Where the Wild Things Are (2009)
Sweet and sad
Its beatiful. The sountrack is one of my favourites ❤the monsters, their voices and animation makes you feel like hugging them ❤ the beautiful lights and landscapes ❤ Its all about the infinite sadness that appears after the discovery of death in childhood and how love is the only posible palliative.
Zama (2017)
Best argentinean director
Lucrecia Martel is great in making a great movie out of a great novel. Giménez Cacho is so deeply suffering. It reminds me the movie Aguirre and how the atmosphere turns more and more confusing, almost sychedelic. The close suffocating, hot and wet shots. The sountrack great as usually is in Martel's movies. I also love the ending with the Vicuña Porto's plot and the scenario change and that fascinating scene in Pilcomayo park. "Hago lo que nunca nadie hizo por mí: digo no a sus esperanzas" 💓
Ammonite (2020)
Kate Winslet's best performance
Love this movie. Its good to know that there are still some room for author 's cinema. Winslet is so good. Those little gestures she makes. So convincing how her face iluminates when she smiles to Saoirse. I like the dry style of the director, the non dialogue choice.
The World to Come (2020)
Good acting, touching story
Highlights: great performances, hearthbreaking ending and great soundtrack (that last song!)
If you only like marvel movies please dont watch and critize this kind of film.
