Ernest Rides Again (1993)
Pretty good adventure movie but the plot took a little long to start.
If you're someone scrolling by the YouTube library and want to have a good time, this Ernest flick will entertain you. This movie is about Ernest and a college professor finding crown jewels off a lost cannon. There are other people finding this crown for themselves too so Ernest has some competition for his journey.
I like the idea but the beginning scene where he's at a house that is in construction took a little too long and got boring quickly. Other than that, I thought it was a good film.
Ernest Goes to School (1994)
Billy Madison's got ya beat Ernie.
This Ernest flick was horribly predictable and there was only one joke I found funny and it wasn't unique. I did like the plumbing sequence in the beginning because it showed us that Ernest is an idiot that never went to school hence is where the plot takes place.
If you were to compare this one with Billy Madison, I think the second option is the better of the two because the idea is more unique and the movie moves to different settings.
There are more Ernest flicks out there that I think are more worth your time than this one will.
Ernest in the Army (1998)
I haven't seen them all but this one's my favorite
The plot was simple. There was a variety of humor throughout the show involving slapstick and one liners. A lot of jokes landed for me. Admittedly I've only seen this, "Ernest Rides Again," and the one where he goes through high school. There might be a few better Ernest flicks out there but if you are down for a 90 minute entertainment, this'll provide it for you.
Paul (2011)
Although this movie had a thrilling story with a beautiful ending, there are some dislikes I have from this film.
I felt that this movie got personal about religion and the writers were forcing their belief system onto us.
The swearing I thought was unnecessary for a lot of the scenes. I think this movie would have been better if the swearing was limited to where it was only used during the action scenes. I just think the story and the intelligence of the characters had potential to use better vocabulary than what was written.
Other than that, I thought the movie was entertaining and carried its plot out very well.
Cube (1997)
A few graphic deaths but a fun movie with great characters
I like how everyone in the movie played a significant role in their journey to escape this cube. The deaths are really nasty and they occurred if someone enters a room with a death trap. I liked that because it got my heart racing every time the group entered a new room after throwing a shoe (or themselves as we approach the end of the film).
The solution to the puzzle was incredible too and to be honest I would have never thought of it if I was trapped there.
There are some characters that I liked and a couple I disliked. The cop who later becomes a psycho, Quentin, played an okay leader of the group. Often times he would get frustrated with someone and curse them out. The young girl, Joan Leaven, started off as someone that needed to depend off of Quentin but as the movie went on, she was the one that figured out the puzzle. Joan couldn't figure out the last piece of the math puzzle; Kazan, the special needs person, did. I at first didn't like Kazan until his role actually helped the group. The "Karen" of the group, Dr. Holloway, often got into Quentin. Even though she was one that drove Quentin crazy, she persuaded him to keep everyone together and alive. Dr. Holloway also gave more character development and Joan was more brave to stand up against the sicko cop. The guy who claims he created the whole thing, David, was more useless as he believed that there wasn't a way out from his catastrophe. The guy who came up with the "shoe" strategy, Rennes, I liked and a little sad his time was quick. The very first guy featured in the film, Alderson, just showed us that there were rooms that killed you.
The ending though I thought was very anticlimactic as the full answer to the puzzle was revealed and quite sad that Joan lost her confidence and agreed with David's belief. I also would like to know how there was a way into this maze if there was no way out.
Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (2020)
That Is A Phineas And Ferb Movie!
The movie was funny. It is an action movie based off of science fiction. The setting of the story and the climax was phenomenal. The story began within 20 minutes of the movie and carried on throughout the movie.
The movie had a lot of good lessons like importance of life and to not let stress be your lack of happiness. Trust and teamwork is also taught in this movie.
A good movie for the whole family, a hidden gem for Disney movie fans, a movie some fans from other science-fiction cartoons might enjoy, and something to love for the fans of the cartoon Phineas and Ferb.
