I See You (2019)
By the end of the movie, the beginning makes no sense
This is a fairly solid movie that is quite suspenseful and has some good acting in it. Great plot twists - kept me engaged. However, the opening scene of the movie clearly makes the viewer think that the boy is abducted by a supernatural force, as he is seemingly pulled off of his bike mid-ride into the air. He wasn't. We never see the actual kidnapping, but he was taken by a dude. I understand the concept of trying to throw the viewer off in order to keep them guessing as to what's going to happen, but in my opinion, that's just annoying for a movie to scream "sci-fi" when it most definitely isn't. If that doesn't bother you, you'll love this movie.
Tell Me Lies (2022)
It's good - especially if you've been there
This isn't the best show I've ever watched, but it's good. If you've ever had the unfortunate luck of falling in love with a gaslighting sociopathic narcissist, this show hits home in ways that you didn't know were possible. I found myself sitting on my bed, shaking my head at both Stephen and Lucy at the end of nearly every episode. The acting is respectable, the storyline is interesting, and the soundtrack is GREAT. It's something fun to watch when you're cleaning the house or trying to multitask in some fashion - you can miss 10 minutes and not be like wtf just happened I need to rewind. I wish people would quit focusing on receding hairlines and moles on the actors and appreciate the show as a whole.
