Can be relatable to some. Cute & Fun family movie.
22 May 2024
That was cute. Love the animation style and the quality which reminds me of many other Netflix's Animation Original Movies. A great number of characters and I love the world building aspect of this movie.

For me, Otis was the most likeable due to his few beautiful dialogues with Thelma. But Thelma was undeniably the main character of this movie and can relate to many people as she was feeling insecure despite being so talented.

The storyline and progression itself were cute and very family oriented. The mood setup was bright and very welcoming to watch. Few references to the LGBTQ+ community, which were cute and appreciated.

Great original songs and kudos to the voice casts for their compelling performances. Recommended.

Canon & Great animation quality - Mostly new voice casts
14 May 2024
This is canon. The first part (Two Shots), took place a year before Kurama and Hiei met Yusuke and Kuwabara. Meanwhile, the second part (All or Nothing), takes place after the end of the main series.

Some of the original voice casts didn't return for these shorts. It was noticeable, especially for Yusuke, Hiei, Keiko and Kuwabara's sister.

Overall, amazing animation quality and great improvement in fight choreos. Love the action and thrilling aspect of this short/special episode. Appreciate some of the cameos, even if it's only a few seconds.

Something the long-term fans would appreciate. Recommended.

Non-canon but it was a mess. Horrible pacing and weakest villains of the franchise
14 May 2024
Started strong but ended horribly. Horrible pacing and writing. The weakest villains of the franchise. Huge fan of the main series, but this movie was just awful. Took place around or after season 2 but non-canon.

The animation and audio quality were amazing. Great scores and original song but the mood setup was horrible. Love the voice casts as always (watched it on original japanese audio). This movie ended abruptly without showing the aftermath of the battle. Meanwhile, the action or battle scenes were mediocre. The main series was way better. Horrible power sets and designs on the villains.

The new character was indeed useless and not required for the plot. Wish I could see more of Botan. Skippable and had no revisit value, just watch the main series instead.

Its a special episode (or OVA). Still good tho.
12 May 2024
Its a special episode instead of a movie, took place around season 1 (right before the tournament in season 2). Run time around 25 minutes, plus same intro and ending songs as in the season 1 & season 2 respectively. Usual storyline as in the main series, just doing some saving and fighting demons.

The animation and the sound quality were just same as in the main series. Apart from the new characters, nothing much to discussed on. The villains for this short movie were pretty generic and boring tbh. Great voice casting as always.

Wish there could be more screen time for Hiei and Kurama, but its okay since its only a special episode.

Joyful and heartwarming
9 May 2024
It is one of the best Chibi Maruko Chan movies that I ever watched. This was such a roller coaster of emotions, joyful and heartwarming.

That last scene broke me into tears, I've never seen Maruko be this sad (not even her goodbye with Pusadi could top this). The scores were outstanding, definitely a huge reason why the emotional scenes hit so hard.

Great mood setup and I love the animation style. A huge improvement from the series. I adore the original song during the Lantern Festival & love this newer version of the intro song. The ending scene was cute.

Great performance by all the voice casts - very memorable and have high replayable value. Perfect for family movie time. Highly recommended.

A wonderful movie with unexpected cameo
27 April 2024
The storyline of this movie seems to resemble another movie from the same franchise, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Dinosaur (2006). There is an unexpected cameo of Pisuke that only lasts for a few seconds, but it makes sense.

The scores in the movie are amazing, as always. I love the animation style and the vibrant colors that set the mood for adventure. The original songs were okay, but nothing memorable. The movie introduces a new gadget, which is chocolate to tame wild animals, just like the momotaro peach from the first movie.

The voice castings in the movie are amazing as always. I adore the cute design of the dinosaurs. However, I felt that more focus was put on Kyu compared to Myu, even though both are twins. This seems a bit unfair for the other child, Myu. Overall, I recommend this movie.

Fast & Furious meets Zootopia. Great actions and enjoyable.
20 April 2024
A pretty decent movie with a great amount of action and a fun movie to watch along with your family and friends. Love the animation style - clean & very detail-oriented.

The scores were nice, the original song was great & catchy. The colour palette was nice for me. Some questionable voice castings, like Awkafina for Web - didn't resonate with me with the character.

The storyline was good though it was a bit predictable. But still enjoyable to watch. It reminded me of the Fast & Furious franschise as if it was in Zootopia world, though unlike in Zootopia there are humans in here. Recommended.

Unlike any other superhero TV shows - may not appeal to everyone but great in its own way
14 April 2024
To be honest, I found the first season of the show quite rough. However, things started to get better after the mid-season of the second season. Unlike other superhero team-up shows on CW, I am drawn to this show much more and I am having a lot of fun with it. This show doesn't have to be dark, expensive, and taken too seriously like other superhero shows. It is different and probably for niche audiences like me.

The show has a great line of casts portraying B-tier or lower characters from DC comics. I love the team dynamics among all the characters. The action scenes were good but the executions were a bit cheesy, especially the CGI. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it.

Out of all the seasons, the third season was my favorite. Season 2 and 4 were great, while season 1 was the worst, and the rest were just okay.

This show is definitely not for everyone. It has a very light tone with tons of actions and adventures.

A masterpiece - From 2 decades ago, still relevant and great.
14 April 2024
I used to watch this show on TV when I was young, even though I wasn't familiar with any of the characters because western superheroes weren't popular in my country back then. Recently, I rewatched it and now I appreciate it even more.

I love learning about the origin stories of all the characters, even though it seems like their superpowers were toned down compared to their recent adaptations that I am more familiar with.

The animation style is amazing and I'll always remember the opening scene and score. The voice castings were perfect and the tone was just right - not too serious, but not too cheesy either. It's a show that everyone can enjoy, regardless of age. I particularly enjoyed the action scenes and I hope there will be more seasons in the future. I highly recommend it.

Great Story Arcs, World-Building & Characters (Especially Villains). Tons of actions (Fillers too).
22 March 2024
Been watching it for such a long time (almost 2 decades). Undeniably one of the best manga and anime out there.

Many memorable and likeable characters, voiced by many compelling voice casts. Excellent world-building and characters design. Love the action scenes and power sets. Some unique characters and skills.

Great storyline but the execution was bit annoying (too many fillers!). Adore some fillers but mostly just nuisance tbh. Best line of villains.

Several amazing scores and original songs (both opening and ending songs were terrific). Love the adventure aspects as well as the mysterical lores.

Few (very) emotional moments. Love the characters developments and growth throughout the year, though some of the characters (especially female characters) were downgraded and didnt get enough screen time.

Overall, a good option to watch for action-adventure lovers. Highly recommended.

Ushio & Tora (2015–2016)
7/10
A great watch but rushed way too much. Almost similar to Inuyasha & Naruto.
18 March 2024
It was a good watch although it was rushed nearly half of the series. Generic main character (Ushio) - A crybaby high school student with many female interests. The dynamic between Tora and Ushio reminded me of Naruto with Kurama.

A huge fan of yokai or monster hunting. This was good as it is full of yokai that I'm mostly familiar with and packed with actions and adventures.

The animation style was okay, great performances by the voice actors. The opening song reminded me of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

The second half of this series was extremely rushed. Everything moves forward with little to no time to get into the storyline. Maybe it was cancelled for more seasons. Not a fan of the character's progression.

The world-building was awful but I did enjoy the fighting. Tbh, this reminded me too much of Inuyasha.

Ngl, the sad moments hit hard, mostly thanks to the amazing instrumentals and compelling voice castings. Some unexpected twists that caught me off guard. Few horrifying scenes. Recommended.

Just too much & not too serious. Cheap production. The worst of the three.
9 March 2024
Just started to get into this franchise and was hoping for the best story progression, but it didn't pique my interest to keep watching anything else after this horrible movie. It's the same case as in Insidious & other Hollywood horrors.

The second movie was the best and this would be the worst. Just like its previous movies, the first act was always the strongest and afterward, the storyline execution gets weaker and cringey. The third act was always horrible, as if the movie changed into a superhero movie.

The acting performance was just meh. The action scenes were unnecessary. Horrible CGI as always. The original song and scores were cheap. Make up department was okay but the movie set was just plain simple. Incoming twists were highly predictable. Few things that dont make sense.

So many problems for a movie. Not recommended.

Great "Soft-reboot Prequel" - A Decent show
5 March 2024
Im not a huge fan of the classic Scooby Doo cartoons but over the years I do enjoy some of their movies. The animation style was okay but the storyline on this project was really good, as it was a soft-rebooted prequel.

Love the voice castings, almost reminiscent of the original voice casts (Maybe it was them! Sounds very same). Great addition of many new characters. The mystery elements were not that great, just as its predecessors, but still watchable. Few returning classic Hanna-Barbera's characters.

There are few filler episodes, totally skippable except at the beginning or the ending where they show the progress of the main plot. Something for the fans of the franchise and may be able to draw in some new fan. The intro/outro was pretty decent. Recommended.

One Piece (2023– )

For the fans for sure. Few flaws but manageable. Hoping for season 2.
12 February 2024
Made especially for the OP fans, and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite having a few flaws and changes compared to its anime counterparts.

Ngl the casts were just meh at first especially Luffy but after a while, I came to like them and appreciate them more. Making a live-action out of a beloved long-run anime series is not an easy task, so kudos to the production team. But still, most of these new casts can't act well as it's not compelling enough. Most of the jokes didn't land well.

The first scene where Gol D. Roger announces his hidden treasure (OP) was very underwhelming. Gave me zero chills. Wonky CGI but some of the scenes were so beautiful. Terrific sound and audio quality. Love the original scores.

The make-up department was just okay, some characters seem to be cosplay-ish and don't blend well with the series. But it's not a big issue for me. Tbh, I don't like the blue filter they put on the entire season. As if I was watching a CW show - it seems cheap.

Some of the dubs were awful. The Japanese dub was great but not the best, despite being dubbed by the original OP casts from the anime - their voices just didn't go well with the actors for me. So I just watched it on the English version.

The fighting choreographies were really. Few minor changes in the storyline but the main plot remains the same. Some characters like Nami and Luffy were portrayed as older than in the anime. Maybe due to a few aspects that might not go well with today's audiences.

I loved it as a huge fan of the anime & manga, hence I get most of the references despite being cheesy and having bad CGI moments. I don't think most general audiences won't get it.

Hopeful for season 2, make sure they get my chopper bro right. Recommended.

A decent watch. Not for undereage
6 February 2024
Its was okay. Great concept and beautiful animation. Love the scores and music selection. Depressing (in a good way) main character and voice castings, fit perfectly with mood setup and characterisation of the characters.

Abrupted ending on season 1. Hopefully will be renewed for more episodes. Really want to know the story behind the director, the planet and etc. Some episodes on this season were totally innecessary as it doesnt add up anything to the plot. Most likely filler episodes.

Carol was somewhat relatable. Adore some of the side characters. Great representation of LGBTQ+ community as well as POC. Few nude and violence scenes, which not children friendly. Recommended.

Everything about this movie is just bad & cheap
19 January 2024
Huge fan of the franchise but this movie specifically did not bring justice to all the previous movies. Horrible jump scares and bad writing.

The casts were okay, with few unnecessary new castings. Few cute cameos which I appreciate but can't deny how horrible the movie was. Mediocre scores and original soundtrack.

The CGI was okay and the tone setup was great as usual. Horrible pacing and with predictable storyline. Some of the lines were just cheesy. To be honest, I don't have a lot of things to talk about this, just horrible. This seems to be a very cheap and rushed movie.

Not recommended, definitely not for children.

Entertaining despite having few issues mainly in the pacing and weak writtings. Action scenes were great but weak villains and lack focus.
3 January 2024
Clean animation but too much forced humour. The pacing was a bit off and felt rushed since the beginning. Some questionable voice casting that doesn't match their respective characters. Simple character designs (nothing memorable).

The world-building was just mediocre. Weak villain, and terrible writing on certain characters. Character progression was good (few turned horrible), but the plot was constantly being changed and lack of focus. Zakron reminds me of Thanos.

Despite being familiar with this franchise the transporting sequences remind me of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go as well as Ryukendo. Meanwhile, the robots remind me of Zoids and a bit of Power Ranger. Doesn't feel like watching something original. Even in the last season, Honerva reminds me of Wanda & the plot was almost similar to Dr Strange movie 2. Not sure who copied whom.

Mediocre plot. Not sure of their targeted audience as it seems to be the adults but the writing was just weak. The castle being the spaceship was pretty weird and illogical.

Not a bore, just weird and off-putting. Few lgbtq bait but recommended.

Very reminiscent of the troll Hunter and has great voice castings
9 December 2023
The world building was amazing. Reminds me of the American Dragon and the protagonist resembles Miles Morales. The animation quality and style reminds me of the Trollhunter series.

Great voice castings and the plotting reminds me of the Huntik series. Great number of representation of POC. Suitable for both younger and older audiences.

Season 1 was almost perfect to me. Great characterisation of the main characters, great action scenes and love the sense of adventure and treasure hunting aspects of the series. Great voice castings - very compelling and matched their respectives characters.

Season 2 was a huge let down, all the new characters were just annoying, the writings were all over the place and messy.

Questionable animation and original songs but eventually grew on me. Just ignore all the unreasonable critical/hate reviews
9 December 2023
Tbh, I do not get the amount of hate for this movie. It's a pretty decent movie, actually better than a few other Disney animation movies released this past few years.

The animation style was bad at first (especially the transition and the fast pacing of the storyline made it weird) but eventually fine with it as progressed. The original songs are not instant hits but grew on me the more I tuned into them.

Both King Magnifico & Asha were great and compelling characters. Love Magnifico but he's not a good representation of a great villain for me. Lacks motivation and focus. Asha was relatable and very reminiscent of the Rapunzel. Meanwhile, the side characters were just meh, unnecessary for the plotting.

The scripts/writings were indeed bad but not as severe as portrayed by others. The world-building was amazing. The mascots were cute but won't be memorable in a long time. Full of unnecessary easter eggs/references. The scores were amazing.

Great movie for streaming and great voice castings. Perfect for children and young audiences. Recommended.

Can be relatable to many. Highly emotional, though slow progression. Perfect Ending!
15 November 2023
Was conflicted to watch another closeted gay movie, as there are just too many with sad endings but im glad that i watched this.

This is just an emotional roller coaster that might relate to most people regardless of their sexuality and gender identity. Love the ending.

Perfect castings, each and every one of them played their role well and matched perfectly with their respective characters. The storyline was great although the progression was a bit slow for me. The scores were alright.

The chemistry between the two main characters were perfect. Tbh Pierto reminded me of Henry Cavill meanwhile Enea reminds me of a Disney's actor (Cant recall their name).

Ngl at first i was shipping Pierto and Enea but Antonio was such a nice guy & Guila was an amazing wife. In the end, i couldn't decide but i feel it was more appropriate for Enea stick with Antonio. Pierto with Guilla. They should move on and let past stays in the past.

Highly recommended (though not for younger audiences due to nudity). High revisit value and please stick with the original audio.

Samurai Jack meets Mulan. This is Good!
13 November 2023
Some scenes were gruesome but secretly I loved it. The plotting and the animation style as well as the mood setup resembles Samurai Jack meanwhile the protagonist and her portrayal reminded me of Mulan.

Love the animation quality and the storyline progression was terrific. To be honest, the plot was basic (just a generic revenge storyline as in Samurai Jack but under different circumstances).

Despite being unoriginal the scores fit perfectly with the progression as well as the mood setup. Something for people who love dark and action-packed animation. Full of gruesome graphics and adulteries.

The voice castings were interesting. At first, they were questionably awful but they grew on me as the story progressed. Something that I would rewatch again. When the sad parts came, it hit so hard. A Very well-written and extremely likeable protagonist.

Highly recommended for adults (Totally not for younger audiences due to the amount of violence and nudity)

I can see why many animes were inspired by this great anime
9 November 2023
A classic run that probably inspired many other mangakas or anime creators, especially Bleach and Naruto. Some characters' designs, personalities and writings almost resemble characters from Naruto. Meanwhile, the storyline heavily reminded me of the bleach. Season 3 of this anime, reminded me of Bleach's season 16 (the lost agent arc) as well as seasons 4&5 (Bount arc). The power of friendship and emotions also reminded me of One Piece and Fairy Tail.

Love the animation style. Great storyline but the progression was a bit boring sometimes. The mood setup was not strong enough for me to keep binge-watching the entire series, unlike HxH. The voice talents were awesome, perfectly matched with their respective characterisation. Apparently, the creator used the same formula as in HxH.

The world-building itself almost reminded me of the Dragon Ballz Franchise, maybe due to the appealing factor of such aesthetics to many people back then. Great opening song that is very memorable (1 opening throughout the whole anime run). The ending songs were bops, totally terrific if you're into classic songs.

Full of actions and adventure. Bit of mystery but great character development.

Season 1 was a slow burner. Season 2 was the peak with many interesting characters and moments. Season 3 slows down a bit and the mood setup became darker and uninteresting at some point but with the introduction of several amazing villains. Season 4 was fine but was a huge letdown as it was extremely rushed and cut short. Overall a good watch, not ideal for binge watch at least to me. Recommended.

Fate: The Winx Saga (2021–2022)

Love certain aspects of it but mostly were just awful. Too much drama & unnecessary romance sections.
5 November 2023
It was giving me the CW shows vibe, dark and full with romance nonsenses. Not a big fan of any of the romantic relationships except (Aisha & Grey) - The rest felt so fake and not needed.

The CGI could be better but understandable due to their lower budget. Some of the actings were off-putting. Both Grey & Flora were great addition to this series. Still cant resonate with Bloom and Sky. Beatrix, Riven and Musa were fine. Terra gotten more annoying on season 2 and was very hard to sit through. Dane and few others were just okay.

The music choices were okay and sound effects were awful. Writting couldve been better, but its alright. Not a fan of the sceneries and the tone setup was just like every teenage romance series. Im not surprised it was cancelled after season 2.

Not bad - Bad actings & executions, But great quality in terms of sound & graphic
1 November 2023
Love the dark aesthetic of these compilations of several short stories, some were amazing and some were just meh. 8 short stories of 8 episodes, mostly with undesirable endings but i dont mind it at all.

The castings were pretty okay although most of them cant act - only few compelling actings. Or maybe just characters potrayal / writtings. Love the scores and audio effects, set up a great dark & gritty watching experience.

The CGI / graphics were terrific. Some scenes were horrific to watch. Something for people that enjoys mild gores and horrors. A perfect movie for halloween watch-alongs. Few naked scenes so totally not for underage audiences.
