Mirrors (I) (2008)

Mirrors is a decent horror movie. If you want to be scared all the way through a movie, then Mirrors is not what you want to see. There were a few parts where people would jump out of their seats but mostly it was a pretty dry movie. Kiefer Sutherland did a good job acting and it basically seemed like a horror episode of 24 during the parts he was in since he always had his trusty pistol with them that he uses as Jack Bauer. The CGI of the film I found to be pretty bad which kinda ruined it for me as I like more realistic things to be done with CGI then what they had in this movie. Overall this movie was OK, not too scary, good acting and not so great CGI but I thought it was worth going to see. If you really like the horror genre go see it, if you only want to see the scariest horror movies to come out, then pass on this one. 7/10

The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior (2008 Video)

Pretty boring, hard to watch

This movie is very bland, action sequences are mediocre at best and the attempts at humor throughout the film usually failed to make me even think about laughing. The storyline is a major problem with it as it brings no excitement to the movie at all and really the plot is pretty stupid. I was unable to watch this movie the whole way through the first time since it was just too boring to continue, but I did finish it during my third viewing of the film. Bad acting, Bad CGI, Badstoryline and really just not a good movie. If you must see this rent it, but the storyline has nothing to do with the first one so really nobody should even be watching this movie. Overall, not the worst movie i've ever watched, but definitely near the bottom 4/10

Death Race (2008)

Great Movie

I went into Death Race with really no idea what to expect from it. I am a big fan of Jason Statham movies but the concept of this movie hadn't really made me too excited to see it. Nevertheless this is a great movie, the humor is spot on throughout the movie, though this is definitely no comedy. The action is fast paced throughout and they come up with some pretty creative ways for characters to get killed. I found the story to obviously be a bit far fetched with it being people racing in a prison and all but never that didn't ruin the movie at all and I ended up loving the storyline. Overall, the acting was great, and it had great effects and a good storyline. I consider this a must watch for those who love action movies. 9/10
