Loki (2021)
Loki spinoff
Someone is killing a GREAT Avenger character by writing a horrible spinoff. I LOVED LOKI in the Avengers and he has fallen flat in these spinoffs. The story is lame, the characters are weak, the dialog makes no sense and I truly feel bad for what was once a very funny, witty, "evil" but passionate character.
Hopefully there will be some sort of redemption in future episodes but so far, there's no hope in sight.
I would like to understand why they are spinning the story off into this mindless direction. It's almost as if the audience will follow along because they loved Loki so much in the Avengers. I, for one, will stop watching this entirely soon if it doesn't get better.
White Collar (2009)
Pleaser revive White Collar
I loved this series even though I didn't see it till it was over. I really hope they will revive it. It was one of the better television series that was out there. The storyline and the characters were never boring. It had charm, suspense, humor, intelligent banter and you really cared for each of the characters.
I was very sorry to see "Sara" leave and I hope they bring her back if the show returns. She was one to keep Neal on his toes and seemed to be his equal.
I only have 4 more episodes to watch before they end and will be very sad when it does. I'm trying to drag it out but I'm also anxious to see what kind of ending is in store for this series.
The Blacklist (2013)
Sad
Covid killed all of my fave shows including The Blacklist. It's so sad that most of the actors who made the show great left and the the plot lines became weak because of the missing actors.
I'm not sure why the actors left in droves but it left a huge gaping hole. Did they have better offers elsewhere or did they see the writing on the wall that the show was going to end?
There are still some important storylines to address but I don't know if they will be answered by the end of the show. It is sad that one of the best shows has to end this way. I wish there could at least have been a spinoff to keep it going.
NCIS: Los Angeles (2009)
Used to be my fave TV show
NCIS Los Angeles used to be my fave show until pandemic hit and messed up everyone. I never watched it from the first season so I have to find those and catch up to present day. However, the show seems to have gone downhill for me since it has returned. I don't like the direction it seems to be headed. I'm guessing that Covid still has something to do with the sketchy plot lines and lack of all actors being on set at the same time. I don't like the lack of continuity in the storylines and between actors. I really MISS the old plot lines and hope it regains it's original strength.
I do hope that Hetty returns - perhaps this will spice up the storyline. I do, however, like Gerald Rainey as he is an excellent male Hetty!
Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy (2021)
There is no 8.5 stars
Ciao Stanley! If you ever read this, I want to tell you that I was living in Firenze at the same time you were there in 1972 so I can completely relate to what you were experiencing. Of course I'm older - I was attending Study Abroad in my Jr. Year a Firenze but I did travel to a few of the places that you are showing. My love of food came after I left Italia and came back home. I was never really interested in food but now I'm a fanatic and am soooo happy that you are doing this documentary. I'm watching the last episode tonight and I hope it continues. I started with Toscana, of course.
Grazie mille for doing this and buona fortuna for continued success!
Legacies (2018)
Actress who plays Cleo
Sorry, but I can't understand her - speaks too quickly with a heavy accent and mumbles. I don't understand 95% of what she says and it's frustrating enough that I've given up watching Legacies for a while...
Yesterday (2019)
Oh I believe in Yesterday.
Although I only gave it 8 stars, I really enjoyed this movie. I saw it twice. I am a HUGE Beatles fan and the music pulled me in to see the movie. It was sweet because of the story and nostalgic because of the music. The movie actually made me feel sad because of the loss of the group who will never be together again to create such an incredible feeling and sound. But I was happy, at the same time, to be able to experience that feeling again through this movie.
Hemish did a superb job. I wish I could have given it a 10 but it lacked something. Still, I'm going to buy the DVD and enjoy rewatching it.
Aladdin (2019)
Loved it!
I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. Won't give anything away but I enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
My review
1. I LOVED the story and thought Rey was a fab strong character. 2. Was disappointed with the lack of nostalgic reference to OBI-Wan, Amadala and other major former players in past episodes; lack of humor; lack of originality - rehash of scenes from previous episodes (like the bar and Death Star) but too much like the original with minimal change; too much shooting and not enough use of laser swords (For goodness sake, that's what they are known for!; lack of a believable connection between Rey and Finn 3. I was surprised at the major scene but it spiced up the storyline. 4. I will go to the next episode since VII left us hanging like V did.
Down with Love (2003)
See it more than once.
The movie grows on me. I have seen it 3 times and the more I see it, the more I like it. The singing number at the end is worth waiting for. I smile every time I see it. You can tell Ewan and Renee are having alot of fun.
Moulin Rouge! (2001)
Best Movie Ever!
I've seen it 13 times and I WISH it would come back to Hawaii so I could see it 100 more times. I really MISS it! Ewan has a FABULOUS singing voice, Nicole is perfect, Baz is the greatest director of all time! A more perfect movie could not be made.
