True Detective: Night Country: Part 6 (2024)
Season 4, Episode 6

Amazing new season!
2 April 2024
I love True Detective and when I heard that we would get a new season after so many years, I got really excited. After watching the trailer I got even more so and the six episodes didn't disappoint me once. True Detective- Night Country had brilliant cast, great writer, great storyline, great director, perfect soundtrack/score, fantastic cinematography, and they had picked great locations to film it, that added to the dark and mythical spooky tone of the series.

Jodie Foster as Detective Liz Danvers and Kali Reis as Evangeline Navarro are so brilliant and believable in portraying their characters. Their scenes together were among my favorite ones this season. Aka Niviâna, Angunnguaq Larsen and Nivi Pedersen played their parts very well and it was nice to see several Greenlandic/Indigenous actors being cast. I also loved Fiona Shaw's Rose Aguineau, Finn Bennett's Officer Peter Prior and Isabella Star LaBlanc's Leah Danvers very much. It was interesting to follow the story in every episode and I really like that we got glimpses from the past mixed with what was happening in present day. I truly enjoyed the supernatural/mythical parts of this season and the darkness that added another layer to the suspense while watching.

I really loved this season and didn't want it to end, that's how good I think it is! Hopefully you will feel the same while watching this incredibly well-made season. I enjoyed guessing what had happened and later finding out how close or far away those guesses were.

Everyone involved in the making of this amazing season should be so proud! I knew a few of the actors from before but it was also nice to get acquainted with a few new ones as well. This is definitely one of my favorite seasons of the entire series!

Hilarious Danish Comedy series
27 March 2024
I first heard about this Danish comedy series in late 2022/early 2023 I think. Read a few articles and found out that one of my favorite actors Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and his wife Nukâka would be in one of the episodes.

After watching the trailer, I really wanted to see it but sadly Swedish TV didn't buy the series, so I had to wait until it was released on dvd. Last Friday I finally got my 'Agent' dvd in the mail and I watched the entire series during the weekend and it was so GOOD!!! Brilliant written, perfectly casted, and fantastic directed. Everyone involved in the making of this amazing series should be so proud. If you get a chance to watch it, do so ASAP!!!

NCW & Nukâka's scene in the first episode is so funny! They honestly need to do more comedy. I'm very thankful that Nikolaj Lie Kaas came up with this story and gave us this comedian gem. Just thinking about the scene makes me laugh!

Even if my main reason for wanting to watch the series were NCW and Nukâka, I really enjoyed every episode and it did not disappoint me once! Poor Joe, played amazingly by Esben Smed finds himself in various situations because he desperately needs to fix the mess, he's mostly created himself. I absolutely loved Selma Sol í Dale Papi as Joe's daughter Talulah in every scene she's in! It was also so much fun watching all of the Danish celebs play themselves in situations I never would have thought they be part of.

This series is hilarious but also have a more serious tone in it as well. I didn't want it to end, that's how good I think it is. That ending hopefully means we're getting a season 2 of this well-made Danish comedy series. I definitely would like to see more of it!

I hope you'll give this series a chance because I think you'd love it as much as I do. If you're an non-Scandinavian, you might not know who all of the Danish celebs are but it could be a nice opportunity to get some new favorites.

Totally worth the long wait for the sequel!
18 March 2024
I loved the first film and when I heard that a sequel was in the making I got very excited. The excitement only grew when it was announced that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kim Bodnia and Ulf Pilgaard would return as Martin, Jens and Wörmer. After watching the trailer I looked forward to see what the new characters would bring to the story. The film did not disappoint me once. Brilliant cast, great writer, great storyline, great director, amazing soundtrack, amazing makeup team, fantastic cinematography, and they had picked great locations to film it, that added to the dark and twisted tone of the film.

Fanny Bornedal was amazing as Emma, the daughter of Martin and Kalinka. I especially loved her scenes together with Nikolaj, Kim, Sonja, and Ulf. Casper Kjaer Jensen's performance as Bent is absolutely fantastic, Sonja Richter plays Gunver perfectly and I love Nina Rask's Maria so much. It was wonderful to see Ulf play the creepy Wörmer once again, just as it was seeing Kim back as Jens. Nikolaj brought his A game playing the broken Martin, his performance was very believable in every way. His acting with only facial expressions and body language is one of the best that you'll ever see, that's how good they are!

I really liked the little subtle nods to the first film, it made me a little nostalgic but overall I think they fitted well into this new story being told. Just like in the first film, I really liked the twist and turns of it, that you thought you knew who the killer was and then something happened that made you question it and begin to suspect someone else. I know some don't like the scene where Jens and Martin sneak into a football stadium but I liked it, for me it showed two old friends having a good time together after not seeing each other for a very long time. The scenes in the psychiatric wards corridors were not as claustrophobic as in the first film but they still added to the suspense feeling.

I thought the ending was believable and fitted the story told well. Also liked that the final scene was some time after the events had taken place, just as in the first film, so we got to leave some of the characters in a little better place than they had previous been this time as well.

The very long wait for a sequel was totally worth it in my opinion and I hope if you ever get a chance to watch this film that you'll love it as much as I do! I watched it on dvd and with Danish subs, just like with the first film.

A must see Danish horror cult classic!
17 March 2024
This film is a must see for anyone who loves horror, thriller, or suspense films. It's from 1994 but is still such a great watch. Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's breakthrough role back home in Denmark and he's absolutely amazing in it!

I looked everywhere for this film & in 2021 I finally could buy a DVD. It only had Danish subs so some things in the dialogue wasn't easy to understand but overall the film did not disappoint me once. 'Nattevagten' has a brilliant cast, great storyline, great writer, great director, amazing makeup team, amazing soundtrack, fantastic cinematography, and they had picked really great locations to film it, that only added more to the dark and twisted tone of the film.

Besides NCW's performance as Martin, I really loved the way Kim Bodnia played the best friend Jens, Ulf Pilgaard's creepy police inspector Wörmer and Sofie Gråbøl as Martin's girlfriend Kalinka. In my opinion every role in this film was perfectly casted.

I really liked the twist and turns of it, that you thought you knew who the killer was and then something happened that made you question it and begin to suspect someone else. The scenes in the hospital morgue were really claustrophobic, which added to the suspense feeling that anything could happen at any time.

The ending was good and the way we got there I thought was believable. I liked that the final scene was some time after the events had taken place, so we got to leave some of the characters in a little better place than they had previous been.

If you ever get a chance to see this film, I hope you'll love it as much as I do!

Incredible docu series!
16 March 2024
I first heard about this docu series when one of my favorite actors, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau & his production company, III Kippers posted about it on IG when they began filming for it in January 2023. Later I read a few articles & really liked what it was to be about.

If I was excited to watch it before, I got even more so after watching the trailer in December 2023. After the first episode aired on February 8 (9th for me here in Sweden) I thought it was a really great series, where you got to meet interesting people & hear about various solutions from different parts of the world. I think it was a very good idea to choose those different themes that each episode was about. As the series continued, I think it just got better & better. I really appreciated that you didn't have to subscribe to a new streaming site, that it was free & available at many different platforms.

I think a series like this is just what we need at the moment, when most of the time you only hear negative stuff. We need to be reminded that there are many people in the world, that have found solutions that works or are working on creating new ones. Hopefully more people can get inspired after watching it.

It is truly a love letter to our beautiful planet with the amazing cinematography we got each episode & it's also very educational. Some things I already heard about, while others were completely new to me. I totally fell in love with several of the wonderful people that NCW met & was also in awe of so many of them & the fantastic work they're doing every day. Really looked forward to watching a new episode every week & I never wanted it to end, that's how good I think it is!

I work with kids & recommend to others who also do that, to show parts of the episodes for them, depending of course on what age they are. For me it's been short & educational moments every week.

Hats off to everyone that has been involved in the making of this incredible & very important docu series, they should all be so proud of their work. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is perfect as a host with his passion & curiosity, that's very infectious & it makes each episode compelling to watch. I'm hoping we'll get another brilliant season of this docu series as well.

I had very high expectations for it & I never once got disappointed while watching, I hope it will be the same for you!

Great book has become amazing film
11 November 2023
I first heard of the book the film is based on in 2021 after I found out that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, one of my favorite actors had been casted to play Bob Hightower. After I had finished reading it, I knew that I really wanted to see the adaptation since I thought the book was great but at the same time harrowing.

Never would I have imagined that it would take two years for the film to be released and many times I thought I would never get to see it. When the trailer finally came it made me even more excited to watch it! The film did not disappoint me once. Brilliant cast, amazing makeup team, great writer, great storyline, great director, amazing soundtrack, fantastic cinematography and they had picked great locations to film it, that added to the dark and violent tone of the film.

I must admit that I didn't know who Maika Monroe was before, but she played Case Hardin brilliantly and her on screen chemistry with Nikolaj was superb. Jonathan Tucker was fantastic as Errol Grey and he even made me laugh a few times. Karl Glusman and Gina Cassavetes were also two unknown names for me before this film and they also did brilliant work with their characters Cyrus and Lena. I had known that Nikolaj would play Bob amazingly and he didn't disappoint me. He's such a versatile actor and always brings his A game to whatever character he plays! Another character I really liked in this film was 'The Ferryman' played brilliantly by Jamie Foxx in the few scenes he had.

It was also amazing to see these characters that I had pictured in my head while reading the book come to life on screen. Since it was over two years since I read the book it was like experiencing everything for the very first time once again.

I really liked this film and think that Nick Cassavetes have done a very good and close adaptation of Boston Teran's book. I can understand that the book and film is not for everyone since its very dark and authentic with its violence. Honestly, I don't think the violence is glorified or too much or even misogynistic as I have seen many reviewers say. It's much needed to portray what's going on in this kind of environment and how it's used to break people, both physically and mentally but also to send messages of warning to others.

For me it was Bob and Case's journey, that was most important in the film. What they had to do or had done previous to get to the end of this personal hell in order to rescue Bob's teenage daughter Gabi & how they all come out on the other side, forever haunted but together they can look to the future with hope. 'God is a bullet' is an amazing film, that's very dark and harrowing but also hopeful and shows trauma and how it changes us. I really hope you will give it a chance because I think it can surprise you and honestly the ratings are way too low for this well-made film!

Brilliant Danish youth series
10 November 2023
I have to admit that the only reason I decided to watch this Danish youth series in the first place was because Filippa & Safina Coster-Waldau were cast in it.

From the very beginning until the end I thought it was a well written & authentic story about being young today. Everyone being casted impressed me throughout the two seasons.

You could feel that the cast had fun filming the series & that the sex scenes had been made with the help of an intimacy coordinator. I honestly liked that the focus was more on the characters & how they felt & not on nudity.

If there ever would be a third season of this youth series, I gladly watch that too!

I loved the book & I loved the series!
20 May 2023
I read the book the series is based on last year, when I learned that one of my favorite actors Nikolaj Coster-Waldau had been casted as Owen & would play against the amazing Jennifer Garner.

Loved the book & was very excited to see how the series would turn out. Watching the trailer made me even more excited to watch it! The series did not disapoint me once. Great cast, great writers, great storyline, great directors & lovely locations.

Jennifer Garner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau & Angourie Rice were perfectly casted to play Hannah, Owen & Bailey. They did fantastic work with their characters & I could from the very beginning feel the connection between Hannah & Owen, you really felt that they loved & cared deeply for eachother. I also felt the same about the father/daughter relationship. The stepmother/stepdaughter relationship was very believable as well.

It was also so amazing to see these characters that I had fallen in love with while reading the book come to life on screen. Since I had read the book, I wasn't surprised with what happened in each episode but I truly enjoyed watching them.

I really liked that the episodes weren't that long & that we had to wait for them to air, which made the series last longer. Truly enjoyed getting more backstories to Hannah, Owen & Bailey's past. The flashback scenes were great & the vfx team did amazing work making a "younger version" of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

I had looked forward to watching the Austin episodes & especially the bar scene & what happened after that. They did not disapoint me. It was lovely to see Jennifer reunite with Victor Garber in one of the episodes & as always he was brilliant in his tiny part.

The small changes the writers hade made from the book just made things so much better. The last episode was so good & I really loved the very last scene, it made me very emotional for several hours. To see & hear Nikolaj say THAT line from the book & Jennifer's + his acting in that scene was perfection, even if it broke my heart all over again but it was totally worth it!

I'm hoping that we will get a season 2, from Owen's perspective this time because I really want to see Jennifer, Nikolaj & Angourie togheter again.

This might not be for everyone but I'm certain that if you give it a go, you'll love it just as much as I do!

Awesome & totally worth the wait!
26 November 2022
I've been so excited to see this series & it didn't disapoint me at all!

Jenna Ortega was born to play Wednesday Addams & I really enjoyed watching her play this iconic character, that is loved by so many.

This series is so funny, entertaining, well casted & totally awesome from the very beginning until the end. It's a nice addition to the Addam Family's legacy 🖤

It was truly a delight to watch the amazing Gwendoline Christie play Larissa Weems. Her scenes with Wednesday were my absolute favorite. I love them & they both got my whole heart after their magical performances.

When I heard that Christina Ricci had been added to the cast, I was so happy & her performance as Marilyn Thornhill were pure brilliance.

Other favorites of mine from this series are Enid, Thing, Eugene, Bianca, Xavier, Tyler, Yoko & Ajax. I really hope we'll get a season 2, so we can see more of these wonderful characters.

This might not be to everyone's liking but I really enjoyed watching it & totally recommend you to give it a try!

I loved it!
15 October 2022
As a fan of The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings trilogy I had very high expectations for the series & I wasn't disappointed once!

I know that some viewers have been disappointed but I really loved this series. It was so wonderful to be transported back to a world I've come to love so much & also make new acquaintances a long the way.

Amazing cinematography in every episode & I really liked the little subtle clues to who Sauron was. It was also nice to view characters you've met before with new eyes & get backstories for them as well.

I really liked the Hobbits & their storyline as well as the dwarfs & eleves. The ending made me very excited for season two!

Fantastic adaptation
15 October 2022
When I first heard about this being adapted to the big screen I knew nothing about The Sandman but decided to watch it since one of my favorite actors Gwendoline Christie was in it & because I love Neil Gaiman's other works.

I gave in to my curiosity & read the graphic novels, which I really enjoyed & they made me more excited to see it on the big screen.

It did not disapoint me at all when I finally got to watch it, it's such a fantastic adaptation of the first graphic novels. Brilliantly written, perfect casted & excellent directed. I truly enjoyed every performance & every episode of this series!

It was amazing to see the graphic novels come to life on the big screen, be transported to various locations & enjoy all of the storylines being told once again.

All I want now is for The Sandman to finally be renewed for a second season by Netflix!!!!

Crazy bizarre but worth the long wait
15 October 2022
I waited a really long time to watch this film & it was totally worth the long wait! It might not be to everyone's liking but I think you should have an open mind & give it a go!

I really enjoyed watching Flux Gourmet & I absolutely loved Gwendoline Christie's portrayal of Jan Stevens. She was just perfect for this role & the rest of the cast did excellent work with their characters too.

The story is very unusual & not something that you expect to find in a film but they make it work really well.

The film was just as crazy bizarre as I expected & it will now togheter with In Fabric be my favorite film by Peter Strickland.

"It's like a movie for your ears"
28 May 2022
This III Kippers production has your attention from the very beginning until the end. It's so amazing & addictive, you can easily listen to all ten episodes in one day. I love how it makes you think you know who the killer is & then gives you a little twist to make you question that.

Amazingly written by Joe Derrick & brilliantly casted. The audio effects by benbrick are just perfect & so is the soundtrack. Do listen with headphones to get the best possible experience! It's also totally worth a relisten to see if there where any clues/easter eggs you missed the first time around.

You can really tell how much time & love that went into the making of this amazing podcast. I hope we will get more productions like it from III Kippers in the future.

Amazing film
6 March 2022
This film was worth the long wait with it's beautiful cinematography, great cast & story. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau & Joe Cole's performances as Ejnar Mikkelsen & Iver Iversen was fantastic.

I have read the book the film is based on, so my expectations were very high & it did not disapoint me once.

There are some scenes that are more difficult to watch but I felt they were true to the conditions of those days (the events take place in 1909-1912) I loved this film from the beginning until the end & the way the story of these two very different men (who became lifelong friends) were told.
