was just a movie.
Stranger Things (2016)
Was good until Season 4
Terrific show until Season 4 came out. Way overdone. Kids not the same now, they're adults... Hard to connect with who's who. Felt like i was in a pool of mud and now whenever i heard that horrible Late Bush song ever again, I'll feel like i need a shower to clean off the mud. Also 2 hours and 22 minutes are WAAAY too much for 1 episode. Feel asleep they pay off it and realize it was still going for another hour. After finishing this season, I won't be returning for season 5. I'm sorry, but if ep 9 hadn't been so darned long, maybe. This one episode is longer than most movies. Long time to be wallering in a pool of mud (the upside down)... listening to "running up that hill..." over and over again.
Your Honor (2020)
The sad eyes kid needs to go
If Say eyes stupid kid Adam survived his "get what was coming to him" in season 2, i won't watch it. Maybe it would have been a better show with a different actor. So miscast! Was he really trying to play a 5 year old because that's the impression i got from his performance.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Very thinly disguised political "satire"
This was hyperbole meant to poke fun at climate change deniers. Too over the top to make it real satire for anyone else but those suffering from severe Trump Derangement Syndrome (funny though how the president reminded me exactly of Hillary Clinton....). A better movie about this subject (doomsday asteroid). This one though, is as so much fantasy as when it reveals what it actually is, with the fantasy jump the shark ending.
I would recommend is the Steve Carell movie: "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World."
Hand of God (2014)
A piece of crap
Perleman made this nearly in watchable...ugh. Other actors and actressess were ok... I at first thought the actor who played the preacher was Justin Timberlake (quite the resemblance). I'm not surprised it was cancelled before they finished it. It's also filled with political agenda and a wrong view of Christianity. Don't waste your time.
The Expanse (2015)
Boring season 5, until cliffhanger
Season 4 went down slightly, but overall season 5 is extremely boring.... Long scenes starting in episode 8 Hard Vacuum that are hard to understand (unless you read the book? But that shouldn't be required of a tv series).... These Naomi scenes went waaaay too long. Not really sure what she was doing other than she was getting as signal out to the others. For instance, why would she cut a wall mark every time she went thru the hatch? She could only go so many times? What? Why did these scenes take up so much of the episode and parts of anothers? And her she's still doing whatever isn't really explained in episode 10 (banging on wiring and junction boxes in an airless environment...ENOUGH of this!) I guess there wasn't enough script for the whole season so they filled as airtime with her airless and dialogue-less struggles ? Anyway it seemed like one long aborted death season for Naomi, and then unexpectedly, Alex got the axe...with little fanfare. On the bright side, the ending off season 5 shows promise for season 6. If i were to advise anyone on watching season 5, i'd say only watch episode 10. Yes there are fragments you might need in the other 9, but don't know if it is worth the slog.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Too much power for Captain Marvel
Didn't need a single other character in The marvel universe with as powerful as they made Carol Danvers aka Capn Marvel. She could have done everything solo, so this made this movie a 3 star instead of an 8. The movie lost all credibility by having a relatively new character for this series fly to the rescue. Boring....

The Sinner (2017)
Season 1 and 2 good
Spoilers////But season 3 is full of sanctimonius Nietzsche mumbo bumbo Bull$h!t. Jaime walks around like a zombie thinking he's woke to a pyschotic idea that only he and a select few know the true meaning of life (it's death and it's all meaningless according to him). Here's in serious need of a straight jacket. I'm on episode 5 and I'm so wishing for somebody to kill his miserable character. Please put him out of his misery. His mind is infected with worms. Is this what the writer thought was a cool psycho study? Depressing, and if there's as season 4, i hope they don't sink this low.

Capone (2020)
Terrible movie with no plot
When people comment that this movie has no plot, THEY ARE NOT KIDDING. it is just a window into the miserable last years capone must have spent his life, mumbling, delusional, and crapping his pants.
Paradise Lost (2020)
Entertaining in the way of watching a train wreck
Very cliche way of portraying the deep south, obviously written by those who've never actually lived there (I've lived in NC, LA, MS, MO and CA) so yes, I know what I'm talking about. I think one other Reviewer said "Hollywood Politically correct in nauseating and bigoted way. Worth watching to see and understand how depraved the film industry have become." And I echo that sentiment.
Designated Survivor (2016)
Agent Hannah Wells basically drags the show down
Only 3/4 into season 1, but Agent Hannah Wells character is SO over the top cornball and absolutely weak as an FBI agent. Her character so far is just a distraction that drags the show out. She could have stopped this story line at 12 episodes if she were effective. She's too scared and overwhelmed.

Goliath (2016)
Great season 1, middling season 2, weird season 3
Season 1 shows BBT is no Harry Bosch, nor is he a Ray Donovan. He's not really a good lawyer, he just is good at orating in the court room. He gets owned way too many times, for the series finale to not really feel like a pay off. This series is ripping off Ray Donovan BIG TIME. The baseball bat scene didn't turn out like you thought, the evil mayor got away with putting a contract hit out on him, and the casino theme borrowed right off Ray Donovan series. Do yourself a favor, watch this first, THEN Ray Donovan. You come away from Goliath so unsatisfied that justice got done.... It kinda does, but barely, almost as if he had to depend on incredible luck
Another Life (2019)
Immature writing at the beginning, matures as it goes
Ok story line, but why would anyone send a bunch of whiney twenty year-olds who are so mentally unstable they mutiny and whine and curse. I'm not sure the astronaut directors who choose this crew were sober when they decided to send Nico off with this bunch of losers to save humanity. Don't miss the political statement about climate change thrown in in the first episode...come on, really? But then...episode 4 "Guilt Trip"! Great story.
Twin Peaks: The Return: Part 8 (2017)
Overly surrealistic self indulgement
Really the worst episode thus far. Sooo many ultra long time consuming (really pointless) scenes to fill the hour without really progressing the storyline...beginning with a full nine inch nails scream set which wasted several minutes of storyline. The atomic bomb test backstory was majorly hurt by the seemingly endless ripoff of the 2001 Space Odyssey trip thru the "wormhole" sequence ala, Altered States. I had the thought to FFwd thru all this excess as it was boring, but then I thought I might miss something...well I didn't...then I got sucked into the "drink from the well" littany for the next 5 minutes and at the end of the episode felt like I was ripped off of an hour of life I'll never get back. This really wasn't about Twin Peaks. Oh I'm sure somehow they'll tie it in, but it was the most pretentious episode...I think what you would call a "filler episode".
The Man with the Iron Fists (2012)
WARNING! Quentin Tarantino neither wrote, nor directed this movie
OK I FELL for it and bought this on "in Demand" pay per view. I watched all of 30 minutes and I couldn't take anymore. The only thing this has to do with Quentin Tarantino is his name on it (and I guess he likes martial arts movies). BUT, it was neither written, nor directed by him. That was sure some kind of favor he gave out. I gave it 1 star because you can't give negative stars. I normally don't stop watching or walk out of a movie but I'm glad I didn't go to the theater for this one. It wasn't even good cheesy martial arts like I thought it was going to be. It left me wondering how in the world would Tarantino lend his name to this and why renowned actors like Russell Crowe and Lucy Lui be a part of it. Just remember, the time you spend watching this, is time in your life you will never get back.
After... (2006)
Not original...but really terrible
OK, I'm one of the ones "who got it" and I still "hate" this movie. The idea of urban explorers going into dangerous buildings was the original idea, but everything else...especially the ending was just "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" or "Vanilla Sky" all over again. The opening scene fooled me at first, because they said their death farewells (I thought the girl was going to die). Later, when the flashbacks and delusions began, I said to myself "oh no, the girl didn't die, the GUY did, in the opening scene." So I switched to another channel. After reading the reviews here, I realized I was right and glad I didn't sit thru anymore of the crap that was the rest of the movie. Fortunately for me, I read the short story "Owl Creek Bridge" many many years ago in high school, before I saw it on TV. I think they should have stayed with the extreme explorer idea.
