Modern Family: Door to Door (2011)
Stella 4 star!
Pun very much intended.
A Modern Family classic and good use of "pairing" characters together. It really brings out their funny sides and who they are, making this one of the most hilarious episodes. Highly recommend to Streetcar fans too.
Manny and Jay end up bonding on selling wrapping paper.

The Sopranos: Second Opinion (2001)
Pulp.
There are two main second opinions in this particular episode: Carmela with Dr Melfi on her relationship with Tony and Junior with Dr Kennedy on his cancer diagnosis. The theme of opinions also plays out throughout the episode. For example, Tony paying $50,000 donation to Meadow's college, which he was only originally willing to pay $5,000. Also, Christopher gets annoyed when Paulie oversteps boundaries.
The pass few episodes, which IMO are 10/10 worthy, contain graphic and controversial scenes, which shows so much more of what the gangster world is like, including themes of capitalism and pride. That's why this episode does not hold up as well. Albeit, EVERY episode of The Sopranos is far superior than 95% of the shows airing today.
The issues with Carmela and Tony's relationship are symbolic in this episode. It is somewhat resolved when she finds it hard to accept she is an accomplice to his crimes, and wouldn't want to give up the life she has built in a divorce.
'I like d'one that says, "some pulp".'
Classic line.
Scarface (1983)
A great story of a brutal man
In my humble opinion, overall, this film is great. The way Al Pacino delivers the story of Tony Montana is primo. What's different about it is that he is playing a Cuban, instead of the usual Italian crime boss, which adds a whole new dynamic to the setting. The main issue with it is that it was made in the '80s - a decade of film making which it isn't suited for. The original was made in 1932, which seems a better time and setting for the film. If it was made ten years before hand, or ten years after, it would be one of those movies where not much else could touch it. Also, the amount of times a man high on cocaine can be shot is proved false by this specimen! Remove the synth music and film it in another decade and it's a 9/10.
