Iwájú (2024)
I'm Nigerian and enjoyed it.
It's always nice to see things that reflect our culture on the big screen and after watching the whole series at a sitting also watch the making and enjoyed seeing what went into it. I was curious as to the theme but listening to the making put that in context.
I hope to see more things like this using artistes from the cultures represented. Nigeria is a multifaceted country and hope to see more content showcasing the many different cultures like Hausa, Igbo, itshekiri, ibibio, etc. However, this is a good start. I also loved the fact that this was a work that took almost 4 years to realize. That's not normal for Nigerian movies and it shows.
Thank you and looking forward to seeing more representation. It's important.
Prison Break (2005)
You won't want to stop!!!
Typically I hadn't really expected any series to top 24 which I had become an avid watcher of. But when m,y little sister said I should watch Prison Break, I thought, "what does she know about a good serial?" I probably didn't take her serious a couple of times until I was just lounging in the living room one day and she jumped and said, "Ah, Prison break." well wasn't doing anything so I stayed to watch.
I think it is one of the most keep you guessing plots I have watched in a long time. The acting and screenplay are very impressive and not having heard of dominic or wentworth, I was really impressed. They all have unique characters and the suspense keeps you on a constant high.
another factor is that they seem to make you look forward to seeing what different people do cos each character is an enigma in their own right. So many variables to consider. Make sure you add it to your library and can't wait for season three.
