Paranormal Demons (2018)
One of the worst films I have ever seen.
I don't even know where to start. This film is possibly the worst film I have ever seen. Avoid at all cost. Maybe watch a some paint getting dry. This will be more thrilling and fun than watching this miserable attempt of making a movie. The director failed at simply everything!! You don't believe me? Watch for yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you. You will have more fun with your next dentist appointment as with this movie!!
Atomic Eden (2015)
A truly great homage to Assault on Precinct 13
First of all Atomic Eden is not a movie which will win an Academy Award. However, if you are like me and you are fan of John Carpenter movies, especially "Assault on Precinct 13" you will enjoy and appreciate this film a lot! Besides that, Atomic Eden is bullet riddled and bone smashing love letter to the glorious time when video stores still ruled the world. You'll read many reviews for this movie where people will dismiss this as trash but I'm here to say that this film wasn't made for people like that. It was made for the people who live and breath action and can't get enough of it. Look past the flaws and know that this is indie action filmmaking on a budget and you'll have a good time. It pretty much should call out to any fan who grew up watching any of the epics that Cannon Films put out back in the day.
Halloween Kills (2021)
Its a pitty, the film could have been so much better.
When I fist saw the trailer my excitement level went up and I could wait to see the film. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the outcome of Halloween Kills. I wanna start with what I liked: I really much liked that they brought back Charles Cyphers, Kyle Richards and even Nancy Stephens but they didn't used these characters from Carpenters Original well enough. What I also liked that they brought back Loomis. You heard right Loomis returns to the franchise for a few flashbacks. It seems that they casted a doppelgänger of Donald Pleasence and borrowed his voice from previous Halloween Installments. Unfortunately they hardly used Loomis, even they could give him more screentime. However besides all this, the film itself can not live up to Halloween 2018 and was a disappointment for me.
They Live (1988)
A true Carpenter classic
For me one of Carpenters best works. The movie is quite often highly underrated among his films. When I first saw "The Live" it blew my mind and I prefer this film over the overrated Matrix franchise.
