All of My Heart: The Wedding (2018)
Why Change the Inn & more?
Change isn't always good, taking the basic Hallmark formula and changing it. The 1st film before the sequel worked it had charm, it had character that grew on you and that's because of the inn and the people in the supporting cast but that all changed. The Inn now a B&B completely different, cleaned up the supporting cast and tried to make it more modern, why? As always things are fine, the misunderstanding or an issue arises, a few tense moments and at the end everyone comes together, the disappointing part was it didn't come together in their original quirky house and that in its self is why this sequel really disappoints
The Irishman (2019)
Such Star Power yet so little in reutn
Your choice to watch, this was a tough one it had it's moments but overall tedious and boring. The plot we all know but getting to the point of the story had too way much minutia. Most disappointing to me were the special effects, Martin Scorsese made this the longest film of his career and it showed, it showed in the characters that were being portrayed by Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci and trying to make them look young I kept waiting for their faces to fall off and the dialog!! Stale and uninspiring from the flash backs to the ending that if intended was anticlimactic at best. Finally Pacino's Hoffa reminded me of his as Big Boy Caprice from Dick Tracy but in that film it fit in The Irishman he was all over the place but as they say everybody has an opinion you be the judge
L.A.'s Finest: Bad Girls (2019)
Seriously! Spoiler Alert Art not immating real life
Ok Been watching this episode, I mean really!! Gabrielle Union crashing a motorcycle at 85 miles an hour into a wall the bike exploding and not a scratch!! Clothes perfect walking away, it really doesn't go that way and to show it like this was irresponsible and very implausible, a predictable story line, CGI needs work but it's great to see 2 very strong leads given to very talented woman in a male dominated industry
Blockers (2018)
What could have been
Hollywood's been in a comedy rut for years and this films a perfect example! What could have been and ideal all around comedy film with messages intended or not turns into a nightmare film about what parents don't want to see or know about their kids when they go to their high school prom. Part voyeurism, part how to deceive your parents and the angst of ones sexuality presented in such a way it makes me wonder why time was spent on getting ready for the girls to want to have sex vs. understanding why? But I will give it to the film makers in the 2nd thought category with one of the kids not going thru (or all they way) but loving it either way and in the end the parents being ok with things after all, Gary Cole always good to see but lacking any real original gags or lines this is another forgettable film that could have been...
