Halo: Inheritance (2022)
Missed the mark
For the past 2 weeks I've been actually excited about the Thursday release of this weeks Halo episode. After this weeks episode I'm not sure if I want to watch the show anymore; there's so many better shows out there to be honest. Firstly, why is the show named 'halo' focussing on a girl who's story nobody actually cares about. We need some chief v covenant fight scenes and more development of that story, but no. They chose to make this as boring as possible.
Seriously, they're losing me, and I'm sure a lot of other people quickly - and after 2-3 promising episodes beforehand.
Do better for the sake of entertainment, please.
5/10.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa (2022)
The Death of Star Wars TV
It's painful to say, but the real reason Book of Boba Fett was created was for money. They know that they don't have to make a good show to make money nowadays, as Disney+ is mainly a yearly subscription fee (by majority). The last episode was brilliant, and a 9/10 after a poor 6/10 pilot episode, but this just turns awful, and fast. Why do they have these poor cosplay actors who are riding speeders from Back to the Future. The characters add nothing to the show. Another point, don't even get me started on the speeder chase through Mos Espa which looked like it had been made by an 11th grade senior for a computer graphics class. The CGI was just horrendous, and not to mention the speeding up of the video when the girl stopped her speeder. Where to from here? Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. Bring back the Dave Filoni episodes.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine (2022)
Drastic Improvement
This episode has a lot of promise. The CG was quite good, it's certainly improving every year and the Star Wars team have it nailed. The episode focuses mainly on Fett's back story, and it does very well to provide more insight into the Tusken Raiders' culture and morality. The train scene was very nice, I hope we get to see more from the spice runners who featured in the Clone Wars. The only qualms I have about this episode is about where the show will go in the future; will it pursue the Hutt conflict, will it pursue more flashback story arcs? I don't see any direction yet, but I look forward for to the next episode. Another thing, the dancing scene around the fire at the end was quite weird, and didn't effectively help the show reach a climax.

The Expanse: Redoubt (2021)
Anti-Climactic
It wasn't the best episode of this season, that's for sure, but it was above average. This episode felt like a filler episode which belongs in a proper 10-episode long season because the story wasn't advanced much at all, apart from Drummer (my favourite character) sending a message to the Belters declaring her disgust for Marco and the Free Navy. Avasarala... did she even get 3 minutes on screen? What about Bobby? The Alex mention after all that Anwar's been accused of... I mean really? I really look forward to the last episode, which is over an hour long, just hope that it's mainly Free Navy / Mars and Earth conflict and not the background for Laconia which will hopefully be covered in the next episode.
The Expanse: Force Projection (2021)
Finale building episode
Quite a good episode. The main point I would have are: we need more Drummer action, we need more Avasarala, but overall the action was great, the CGI was still very good. It will be interesting to see what happens on Ceres with all of the explosives being detonated. For those saying "why did holden disarm the warhead," it's because he doesn't want to be a martyr like Inaros, and if he kills him, another extremist will take his place. Cut of the head of a snake and two more take its place.
7/10.
The Expanse: Azure Dragon (2021)
Only one question
My only query about this season so far is how are they going to use the story of the people on Planet #673 (or whatever it is) in Ring #-- and complete it within the next 4 episodes? It just doesn't seem possible at all.
