Cry Macho (2021)
Pure and simple
Pure and simple this is just ANOTHER Eastwood masterpiece. The fact that I can say " just another " is testament enough. We may be seeing the greatest American actor of all time. Add directing, and just Pure QUALITY of work speaks for itself.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
VERY Entertaining !
One of the three most entertaining movies I've seen in the last year and a half !!
The Cast and Script ABSOLUTELY NAIL IT !!
Barefoot (2014)
One of the best romantic movies
One of the best romantic movies I've seen in a long time. Scott Speedman is great but Evan Rachel Wood is SPECTACULAR as the semi clueless character he supporting cast of J. K. Simmons, Treat Williams, and Kate Burton is supreme as well.
Well worth your time if your looking for romance.

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Best Titan Monster movie in decades !
Best Titan Monster movie in decades !
This movie grabs you right from the start. I didn't expect it to be this entertaining. I watched it on HBO Max at home. Probably best seen on the big screen but my 65" TV and sound bar was more than adequate to give it justice.
Great cast, Beyond Excellent script, and Exceptional Special Effects and CGI. In fact I imagine it could earn a nod for those effects in the next Oscars.
All nods to Peter Jackson's wonderful adaptation of Kong, but it won't top this movie. I'd be REALLY interested to know his thoughts on this movie.
It's not just another Titan movie that bombards you with nothing but endless action scenes. This movie actually has you feeling for Titans and the people studying them equally. The last third is where it truly pours on the action.
Can't say much more without spoilers but suffice to say it definitely delivers on the entertainment factor. Doubled with a fairly believable script, plus the fact they absolutely sell it that way, and this is exactly what one should expect from an exceptional Titan flick.

After Midnight (2019)
Surprisingly very good
Topic says it all. This is more a romantic drama. Just a tinge of horror. Didn't rely on much on cinematic computer generated special effects. Was however, a very engaging script. Well acted and good scenery to set the tone for a very well told story of a couples struggles in life. Well worth the time to watch.

Monster Hunter (2020)
Very good for your money!
I'm a Cinephile. Seen many, Many, movies.
This movie entertained me. I wasn't asking for anything more. Good B Class actors, nice storyline and script. Well above average special effects. It impressed me.
Mila Jovovich impresses as she continues to carve out a strong niche for female action movie heroes aka Schwarzenegger and Stallone.
If you choose to watch this don't judge it on the first twenty minutes as it has so much more to offer in a purely action packed and entertaining movie. If that's what your looking for then you have found a good, entertaining movie.
Plain fact is I truly enjoyed this flic and was glad I rented it.

Let Him Go (2020)
ABSOLUTELY RIVETING
Costner continues to add to his legacy and Diane Lane is exceptional, deserving of an Oscar nomination. As a great fan of hers I have no trouble saying that she truly upped her game for this one. I will also give credit to Jeffrey Donovan and Leslie Manville for spectacularly pulling of the villains. Shout out to Booboo Stewart as the supporting American Indian.
The script is perfection and the scenery and score are also perfect. Set work is literally out of this world.
HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a good western thriller and period piece. It's a fabulous movie worthy of Oscar attention.
Both Costner and Lane likewise. Their chemistry is beyond exceptional. I would like to think that Diane Lane finally gets her due and takes home the Oscar for Best Actress. Just check out her role in " A Little Romance ) when she was barely a teen and you'll know why I'm pulling for her.
This a RARE GEM folks !
A Teacher (2020)
Love Story
I'm sorry folks but this is quite simply a Love Story, not a Lust story.
I refuse to buy off on the whole abuse of power thing
These two characters were looking for something that only the other could provide.
It was obvious that it was HIGHLY emotional for both individuals.
In other words it was a Love Story gone wrong by the social morals that society places on us all.
What if they continued their relationship and lived happily ever after.
Dog Soldiers (2002)
This what Monster movies should be
This what Monster movies should be !
Very impressive. Edge of your seat the whole movie ! Excellent acting, script, and effects !
One of the best Monster Movies I've ever seen. No lie
Jack the Bear (1993)
Phenomenal
In short, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Great cast ( including a very young Reese Witherspoon ) fantastic script and emotions that run the whole gamut. TOTALLY UNDERRATED !!
Devito's best role ever.
Just watch it. See how many heartstrings it pulls in you.
My son told me to check it out and I've never looked back.
All time Hall of Fame IMHO
Bumblebee (2018)
Best of the series
As the title says this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience! It was funny, full of action, great screenplay, and full of heartfelt emotion! The cast was about average but the ABSOLUTE STAND OUT WAS HAILEE!! Very bright acting future in store for her! I mentioned acting first, because most would agree she is an exceptionally beautiful girl, but I was even more impressed by her ability to pull of some incredible acting packed to the gills with some very powerful emotional feelings. Great job girl!!
Back Roads (2018)
Absolutely Fantastic
Not much more I can say. This movie hits all the right notes for a dysfunctional family drama. Stellar script, acting, and just the right amount of tittilation to keep it it thoroughly engaging.
The Walking Dead (2010)
Pay attention
Come up people, who wouldn't like the combined hellfire that Rock and Negan could rein down on the dead !!!!!!
Alien: Covenant (2017)
Alien Covenant
I am simply beside myself by all the negative reviews of this movie. This was absolute CLassic Alien material ! Produced by the original master Ridley Scott ! I can't seem to remember a more Blatant smear campaign of a movie in my recent memory ! I bought the 4 K package and I can't think of a better way to spend $25.00 !
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Jackson did it right
I have long been a follower of Tolkien, and read the books about 20 years ago. This movie did the first book justice. It is more than a good movie, it is a great movie. Jackson stayed as faithful as possible to the main story line, and in the process, injecting the script with his own personal touches which were well done and necessary to make this story work as a film. Of course there were a few things I would have liked to see that had to be left on the cutting room floor, but if they were all included the movie would have been 5 hours long. I particular enjoyed the unexpected humor in the beginning of the movie, and the musical score was nothing short of brilliant. The special effects in the movie are second to none, and simply stunning and utterly mind boggling. Above all though, the scenery in this movie is truly breathtaking, and the acting is top notch. Sir Ian McCellan (sp?) IS Gandalf. It is like he was born for this part.
I left this movie thinking it was a great movie, and within the first hour I found myself remembering more of the scenes and acting, and started to like it even more. This movie will go down as a classic and will redefine special effects in the cinema and what we come to expect from a movie. My sincerest gratitude to Director Jackson for getting this movie right, and truly capturing the spirit of, arguably, 3 of the greatest books ever written. If you miss this movie you are truly missing out on a cinematic masterpiece. It is a rare gem and will be remembered as a classic, as well as a movie that raised the bar for those to come. Lucas, and Spielberg, welcome Peter Jackson into your company of greatest film makers of all time.
