Creeped Out: Trolled (2017) Season 1, Episode 3

Some People get to Comftable on the Internet...but who faces the consequences?

Creeped out definitely started of the siries well, "Slapstick" and "Cat Food" both share good morals, and "Trolled" shares it's ideas and expresses a moral as well, which is the Internet. Somebody is going around and hurting other people by what they are saying online, it's a good issue to adress, and it still remains relevant today. Both good and bad, ofcourse. But be careful what you say, is exactly the direct message of this story. So collect the story, and let's begin the review of "Trolled" S1 Ep3.

Sam is struggling to get into his school, his mother has restraints, she's tight on budget. And is mostly struggling when it comes to money, so he decides to join the big sing at school. This is very reminiscent sadly of my life, It was hard to find me a placement for Primary. And important note, it was only secondary school that I kick started streight away. And Local Authority also made it difficult for us to take me to a college, the right place for me. So I was a couple of months late for it. So It kind of relates to me in many ways, and it is actually still relevant today. So this issue being tackled 6 years ago is rather impressive and I'm sure it'll relate to others too.

Sam is way to invested in making mean comments about people online, he's very comftable with being on the Internet to pick and poke fun on what others look like, or how they act. When in person, he's completely different. He's nice, he's caring and he even seems like a nice person, but really he's got rough motives that hinder throughout the story. He does get a warning for his actions, by Billy G. But he continues to ignore these warnings and carries on with his actions. Which he then faces serious consequences afterwards.

The Run time is around 23 Minutes. And it's a good episode. The length isn't unnecessarily long or anything, and it makes it slightly more enjoyable to watch. As the pacing is just right, it's never to slow, nor is it too quick either. The Characters have some good depth, especially Sam and what he says and does, how he lives his life. And how he has to overcome some challenges. So overall pretty good.

I would definitely recommend this Episode of creeped out, It is one of the better ones in my opinion. As I said before the show started of well and then lost steam. Good plot-twist at the end as well. And this is where the review is collected up, and the narrator signs us off. 7/10 Good Story!

Creeped Out: Cat Food (2017) Season 1, Episode 2

One of the BETTER Creeped Out episodes!

I find "Cat Food" to be one of the better episodes, it's certainly very weird, creepy and definitely engaging, most of the interest comes from Stu. I think he's rather funny, and his jokes are normally quite funny. I like the serious side to his character as well. And this episode has a sense of fear and adds that bit more creepiness to it then the previous episode.

So, Stu. He is supposedly not feeling very well, so we stay with this character for most of the episodes. The old lady from over the road seems to be doing something shady, or so Stu thinks. His mum doesn't seem to find anything strange or weird about her. But Stu finds her ordering food an animal would commonly eat. So this is where the suspensions start, he searches up what she could be. I like the fact she could be an 'entity' or something else. So when his mum goes to work, Stu is having to be babysat by the old lady from across the road.

The message is abit like 'The games the game" so in order to win fairly. And not cheat. The old lady not really being the innocent person you may think she is, asks Stu to play a game. If he wins, she can't swap bodies, talk about Freeky Friday and weird shanagans, this one takes the biscuit. Unfortunately for the old lady, or the 'entity' looses.

This means she cannot bother him, but can interact and play with someone else, and if she wins, she gets to swap bodies, creepy! So the episode then ends on a plot-twist, it was a whole day after, and something weird seems to be going on in the household. And that's where the episode ends. It was a FUN episode, that's not to be taken too seriously. You can even take it out of context, it makes it seem more obserd and fun when you do.

So my afterthoughts of the episode, is that "Cat Food" is one of the BEST from Creeped outs run, and I would definitely recommend it. The run-time, the length, and the character of Stu is very fun as we adventure with him and see what's really behind the old lady. With a good plot-twist too!, so overall I'd give this episode a solid 8/10. A very good effort!

Creeped Out: Slapstick (2017) Season 1, Episode 1

The Beggining of Creeped Out!

I'd say I wasn't in the minority of this opinion, but I do prefer "Are You Afraid of the dark" and "Goosebumps" over this show, with that said, this still has some good episodes, this one for me is average at best. But It's a decent start to this show. And does deliver some funny and scary moments. And for 23 Minutes, that's a good run-time. It never felt slow, it never got boring, and each of the individual characters are rather interesting.

I'll start with the family dynamic. Which works rather well in my opinion. The father is always trying to be funny and goofy, and the mother is also fun to be around. However, the teenager is rather stroppy and sulky and can be moody, but she can also have her funny moments and shows a caring side. It helps us to connect and sympathise with her fully. And I like how she is like most teenagers, they got it spot on. It's how a teenager does act.

Are main protagonist is the young daughter, we see her getting bullied, and she has a weird family that she doesn't get on board with sometimes, so she clears her head down at the beach and watches a puppet show. After the annoyance and the embarrassment she's had to suffer with when her parents are around.

So the Puppet gives her advice on her family, and that then changes them completely. I like how the puppet is creepy, but does act a bit oddly at times, and it can get uncomfortable to watch, but overall he's an interesting character to interact with.

Her parents after that ordeal with the puppet doesn't go quite to plan, the importance of accepting is the message of this story. But it did seem as though this would be the case, her parents then acting even weirder, stranger and even funnier. It did seem slightly predictable that the interaction with the Puppet wouldn't work, and I'm surprised she went with the puppets word.

She then goes back to the puppet to reverse the sycology of the situation she put herself through. But I like the ending of this episode. She had to face some kind of consequence for her actions. That then leads to the plot-twist which was handled very well, as it was very unexpected. So overall I would recommend certain "Creeped Out" episodes, but not all of them hit the ground running. This one's fine though, 5/10.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory: Rest Stop (2024) Season 1, Episode 2

Rest Stop Review

Another great audition to the show, this episode was very Entertaining and didn't disappoint. The fact it balances out the humour and the scary moments is great, and how it manages to complete both of them in both episodes.

Brooklyn is still a key figure to the group, and I like her importance in this siries. Each character shares a memory they have with her, and that poures the heart and the sole into the TV show. And they have great emotional weight and depth. As when the character dies and still gets talked about, you know there signiticance.

The Boys still think they are being tracked and hunted down. However, Darius comes to other conclusions first. Until they find themselves being properly followed this time. It was a great way to build tension and even with the suspense of the episode. The Rest-stop the best area for a stop, and for a suspicious acting guy to be on a phone call. Raises these questions, that they might just be being followed.

The shots and the wide shots in this episode and other episodes are georgeous and beutiful to look at. The surroundings are perfectly lukewarm and gives the episode some beutiful cinematography and lighting. The effects also really build the tension. And also add a layer to them. Light and dark doesn't matter, they still look lovely.

The plot-twist is also great, Just like "Aftershock" which also had a great plot twist. I'd definitely recommend this Episode, and siries which has been really good.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory: Aftershock (2024) Season 1, Episode 1

It's very Intense

Some great storytelling here. This episode builds up tension very well, and it is a more darker episode then the previous show called " Camp Cretaceous " and the siries now has are characters as young adults. And they are now pre-teens.

The episode "Aftershock" starts of with a Dinosaur on the loose, and shows the workers are out of there depth not being able to control it. Darius comes along and rescues the workers. They know that it was Darius, only he's become older. And knows how to control Dinosaurs.

Darius is shown to have moved on from the group, and is now living alone in a Cabin. He is not able to accept the death of Brooklyn. So he presses on a pre-recorded call just to hear her voice again. It's a good way of showing are character morning the death of a good friend, and shows how important she is to Darius.

The last 3 minutes is on-the-ropes, are characters have now been met with Dinosaurs. And it's a very Entertaining and gripping end to the episode. The plot-twist is also fantastic, then setting up the next episode very well. And this episode was very Entertaining throughout.

I would Definitely recommend the show, started of well just like Camp Cretacious. "Aftershock" was a gripping start. 8/10.

Doctor Who: 73 Yards (2024) Season 1, Episode 4

A Masterpiece

This episode was truly spectacular, and this episode now takes over as the best episode of the siries, a lot of things worked, and a twist ending that I did not see coming. And most of this episode has really good pacing, acting and some great tension throughout the story. It was Dark, it was wild, but it also had tints of humour added in.

The first thing that's good about this episode is Ruby played by (Millie Gibson) her performance throughout was brilliant. She really carried the whole episode on her own. And this episode really pushes are companion to the limits, and without the Doctors help she has to make decisions and fide out the problems for herself. It's a really good way of getting us to connect with are companion, and it shows us how she's getting on in life, always having to be 73 Yards from this weird figuire.

This episode starts of at Wales, and the Doctor fell into a loop hole I presume. That's then why Ruby is left to do things by herself. She then stops when she sees an old lady, she apologises for treading on property. However, the figure seems to keep following her, which damages her relationships and even when she ages, she still has the figuire following her. It's a really dark and mystical tale that works rather well. It keeps the tension up throughout. And whenever a person goes up close to the figure, they then want to run away. It creates this sense of mystery. And the tension is never dropped, the strange figuire never disappears.

The other good bits are seeing Ruby's family, and them connecting together again. And on the topic of connecting, Ruby also has Unit beside her as they try and take the Figure down. This Is where some humorous moments come into play, where Kate is talking about the devices and how they are protected by anybody and everything, however this figuire is able to manipulate and scear people of, so Ruby is then stuck. And she has to figure away out. So she decides to get rid of the awful Mayor, keeping 73 Yards away, where then the figure Scares them of.

My theory for the ending, was that it was an alternate reality where Ruby was much older. Much like Doctor and Rose in "Father's Day" where there's two versions of the same character, much like "The Hungry Earth" where Amy and Rory have Doppelgangers of themselves.

Would Definitely recommend this episode, the best of the siries now, 9/10.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Tale of the Twisted Claw (1990) Season 1, Episode 4

A Very Twisted Lady Indeed

This episode reminds me of a Haunted Hour episode, both with old ladies who both have weird antics. And I very much enjoyed this story, which craft and magic always makes for a fun Horror Story, and it works here too. The old Lady is also terrifying in her own rights, not giving much away. I also like the setting, it's on Halloween so that livens up the atmosphere alittle bit. Are You Afraid of the Dark? Is a good show.

So two Boys mock an old Lady for her weird behaviour, they then knock on her door. They then run away, unfortunately for them the lady knows who the boys were. So when they turn up the next day she immediately opens up the door, expecting and anticipating there arrival. They are then granted wishes, they seem like very vague wishes, but wishes none the less.

It turns out that the lady has weird powers, and that she is actually magic. Hiding a dark secret from those around her, and acting rather unusual was because she was out-of-the-ordinary. Something seemed off at the start, and she gives us a really convincing performance. The weird and wacky side, but also evil side came into full effect here. And I like the surroundings of the trees nearby, it gives that certain type of ambience. So overall, a good episode. Time for my verdict.

Would I recommend this Episode ?

For Which craft and a whole lot of fun yes, 8/10.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Tale of the Lonely Ghost (1992) Season 1, Episode 3

Another Good Tale from Are u Afraid of the Dark?

I Watched Are you Afraid of the Dark awhile back and enjoyed the majority of the episodes, the reason this is rated slightly lower is because a Haunted house is a common theme, and this one just didn't interest me as much as the others. The "Tale of Laughing in the Dark" however, is one of the best written, and best episodes to date. It was a fantastic story, that was very intreging.

The main thing that I wasn't keen on, was the relationship between the cousins. They didn't really feel like a family, and they were mostly taking cheap shots at each other. And it was like they had never seen one another before. It didn't really add up. And the Cousin was hard to route for in this story, even with some other things on her mind.

I still admire the Formula of how the stories are presented, each get there individual turn, and each of them all have there own separate themes, like "Magic" or "Spookyness" as an example, some even share the same characters. A Haunted house being the side plot was executed rather well, and it's because it leads to a great plot-twist. The formula seems to work better in this episode, as it's the first time in the show they added a great a great plot-twist. That was nowhere near to be expected.

The Creepy Grandmother finds closure when she sees her daughter stuck inside the mirror, trying to call for help. That's why she was always acting suspicious about the house not-so-far away. Which looking back, makes even more sense why she was scared to go in. And now that's where I leave it, time for my analysis.

Would I recommend this Episode?,

Above Average, Yes from me-6/10.

Doctor Who: Boom (2024) Season 1, Episode 3

Boom Is the Best Episode of the Series so Far!

Very Thrilling episode, and I enjoyed it. Boom is the Best so Far, and Is a massive improvement over "Space Babies" and although I did Ultimately enjoy "The Devils Chord" this one-off Episode by Steven Moffat Beats the rest. Doctor Who in Disney form, is shaping up nicely. I hope they can Continue In this way. And The Formula here is the best of the Bunch too.

The perfect way for a Story is for are main Protagonists to have Chemistry between each other. Ncuti Plays the light side of the Doctor very well, and plays of the Dark side to the Doctor, very well too. "Turn it into Dust" the speech he made was great, it finally showed us the dark side of this Doctor. And Ruby continues to have great chemistry between her and the Doctor. And they bounce of each other very well, and they even make me chuckle every know and again with the things they say.

The Pacing of the episode is also at it's best here. It never feels rushed, It never feels like it's going to slow. They only stay In one Location, and It remains Interesting and engaging throughout. The Splice Character has a great relationship with her father, and the episode is touching at times, when Splice is trying to be with her dad. And the intensity of the Situation is highlighted with the Doctor being stuck on a Designated Bomb throughout it's run.

The War Characters even seem to have a great relationship. And the Death of her loved one is really touching, and him being killed in the manner that he was is truly horrific and Dark. And I like the tonal shifts here, this episode isn't afraid to be Dark, and it goes for it. With some great character drama pulling this Episode together.

The Planet they are on, well the Shots and the Cinematography is stunning. The Planet looks wonderful, in space. The Sky Surrounding it has lots of beutiful colours, also showing a light side as well as a dark side to the episode. And the ending with the Snowflake falling was great to see. Some sort of connection to Ruby.

Would I recommend this Episode?,

Yes, Boom is Fundamentaly Fantastic, 9/10.

Imaginary (2024)

What the audience expected Vs what they got

The Film was looking like a Horror, instead it was more of a kids Film. And a Whimsical one at that. It was the Furthest distance imaginable when it came to Horror. And I was actually quite surprised myself. I thought it was going to be rather scary, however that was just not to be. The jump Scares, well...they were more funny then anything. So Let's digest the Flaws and the positives of Imagination, or In other Words (IF).

A Big Bear called Blue, who's actually purple is meant to make the audience scared. When he came into the film, I thought that was going to be a turning point, it was then going to be scary. But do you think a cuddly and clumsy Bear is going to turn out scary? Then you'll get a Resounding NO. There's Nouthing scary about the Bear, apart from his size. And the amount of Times he needs to sneeze, I guess it's to keep the audiences attention.

I like the endless possibilities, and that saying that "anything is Possible" still rings out as true. As you can believe in anything if you put your mind to it. The Film demonstrates this in a good way, by showing us old memories of the toys we loved the most. And how we can remember them. The Ballet scene with the Grandma is very delightful, and it's a great part of the film, Grandma re-living her past Childhood is something we'd all like to do, I'm sure.

Although, I wish the explanation was handled and approached better, It just sort of seemed to get brushed aside, and I actually think that it was Important. And the Characters sharing there memories as part of there Childhood would of also been great. As the emphasis on the film is believing and seeing, and Invisioning part of there Childhood would of been nice to see, old Memories being remembered.

The Father and Daughter dynamic however is very interesting. The thought of a child growing up can be hard to imagine, but you can still find ways to have fun with one another. And they themselves share some good memories between each other. And the Camera they have of them memories creates a moment of warmth and heart to the film. And the ending was very well thought out, I loved how they did it, very clever.

However, if you were expecting a Horror, Like me you'll be disappointed.

Would I recommend this Film?,

No, not what I was Expecting. But, Sort of in a good way. 4.5/10.

Doctor Who: The Devil's Chord (2024) Season 1, Episode 2

Who says Music can't be Evil?

Well, this episode says otherwise. The new series has offered entertainment, and fun. And this episode has that in Abundance. The setting and costume designs are classy, call and Vibrant. I love the old 1930's feel. Ncuti Gatwa sold me more in this episode then in his previous episode. He wasn't different enough to make him stand out, but in this episode, it shows he suits the Doctor perfectly well.

Monzoo is an evil drag queen, who seeks evil when Music plays. I like the idea of the villain, Monzoo's over-the-top performance captures the cheesiness of the plot and the episode itself. And the fact we get the Beetles is also very fun. Monzoo was an interesting Villain, although a little too much at times and a bit chaotic, but the magic of the songs people played would then take her to that specific place. That's some hauntingly brilliant stuff right there. And her dark and evil persona is played throughout. And Monzoo is very scary when you see her pop out of any Piano.

I like how all the characters are having fun, especially the Doctor and are companion. Who venture time and space back into 1931. Before the beatles were a thing, it's a fun concept, with a fun premise, whilst everyone of the actors are all having fun themselves. The musical notes are also well choreographed by Murray Gold himself, who is a fantastic composer. With that said, I hope they don't do this for the next episodes. As Doctor who isn't really meant to be a musical. Although however, I like how the actors are having fun and enjoying themselves, that's the main thing.

I also like how the Next time for the next episode isn't too revealing, we only get a couple of seconds and the episode ends. It's great they are doing this, because we can only guess what's happening in the next episode. But we know that there's a speech.

So, Would I recommend this Episode?

Yes, Very fun and Entertaining. But if you don't like Musicalls, then don't watch this.

Doctor Who: Space Babies (2024) Season 1, Episode 1

A Solid Start to a new Era of Doctor who

The starter isn't one of the best, however this is the first episode of a higher budget series that is promoting the 'Whoniverse' which I like to see that. And it does a decent job of this when the Credits roll up at the start of the episode. Space Babies is a fun adventure, that has an interesting premise. So let's talk about the new Era of Doctor who. That will become good, in dew time. And even some of the episodes seem to be really exciting and energetic.

So we are first greeting with Dinosaurs, are first venture into Space. This is to give are new companion a taste of what it's like travelling with the Doctor. And minor references to earlier years of Doctor who. Which is what gets me excited for the new Era of the show. Now, back to Ruby Sunday. She seems like a great companion, that has great chemistry with the Doctor, which was lacking in S11-13 of the beloved show. But this episode starts out well with a trip back to the Dinosaur time, and that was really exciting.

The concept seems to work, it's silly and goofy but it does share some nice moments with our individual characters as a whole. And the plot is rather stretched out, with some of Doctor who's law put in place, and the overall plot of the episode. It is a fun time. The villain is well crafted too, and the climax to the big reveal is rather entertaining. I like the fact that the Space Babies imagine and invasion a monster, and it then becoming a reality. It's cleverly done and the big build up works in the execution.

The family dynamic has been brought back to the show, it was quick and minor, but I hope we can build on the family dynamic later down the line. As that was what made S1-S4 of Doctor who feel very connected and special. The Doctor himself had his moments, he doesn't feel quite like the Doctor yet, and if you've seen the episode you'll probably know what I mean. It isn't a bad episode though however. And there is nice music capturing the heart and the warmth that is Doctor who.

Would I recommend this Episode?

Yes it entertains and new audiences will enjoy it, 6.5/10.

Warbirds (2008 TV Movie)

WarBirds Is a Fun War Film, An underatted action Hit

This has a criminally low score, I mean c'mon 3.2? It's nowhere near that sort of level of bad. Even a 3 is too harsh, and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 16 is Wild. This film was fun, had some good moments with our Characters and was entertaining. The Movie did have It's downs though, most noticeably the CGI effects when they are trying to get away from the Birds, but all-in-all fairly decent. This is NOT worse then Horrid Henry the movie, or on par with the Emoji Movie.

Skipper-She's the Pilot of the crew, and I love her confidence and determination to kill the Birds. As unfortunately for them, they were stuck in a massive storm, and leaking out fuel. They then found an Island where they were ultimately stuck on. Skipper is a great leader, and even challenges the Man who's in charge of the soldiers, it shows she's keen to do the right thing, and make ends meat when needed. She gives others a chance. And she was a well developed character throughout the film, her personal growth was great.

I found the CGI when they were crash landing very computer style animation, and it did not look good. Although some of the effects of the Island are very nice to look at. However, the effects did need a few tweeks here and there which would of made the film slightly better. And the squares that show up when something doesn't connect well, also was inside the film. Which fultered the realism of when they were flying and when they were in the air.

Most of the time the tension was on point, the film was very fast paced but the less important stuff took a shorter amount of time, and this can be a good and bad thing. The good is that the characters have some great dialogue together whilst flying up in the air , and the uniform is perfect for the realism. The bad is that the other characters didn't really get a proper send off when they died, whereas whew the confidence of the younger lady takes control of a bad situation, her confidence gets the better of her. A more rash side to a younger person. But she has a nice goodbye with a funeral, which was perfectly acted, directed and even shot.

The Rivalry between the Chinese people and the American people also carried alot of tension. They held lots of Guns which showcased both there violent nature and even aggressive behaviour. And they do help each other out, or try to. I wish the Chinese would of been better prepared as they seemed to be stuck in wooded up area alot. And it did sort of ruin the rivalry at times as there were no stakes. And the rivalry we did get was displayed well here.

The Terror bird creatures were really fast, and they were very Vicious which made them very scary and very deadly. This movie carried a threat to it with these birds, as they were mostly very very angry. And they killed alot of the Americans, who were all in Red lipstick and had lots of make up, it didn't reflect on the environment they were in, but the Birds kept the tension up. And Skipper did look well trained for following orders and did seem experienced in her role. Regardless of how she and the other girls were presented.

The Length of the film wasn't bad either, it could of been longer, and the rivalry could of been more stretched out. But overall the length of the film reflects well on the pacing and even the overall story itself. It works as it doesn't drag on, and the film doesn't need to. It was well paced, it was good fun, and the tension was up the whole time. The risk factor was so high and good in this film, the Birds were presented as relentless and evil. But the humans manged to strike them down. And the war was also ended near the end. Talking about an ending, this is where I now end my review.

Would I recommend this Film?,

War, Camera,action, yes I would. NOT a bad Effort!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)

The End of a Saga, The End of It all

A great film, I love the Harry Potter films, all sparking there own magic and telling fantastic stories. Some are Travel Hp 5 and 7 Respectfuly and the others containing a sense of magic, and family dynamics, Hp 1 and 2. And Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire having action as it's main aim, Hp 6 being Dramatic and dark. But the increadible arc ends when we are hit with the 8th Installment of the franchise, that embarks on a greater adventure like no other. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Ends the run of films well.

Neville Longbottom was always the most awkward one out of the friend group, and he was always embarrassed on a weekly basis. However, that all changes in this film. He's tougher and certainly more braver. This is perfect growth as he was always the shell, now he's finally concured any on going fears, and decides to help the gang defeat the one we do not speak his name. It's great to see him taking on a fierce roll, it shows he's changed as a character. And that's sometimes Vital.

I love the scenes when Harry Is talking to Dumbledore and the importance of Dumbledore throughout the series. As he was such a key character in the franchise so even though he had previously passed away, I like seeing him again, and being the guidance for Harry, Much like in the Chamber of Secrets. It works here too, because we know what Dumbledore means to Harry, Goblet of Fire didn't quite get that right, but we atleast got to see the importance of him, and why he was a key figure in the series as a whole.

It feels like a true Finale as well, as everyone gets to join in on the madness, and even destroy the villains themselves. It highlights the importance of each character and why they are in this film in particular, Like Ron's, Ginnys, Fred and George's mum is annoyed with Bellatrix is nasty comment towards her own daughter, so she becomes strong and fierce and kills her. It's a great way of showing emotion and the characters importance to the series as a whole. Which is a great build up to what was happening before, Characters having more things to do, getting more involved in the plot, it works here.

I like the fact that Ginny and Harry had kids, much like Ron and Hermione. They had kids, and at the end of the story they got shiped of to Hogwarts, as well as there parents who had gone previously. It's a great way to end on a cliffhanger and add a bit of mystery to the mix, it gells well with ending the franchise, and even starting a new legacy. And Part 8 does a fantastic job of this. The only real thing, was Harry and Ginnys relationship. As it was rather under-developed, with that said a great way to end the franchise. It went out on a high, a Finale done right.

Would I recommend this film?,

Yes, Fantastic. Especially if your a Potterhead, you'll love it!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

Part 1 is Exhilarating, Thrilling and has good emotional depth

The 3 Key points to make a decent to good film is shown in it's description, at the top. It's what makes this movie gell, yeah sure not everything works but it's still a good film that tackles many things. Arguments, action and even a sad scene. The Movie is very intense, and will get to that, but honestly the siries is very good, mostly having an average of 7 for me. Which is a good score for a film, I think the Movie is better then Chamber of Secrets (score of 5) and Half Blood-prince (score of 6). So it's better then those too in my opinion. And although this movie is meant to be filler, granted it does work quite well.

The Wedding of Harry's and Ginny's seems to be coming together well, theirs some nice scenes with each of the characters here and the writing team seems to have done a good job. Then the movie starts to get more intense and becomes a thrill-ride to watch. When Bellatrix turns up and tries to ruin things, this chase scene is well shot, well executed and fantastically choreographed, with plenty of thrilling moments here it seems to be quite exciting. Especially when are characters move from one place to another, and being on high alert for any danger. They are completely unsafe, they even go in an ordinary café and that turns out to go badly. But with the cleverness of Hermione they are able to get out of the situation safely, and more importantly alive.

The Camping scene doesn't feel like it fits in with Harry Potter, but for understandable reasons the group needs somewhere to hide. Ron and Harry have a falling out and this creates some tension between the two characters, but they quickly resolve their issues and are focused on nothing else but the Horcruxes. Which they are chased by in the woods, it seems to have very high stakes and risks in this film, and for the most part it works really well. It's very intense and shows how exhilarating this movie can be, with some close calls happening between some of the Characters.

However, what isn't a close call is Dobbie's death. Which is really well directed and performed by the guy who plays Dobbie. Sadly Bellatrix had killed him, just like she had killed Serious Black. And her cackle is nightmare fuel for anyone, disturbing and almost as if to say it's a bit creepy in away. This has some great moments between the cast.

I feel like this should of been shorter or should of just been one part, but the film certainly works very well on it's own too feet. I didn't like the other goblin either, he seemed very rude and grumpy and for no rymal reason. He was only temporary which was good. But the Run Time for the movie isn't so bad, just some scenes feel dragged out and others feel like it's going too quick at times. There's a lack of cohesion inside this film in my opinion.

So, Would I recommend this film?

Yes, I'd recommend all of them, they all have their enjoyable moments, 6.5/10.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

Half-Blood Prince is Half Baked

A decent film, again Harry Potter always seems to be a great franchise, I think the movies are mostly consistent, and judging by my overall thoughts and the ratings I've given the films, I think consistentency as a whole is a very big claim. But, Ultimately a true one. Only ONE film gets a 5, but a 5.5, this one gets a 6, the rest get a 7-7.5 Rating. So they are definitely consistent in my opinion. But Half Blood-Prince is my SECOND least favourite of the franchise. Not saying it's bad, but not one I revisit that much when choosing a Harry Potter film.

One glaring issue I have of the film is it's actual premise, some things seem to breeze past without an explanation, and it's the least Coherent (if you can really say that) in the franchise. Harry is eating Breakfast, then it cuts to a weird scene, a scene that's magical. And then it cuts to the train scene with Proffesor Dumbledore. But it happens rather quickly. He then visits an old friend of his with Harry, introducing a new character to us. This was a nice scene, and the moment didn't get rushed, it was perfectly paced.

The darker themes didn't fit with the overall film, it was a bit too dark with the franchise, and the tonal shift that was gradually building, seemed to of taken it's toll. As the Effects are miserable, right from the opening scene it's hard to know what's really about to go down, like it's a sort of grey Misty effect. And the colour palet is just not the right fit, some scenes are TOO dark. Like, over-the-top dark. But It may of been nice, as it does fit with the story, just the effects aren't up to par with the elements and therefore isn't able to use it effectively, not enough anyway.

But, there are some good. I like how Malfoy has to make a consecutive decision about what happens to Professor Dumbledore, and what might happen next. It's really high on emotion and is a very sad scene, especially as Harry's in the room. That was quite Morbid. However, Draco doesn't want to kill Dumbledore. And the scenes with Harry and Snape were great throughout, it really added depth to Harry's parents and what they we're like as people.

The main Duo are very good in this, Harry especially as he's tackled with his dark past and has to see Dumbledores death play out, which is a very emotional scene that was beautifully played out by the actors. It was a very good scene in the film, and that whole act had some great moments, overall a fantastic scene. In a decent movie.

So Would I recommend this film?

Yes, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has it's worthwhile moments, even if the effects are a bit of a LETDOWN, 6/10 Not Bad!

Prey (2024)

Some great moments, in a Poor Film

I wasn't expecting much, the film is called Prey. But, it was slightly disappointing. Like, the opening scene was really good, and started out interestingly, but as the movie progressed, it got worse and worse. It was slightly amusing, the characters choices, and actions to things. And it sort of just felt abit off, like it had potential, but never set foot, much like the plane. So Let's talk about Prey.

The First 10 Minutes was very good, we get to see some nice landscapes, and even a death. And the crash landing of the plane, in such a futile area was great to see. The film wasn't afraid to have stakes, in the land of the Nara, takes the land of the innocents. Where Lions, Hyeenas lurk, there burial ground for Prey. And it looked as if this movie was going to take off, it didn't. Unfortunately, I was hoping the movie was going to be great, because the first 10 Minutes is warranted a 7.5-8 just because of how Entertaining it is, and how interesting it is. Unfortunately the next parts let the film down massively.

Like the Characters are so poorly written, and mostly one dimensional. And they make poor and questionable decisions throughout that leaves alot to be desired. Like, Instead of moving on, the couple decide to stay, and even after knowing there lives are at risk. And they could potentially get killed, an Injured leg for the wife, but they offered to carry her. So giving up and just staying where the Plane had crash landed isn't the wisest of choices. She is Unfortunately eaten by the Lion, which was to be expected. The others do the right thing and try and get out, before they are eaten alive. That doesn't quite work out for them, but trying to escape is better then being sat behind, near a preserve that consists of the deadliest things. In Nature, with no armed weapons to protect themselves, nothing but vulnerability.

Another silly decision the gang makes is having someone stand outside, only because the aircraft doesn't have enough space for the Four of them. But, when your lives are at risk, surely you'd protect each other, and not have another one keep guard and get eaten by a viscous Lion. Luckily they didn't stumble across Cheetas either!, as our group would of been eaten in seconds, with very questionable decisions.

They are faced with another group, but this time of deadly assasins, a group, like a cult. They shoot one of the 3 members that remain alive, meaning to of them are faced with death, or questioning which still would lead to death. The too survivors catch the assasins of guard as both of them fall asleep, this means the gang have time to escape, they don't!...they try and get the Gun of one of the armed gang members, wild! But luckily they survive the attack and kill the 2 armed gang members who were left there by the others.

In the end, there's one surviver. Lots of Beutiful scenery, some cool wide shots, and some great scenes with the other animals, Like Giraffes and the Elaphants and even the Birds was great too see. The film didn't deliver on what it could of done though, but it's now time for the overall summary, although I think you know the outcome of it.

Would I recommend this Movie?,

Get drunk with Friends and laugh at the stupidity of this film, otherwise don't watch this. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. 3.5/10.

Scoop (2024)

Baste on a true story, It scoops it's way onto stage

I actually sore "The Night Agent" last year, showcasing are corrupt government, and in "Scoop" shows us what's really behind the scenes. "Sex Education" star in this, and the wonderful Billie Piper, who's in my personal favourite show. So it was nice to see a cast that I was fond of, not that it matters, it's just interesting to see them on here. And they all do a fantastic Job here.

Starting of, we get a zoomed in image of the government, taken by a photographer who seems keen to know what's going on. It really builds the tension early on, and I love how he's undercover. It's like he's searching for clues, and taking photographs to show to his wife played by (Billie Piper) who works at the BBC centre. It's as if they are going to write a story about what the Government are doing in the locations they are in. I do have to admire these scenes, because the actors act very formal, and secretive. Which is a very accurate depiction of the people in charge. And they even look around to see if anyone's there.

I like the realism of this story, the arguments come naturally. Everyone's daily life feels so real, and that's because it Is a true story. But, it just feels so natural. Walking to work and looking slightly too tired for it, it feels more relatable then anything. And the conversations between the BBC broadcasters are on-and-off. And I presume that we're to be the case, because Everyone's going to disagree on something. And the news it's very well put together. That's more of where the realism of the story takes place.

I would of liked to of seen more of the photographer, he wasn't in much, and in the first 5 minutes it seemed as if he was going to be a central part of the story, unfortunately he wasn't, but the moments we did get were very cool, the wideshots and the sun shining down on the water in the central park, that was beutiful. And as a character he did interest me.

The Interview was the best scene, and the constant questions being raised, will still be around in 5 years time, I have no doubts on that one. And it was perfect to see, especially as the Government is corrupt, as we know. So to see them being asked questions puts a further stans on things. The Interview is also very well done, it's scenary is also good, but it's realism strikes in these scenes. A very accurate depiction of how the Government acts and awnsers the specific questions, and how many questions the interviewer is willing to question.

Overall, a good film, I feel as If it should of been shorter, the middle felt a little dragged out. But I was interested and engaged in this True story, much of it comes from the realism and real life problems that we all suffer from, one way or another. And how we are able to deal with these situations, it's very broad and Scoop isn't afraid to go deep.

Would I recommend this Film?,

Yes, It's very interesting, 5.8/10.

The Inbetweeners (2008–2010)

Easy Going, Very intreging comedy!

The Inbetweeners show has always had a soficisticated charm surrounding it, its unapologetically British too. It thrives from awkward kids being put into awkward positions, most noticeably S2 Ep4 where they drive up to London. This show after all these years is still absolutely full of life and wonderful. It's an easy watch, it's very intreging. And I always enjoy watching it. So let's digest it, and see what's so good about it, in each specific season.

Season 1,

Season one is great, it kicks starts the boys adventures and wild rides through childhood/teenage years and shows them in school, struggling to fit in. What works here is the fact that it's so relatable, I remember my first time in Year 7, I was excited but nervous. And same with my College. So it relates in some way. The insults on Will and his constant comebacks never fails to amuse me, he's a clever nerd and is a goody two-shoes. Just like me. And he rearly swears. Simon had a crush, a long-lasting one, again we've all had one of those. And it continues throughout the siries and it does fit in with how close them both are, Family wise. Carly. Jay is the lier of the group and always tries to act cool, only to be more impressive then he actually is. Which is honestly Hillarious. Neil is a total idiot and doesn't understand sarcasm, but he seems to like girls, and more..., again somewhat relatable. I'd say the best episode is Thorpe Park. That was funny and it was well paced. They also had some great moments collectively. I wish Season 1 was funnier though.

Season 2,

My favourite part of Season 2 is the work experience the boys had to over come. And Season 2 is still relateable In that sense, the characters are put in even more embarrassing situations and even WORSE scenarios then before. It's the perfect siries. The best episode is definitely the London one. "BUS W*****S" is honestly so funny and the "ooh Friends" is also Hillarious. And probably Neil's most insane lines of dialogue ever. And Jay's, and that's saying something. And this is all throughout Season 2 which makes it even worse. Season 2 had mostly perfect paced episodes. Although I wish they weren't so restricted in length, I wish they were a bit longer, and the characters were slightly more developed. But the main protagonists are fun and interesting enough, and very relatable so you can reason with them.

Season 3,

The cast remain to have great growth together. They seem to understand each other. And this is the last season unfortunately for us. The Chemistry between the boys Is great and they make each episode better. The Camping trip is my favourite episode because there all together and pranking one another's relatives. And Simon struggling with the fact he has to move. Whilst, Carly is still around, and still his undenying crush. And this season is not only funny, but sad and hard felt especially when the boys only had this as there last season. But all 18 Episodes have charming characters, a likeable and relateable protagonist in Will, and awkward personas when involving girls with them. It was intreging and it didn't take my long to finish a full re-run of the show, yes guilty as sin!

So would I recommend The Inbetweeners?,

After all these years, yes. But be careful as there's a lot of vulgar scenes and swear words, 8/10.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)

A Fantastic Film, that delves more into the Wizardry Elements!

Harry Potter:And the Order of the Phoenix is a very good film. Unpopular opinion, this may be a HOT take, but it's the third best in the Siries. Behind numbers 3 and 8. The films length is also very good, it moves at a steady pace to keep you entertained, it sits at 2hrs and 18 Minutes as the run-time. The Film is more thematically rich in colour, the overall tone and effects. And overall it's fairly dark, but that doesn't change the quality of the film or decreases the quality. It's still fantastic.

I like the start, it's very dark and gloomy. You get a sense of how this films going to go. And it goes quite quickly, really quick. In the first 5 minutes we have a playground scene, and Harry and his brother running from something. It's a Dementor, and Harry actually has to figure out away on how to get rid of the problem, it has high stakes, and puts are character in a difficult situation. He chooses to use a spell to get rid of them. And it takes a toll for the worst, as Harry is then confronted by the wizardry of Magic. Stating your not allowed to use magic, outside of Hogwarts.

The Villain (Delores Umbridge),

Is little miss perfect, and for that reason alone makes her completely unlikeable. She's such an unlikeable character, and she's presented this way. This is a good thing, they do a very good job of it. She's in your face, she's rude and very bossy. She's even snitching on Harry when he's doing magic outside of Hogwarts, and makes up a fake story on how there wasn't any Dementors and there was no actual trouble. Which is absolutely insane, and remarkable as to how she can say that. And takes away all the love from the students, she separates them so she ruins not only Harry's life, but there's too.

The Wizardry,

They even go back in time which was cool, it had never been done in a Harry Potter film before. The story is all about how Harry leads them on to victory, in the final installment of the franchise. The 5th Film is Harry teaching them how to do spells. Ounce perfected they then do another trick that will then be used again, and it's all of them. They keep practicing before it all goes right. And although it may seem filler just before the Finale, but it works very well on it's own personal terms. And that means there's alot of personal growth for are characters here.

The Duels,

Are very exciting here, I was on the edge of my seat when I sore Lucius waving his wond and chasing the Gryffindor students about. And that death scene was so upsetting to see (no Spoilers). And the best-of-the-bunch is definitely Voldemorts and professor Dumbledores fight, it was Iconic. Lots of tricks being performed and it was just brilliant to watch them battle each other and out think one another. It was a nice change of pace and a breath of fresh air. Just like when they were flying away from the Dementors, that was very intense and interesting.

Would I recommend this film?,

I would Recommend this film to most, 7.5/10.

The Beekeeper (2024)

This film is far from spectacular, and going in I really didn't know what to expect. I knew that Statam would have a lot of fights, and with an 'R' rated property, it would go right in. And much like it's title, the movie passes on the 'average at best' quote. There were a tone of clever fight scenes, however the actual story is sub-par and rather under-developed. I think a 5 is probably generous, but it was watchable and it did Entertain me.

The concept of the Beekeeper is actually quite good, I like the fact he's just a normal guy that happens to look after Bees. And even has a Beehive, to hide out from any trouble, he causes the trouble himself, but he tries to hide himself from the bad guys. And Although he doesn't do a very good job of it, he is still able to find away out of a sticky situation, no pun intended. I like how simple the story is, this is good and bad. But, I wasn't expecting this to be Oscar worthy, and to just be entertaining, which it is. The easy to follow story is a nice change of pace and this means it can delve into the fight scenes a little more, and it does have a tone of fight scenes. And we immediately know who the bad guys are. And we know there intentions. However, the premise can be a little thread bare in terms of character development and an actual complex story, so it does have it's downsides.

The action is very good, as said it does get swiftly onto it. My personal favourite is the one at the Gas station, it ends abruptly but it uses some humour and some clever movement from Statam, that's very well choreographed. Much like most of the fight scenes, they start and end rather quickly, but you can really feel some of the hits the bad guys have to endure. Statam has to use some quick movement to get out of any situation, which can lead to some cool fight-scenes regarding lots of armed guys, and how he works himself out of it. And it was entertaining to see how he managed it.

The ending feels a little rushed, however I like how it has a Bee that comes into the picture frame and flies off, going in the same Direction as Statam. Honestly, I just wished the film kept up the brilliance of the ending. Even if slightly rushed, I wish the characters weren't making as much mind-numbingly dumb decisions. However, the film didn't disappoint. I had low expectations and it actually beat my expectations, unfortunately it just wasn't very good.

So, Would I recommend this film?

Yes, because it's an easy premise meaning it's easy to follow, and it does Entertain. So I give it a 5/10 Solid Film, no more no less.

Ricky Stanicky (2024)

Ricky Stanicky, The guy who wanted to change the world!

Ricky Stanicky has some very good actors, I Like Zac Efron, and he didn't disappoint. And also had John Cena, who I thought was excellent and really delivered. Probably, his best performance. The film wasn't quite up to par with the quality of the performances, it was quite predictable. However, I still found the film to be pretty funny.

Ricky Stanicky is a fake person, made up by 3 guys, 2 who have wifes, and the other who's gay. This becomes a bit of a theme later on, just like the group of friends who say "To Ricky Stanicky, the Guy who doesn't exist". I love how the 3 cause trouble but they blame it on someone else, heck, they even put a house on fire at the start.

The Relationships of the group is always on and off, because the couples eventually caught them out for lying. And that's one of the themes, there's a message here, it's better to tell the truth then to lie, sort of. As the 2 wife's seem to tell them, and this leads to some odd interactions, especially right near the end just before the Credits roll-up, which is quite funny.

Ricky, played by John Cena is the key ingredient to all the guys troubles. And as an actor, he plays the guy of Ricky. On the Sunday for a celebratory party they are having, to mark the 5th anniversary of Ricky's cancer virus, which had gone. And he is usually hated and a drug addict. Singing in restaurants and bars and getting paid little attention. But, he wants to change. And therefore, changes his name to Ricky.

Ricky helped out lots of people, all around the world, and Ricky wanted to actually prove he did it. So he goes and helps those who are in desperate need of help, and who wants some support. He is very honest and very kind to everybody and completely changes his ways, just like my title page suggests. And we see a few snippets of the people he's helped. And managed to create some kind of happiness.

I would say for me personally the film did drag a little threw the middle, but on the whole the pacing of the film is fairly reasonable, for the most part. And does add some good insights on Ricky before he became very popular and changed his ways. It's a very good contrast that this film had. Also the sets were very beutiful throughout the film, very layered and detailed and that definitely added to the story.

Would I recommend this film?,

Yes, but don't watch it if you don't like Vulgar scenes.

Doctor Who: The Family of Blood (2007) Season 3, Episode 9

Doctor Who at it's peak.

Some of the best writing in this entire show. I love the set designs and different photographic shots and imagery, which are perfect and very creative in many ways. I love the story and how it enhances the Doctor to make decisions he doesn't want to do, or simply finds difficult, the episode makes the Doctor think about his decisions. It's a fantastic way to bring out the best of our Doctor. Not to mention, the villain which are fantasticly creepy and disturbing, they ooze the creepiness factor and bring an eerie vibe to them.

I love how the Doctor has to tackle the human element of himself, and balance that out with his girlfriend, that he could potentially marry. But, unfortunately for him he is the protector. The one who's there when they need saving. He's there to help, and it elevates the story with there being 2 sides to the Doctor that adds more drama and raises the tension.

The ability to raise the stakes this highly, is quite impressive for a CBBC limited budget and that's not very good in some cases, but here the attempt and the audacity is impeccable. It's trying to be ambitious, and I applaud that. It's perfect in every consievable way, to the set designs, to the locations, to the action, to the writing and drama, everything is just masterfully created.

I love the scene with the War, it ties in nicely and creates a wonderful arc and Journey to are characters as a whole. And the set design, is wonderfully gorgeous and actually has some fantastic cinematography here. Also what ends the arc nicely is the Family of Blood. Who are all put into a place where they can never return. It's a good way to end the story. And a good way for them to not appear again, being monster of the week type villains. Although, I would love to see them return, as they were fantastic villains.

Would I recommend this Episode?,

Dune: Part Two (2024)

With Power and Prophecy Comes Dune Part 2

A great film that delves deeper into the characters, and more of a study piece here with our Characters. Who are wonderfully portrayed inside this film, I always new how talented the likes of Timothee S and Zendaya were, who arguably had there best performance here [Timothee Chalamet), although haven't seen Wonka.

The futuristic style of the film is wonderful, so gorgeous and astetically pleasing on the eye. The effects are very good inside this film, and it's used effectively with the long range photographic image. So many wide shots which are tremendous, and as said look wonderful.

And the film delves more into the human body and it makes it more interesting. Certainly the power elements with the 'revenge' plot which is a good way to expand the world and are characters, and makes Dune Part 2 great. There's some political aspects here, but for me it didn't drag the film down.

And the length of Dune 2 is perfect. The pacing of this film is also very good, it never feels like it's dragged out at any point in time, I was always entertained and I think it's a captivating sequal that should not be ignored. It's also a perfect world that projects imagery and some great use of colour and effect. Makes it a great fun film to watch, If you liked the first part, I strongly suggest you watch this one. Because it's even better!

Overall Rating:9/10, Would I recommend this film? Absolutely 100% Enjoyed it very much!

FIFA 09 (2008 Video Game)

Revisiting the old Fifas, A review of the past

A very cool Football game, but the newer installments does have you rolling your eyes. And even questioning how it's declined. However, this is not the same for the brilliance of Fifa 09 and many old Fifas.

This game has simple game play, but it doesn't bore you, it doesn't need to be high end definition with glitchy players (primarily the newer fifas) or hard game play that was almost impossible to play. Like running with Stick Legs. But, the games at it's best when it's simple. Because it works so well and you can actually play a fun game without getting so annoyed. The Arena was always quite fun to play before the game. And it's a good way of experiencing what's gonna happen in your game.

I feel like this game is great, and was so much fun to play back in the day, on the X-BOX 360. Creating so many wonderful memories and very Nostalgic at the time. I remember always waking up and desperately waiting, in an eegre Manor to play these video games. It had so much impact on my life and even made me a big fan of the game. I even then started supporting my family team (Spurs) and for my local club. So much good things came out of it.

I rated this one a 6 though just because I found the other fifas that I did play slightly better, and those ones were Fifa 11, Fifa 13, Fifa 14 (twice) and Fifa 17 which is one of my personal favourites. They also have a better score card, this one wasn't particularly great to look at in a visual sense, still a fun game to play though. And I hope they make the games better and improve them later down the line. Everyone on YouTube seems to go back to the old Fifas, so I have decided to share with you some Nostalgia for me! And your sake haha...

Do I recommend this game?

For a re-visit yes, not for another 2 years or so, 6/10, next Review:Dune Part 2.
