Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)

WOW!

This film is so intense. You're on the edge of your seat the entire time!

Great characters! Both old and new.

A great scary villain.

There is minimal CGI, which is even more nerve wracking, because you know it's real.

There are real stakes. Characters die, even some you know and love.

To me, Part 1 could've been shorter while Part 2 can be longer, since Part 2 is the last film. I wish this franchise wasn't ending!

Tom runs of course.

Can't wait for Part 2! (June 28, 2024. As long as there are no delays.)

Maybe they can bring the show back!

I Heard the Bells (2022)

Very Well Done!

This is Sight & Sound's first big film, they usually only do the big plays. For it being their first film it was a great production.

The film helps you better understand Longfellow's poetry and what was going on at the time for him to write it.

It had a great cast, I think not having a big name cast helped the film very well. Great costumes as well.

Usually films like this often "forget" the children exist - not so here and I am so glad they were present throughout the film.

I hope Sight & Sound continues to make more films! Can't wait to see what they do next!

A Royal Corgi Christmas (2022 TV Movie)

It Was Pretty Good for a Hallmark Movie

Now, let's all be honest here - we watched it for the Corgi. LOL.

To be honest, I've never really been into Hallmark, so it was actually pretty good for a Hallmark movie. Some things could've been fleshed out some more, like some of the relationships between the people of the castle, but over all pretty good.

Something that is odd to me, is Mistletoe was meant for Edmond's mother but ends up being His and Cecily's, was that just weird to me? Why doesn't the queen ever warm up to Mistletoe?

Law & Order: The Right Thing (2022) Season 21, Episode 1

Good but needs work

After a 12 year hiatus it's pretty good but there are a few things that they need to work on.

Jeffrey Donovan is still trying to figure out his character, which is fine its his first episode.

They never showed the floor in the DA's office before, it was jarring to see it was checkered - it stood out too much.

One of the things I missed was usually in arraignment there's chaos, there's a crowd, there's noise. It was usually fun to watch the lawyers and judge banter back and forth but here there was nothing it was quiet and boring. It wasn't until they set the bail that protesters started making noise.

The courtroom seemed really small for some reason.

There was a specific score I liked that they played whenever someone was about to give important information, confess, or a body was found - they changed it here which is ok but I liked the other one better.

Anyway we'll see how it goes.

NCIS: Thirst (2011) Season 9, Episode 6

Didn't get the ending

The episode was going well until the last 10 minutes. It was like the writers realized how much time they had left and had to end it somehow, so they decided to ruin Ducky's love life and make her the killer - it was like they didn't want to have this episode continue to another one. Her reaction to Ducky was so out of the blue I was confused with what was happening. I liked her character, Mary, I thought they would continue with her.

Cleopatra (1963)

Good movie but could've been WAY shorter

While this was a good movie, it definitely could've been shorter - I saw the 4 hour version on TCM last night. I did like the film but after awhile i was ready for it to be over. The movie was just a movie about a bunch of lustful men being scorned by hot scheming chick, forget hell hath no fury like a woman scorned its the men who were being scorned!

I don't understand the hate...

I enjoyed this movie. I was expecting something not very good and I was pleasantly surprised, maybe that's why this movie has such bad reviews. Is it predictable and stupid? Sure, but it was still good and funny. I love the sibling therapy with all those cameos, had no idea some of those celebrities had brothers!
