Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (1993)
One really great 90's classic cartoon
Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the best TV shows of the 90's. It is quintissential 90's TV and is a fine example of what cartoons used to be like. The villains were great as was Sonic the 90's version of Bugs Bunny. This show is aimed at a particular audience of kids who grew up watching cartoons all the time and for that generation Sonic was ideal animation. There was also a tone of sadness underneath the shows exterior that one would have to find out by watching the series. Even so the show is full of hum our and is perfect for kids. Or at least it was. Weather or not today's kids will like the series is another matter but for this person who grew up watching this series Sonic is a awesome 90's show that deserves the same attention as the much loved games
One Tree Hill (2003)
The Most Lamest and Corniest show on t.v.
This series has got to be the worst teen drama in the history of TV. Unlike shows like the O.C. which was funny or even Dawson's Creek which was compelling despite the fact that i did not really watch this series. This show on the contrary lacks any originality and is boring. What i hate about it the most is the corny music that comes on all the time. Every scene has sad music playing in the background, the show is the 00's equivalent of black and white TV. I mean would some just shut off the crap music every time a character cries, which as it happens occurs regularly.
The show is clearly aimed at a teenage female audience but it lacks any of the ingredients that make a good series. There is no humour and the drama is poor. The characters are all collage stereotypes dealing with their problems. A nerd and the strong males as well as the giddy school girls. The male characters are predictable dull but are deeply respectful and manly with their battles on the basketball court. I would have to say that their is definite sexism in the screenplay as they can't stop crying about anything.
The show is not all bad there is one good thing about it and that is of course of th sexy women but other then this the show has nothing else. Without well developed characters, humour and an original story and not just fictionalization of real life events like when in a episode a gunman holds up the school. These things have been done before plus the idea of TV show like this are to present story lines that could not happen in the real world but provide the audience with entertainment with subtly advise also been given. Their is no need to have in your face lessons about how to handle specific events in your life.
For these reason i would not encourage people to watch this lame corny TV show. It is a show for oversensitive people who don't care about character development or humour but merely watch it be made sad. Anyone else who watches this show would only watch it for the women and nothing else.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990)
One of the best 90's comedy series
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is by far Will Smith's greatest appearance on screen. It started at the beginning of the 9o's when TV series were at the best. Comedy series during the 90's were better then anything that came before.
Will Smith carries the show with his hyperactivity and his general behaviour towards the Banks family. But quite apart from him, Carlton played by Alfonso Ribiero is almost funnier. The rich upper class cousin who speaks harsh but acts immature. These two characters are in my opinion the most funniest. While the rest of cast are also portrayed excellently. Will and Carlton make the series what it is, a must see for anyone who wants a good laugh.
Batman: The Animated Series: Feat of Clay: Part II (1992)
Batman's Darkest episode
This is the darkest episode of Batman the animated series yet. Why i can say that it is not the best it is certainly up there with the other great episodes. This episode basically introduces us one of Batman's most disgusting enemies. As always in this series it is not straigh forward with the villain and concluding the second half of the episode we see Clay face. The plot is original and the villain is grotesque. For a animated series this episode can be compared to films. It is graphic even for animation. You can really appreciate the work that went into making this series. All the villains are given screen time and when they do the freaks like Two Face and Joker we can see they are truly mad. Keeping to this episode i can honestly say that Clay Face stuck out as Batman's most disgusting villain. I found myself amazed out how well they developed his character in th episode. This is classical Batman and just suitable for TV audiences. If this episode was made a movie it would have to be eighteens. Seriously a must watch for all Batman fans.
