John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
Does the gun lobby sponsor this film?
Horrible ! 90% of the film is shooting and killing. If I wanted to, I would play a shooting video game. Where was the film for God's sake if we take out the shooting and killing scenes.
No, "look for the truth and bear the consequences" and "those who cling to death don't die" type cliche words don't do it for me. I will not be surprised if this movie is sponsored by the gun lobby. Shame on you whoever participated in producing this.monstrosity.
Keanu, of all the people I did not expect this from you. Frankly I was relying mostly on your name when I decided to buy a ticket. How can you go this low?
Dune (2021)
Love this film, many archetypes interwoven brilliantly
I don't understand the reviews that find the film ''emotionally empty''?
The major archetypes of the human being are interwoven brilliantly. The film should be interpreted from a symbolic point of view. Mythology helps. Especially the mythology of constellations.
Gemini Man (2019)
an allegory of narcissism
I like the movie.
I don't know what happened in 2019 but there were two movies one after the other about narcissism.
One is the Gemini Man and the other is Ad Astra.
Because I could read the theme and allegory of every scene -this is what happens if you suddenly realize you are circled in a toxic environment and devour articles on narcisism at a certain time in your life- I loved it.
So in a way, this movie was a shoulder I could cry on.
I especially like the story of the woman (the skeletons in the cave) and the sudden disappereance of the ego once it is identified.
Bergen (2022)
this story needed to be told...
This story needed to be told, thanks for telling it. The movie theater is full even in a pandemic.
To my taste, it is a bit 'too trying' to be dramatic however definitely deserves a spot on the 'to watch' category.

You can only survive if you tell your story
Wow , this film seems to be under an attack. Look at the group of people who have gathered and decided to give it a 1. Seriously, this film is good... and such attacks are what happens when the world lets human rights to be politicized & militants rate movies.
Well forgetting about politics, this is how the film is: What makes one to flee their country? How is it possible to reach such a decision? The story of re-creating one's life, and the horrors of the Syrian region told in an engaging ( if we can say that about war) and pulsing story. It definitely comes down to judging you own values and beliefs and the film does that brilliantly... slowly we see the heroes build and test their value system even if they were not fully aware before.
The film has awards from Cinemed Montpelliere Film Festival in France, Sedona International Film Festival in the US and New York Independent Cinema Awards, US.
