The A List (2018–2021)
6/10
Put your self on the tween / early teen years....it's a good one to watch
2 September 2019
It was one of those night where I was looking to what to watch with my kids, 11 and 7 yrs old, so I gave this a shot. Now, on my flim snob eyes, it's nothing to brag about ...all the holes and cliche , yes there are many, but if I can put my mind into my younger years, I think it's a good one to watch, it has a mix of that twilight zone's Mysteries nd a touch of horror, in fact ir gave me a pretty cool ride. we watch 5 episodes straight. I really like looking at the kids watching it withn suspense. As a horror fan myself, This is another chance for them to appreciate the genre....So, again , putting myself in their eyes, i give it 6 /10

Over stylized ? why don't you be the judge
5 September 2016
I love Giallo stuff and when there's a movie that pays tribute or respect to the genre, I'd give it a go. So with this one, seeing a really cool cover of the DVD and being French and all, hey off course :) I like the idea of a missing lover story and I really like the stylized detailed, closed up shots and sounds of many of the scenes. BUT I find it a bit much. I feel that with Giallo, being psychedelic doesn't mean, psychedelic shots of every scenes, this movie has an amazing / best art nouveau back drop that it self already gives a certain persona. I find my self looking the other way just every now and then to rest my eyes also press the ff button just because my brain is telling me " yes I got it, got the idea...next ". However I still recommend it to you, because it has a very good story and all this stuff I'm writing about is worth to look at. But for me.....a bit over done

John Wick (2014)

A Great B movie on a mainstream market
1 March 2015
Aahhh, it took me a while to watch this movie, because it looks like just another bad action flick, the poster is not helping either. I love films, from foreign, docs, festival to the Hollywood blockbusters of all genres. I hunt for certain directors, and I do love intellectual films or some might call them art flicks. But the genre that I do miss is the action trash ( grind house films ) In the glory days of VHS, many films were released only for the VHS market. Many of those are the simple, dirty action films, some are bad and some are so bad it's great. Well..John Wick reminds me of that. No BS, revenge films. If you are aware of the Charles Bronson's Death wish, John wick has a similar idea. Recently I am very happy with what Liam Neeson does ( Taken 1,2 and A walk among tombstone )John wick has similar feel . Don't expect Cannes films or look for holes, this is, like I said a B movie on a mainstream market. Great ride, shoot'em up midnight snack ( only if those seedy cinemas still around )

Sea Beast (2008 TV Movie)

Enjoy the ride .....
12 September 2009
For those who are looking for Jamie Foxx doing huge stunts with mega explosion, This is not the movie for you... But for those who enjoy some low budget horror movies, this mix of predator/ jaws & aliens low budget flick is a fun one. When you see the cover of this DVD, you know exactly what you're in for. I rented this last night because I thought it was time to check out a monster movie :D I was surprise, I admit there are many bad straight to DVD horror & Sci - fi movies out there I was impress with this movie Personally, I think the creatures look a lot better than I am Legend, and the movie is way better than the 1998 Godzilla. So if you enjoys flicks like Tremors, The Mist or even Frankenfish, give Sea Beast a try

Watchable action scenes, but the rest ???
16 February 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I love revenge films, some of my friends did warn me about this one, but I gave it a try anyways. So, yes if you like mindless action movie, this might be for you, but I believe that, even a mindless movie needs a bit of attention to details so that it doesn't fall off. Death sentence started good, James Wan built the sentimental story around the family well, but then, once the problems started and the " revenge " action begun, it felt that he forgot about the family story. The movie became " Kevin Bacon Vs the thugs " forget the family. If the gang find you at your work, and actually shooting at you on the street won't you tell your family to stay away from home ? but No, so guess what happen next ?? this is just one example of the many holes in the movie. Bravo for the actors on their performance, but if you want to watch a recent revenge movie watch Neil Jordan's The Brave One instead.

The Invisible (2007)

1 hour and a half of bad Nickleback music videos, For under 14 !
17 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I love movies about ghosts or any spirit topic films. That's why I rented. I should have spent that $4.00 for another DVD. This review is not for Justin Chawtin. He's actually not bad.I am not going to write what this movie is about, because you can read up about it. I am going to write what makes this bad. So, here it is... Other than an obviously bad script, we have an unbelievable performance by Margarita Leveiva as the main bad girl, from the first 10 seconds of her performance, you can see, there's no way she's a tough girl( maybe the mall hang out type of tough girl )Then you have parts of the film where you really don't know where it's going. actually i was going to write more about how bad it is but have decided that i can not be bothered, in other words it is absolute rubbish.Like a said , looks like a very long and cheesy Nickleback music video

Vacancy (2007)
8/10
A couple checked in to a motel, will they check out ?
21 April 2007
Vacancy is a shot of thriller mix with a shot of horror served straight up,no ice, in room temperature. A great great movie for this type of genre OBVIOUSLY not for everyone, but if you are a fan and feel a little down about many other so called horror, thriller movies that are simply S*@T, movies that are relying on fancy special effects or remakes of other films from the past or different country LATELY, well, this would be the one movie you won't feel crappy paying full price for.

Luke Wilson and Kate Beckensale ( perfect cast ) play a couple who check into a motel after a long drive, the rest is an intense ride That will glue you eyes to the screen.I see the movie as a tribute to the 70's thriller/horror/action ( home invasion, psychotic killer type of films )You can see this right from the opening credits. There are moments where Vacancy could go bad and disappointing ( I was actually waiting for it )but it did not ( a bit on the ending being cliché, but I was OK to give it a pass ).WELL DIRECTED, WELL CAST, AND WELL SHOT.
