Waterproof (2000)
A Do Not Miss Movie
I caught this movie quite by accident. What a thrill. The entire cast performed wonderfully. It is definitely Burt Reynolds' best.
The story flows evenly and is entirely believable. The differences in the characters' religious preferences, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds and life experiences are well portrayed. These differences, I felt, were the glue that made the story so real feeling.
When watching the movie make certain to watch it pass the ending and pass the credits. The last image you see is super.
Whatever your personal religious convictions this is a true "feel good" movie and should not be missed.
The Lion King (1994)
Super flick
I thoroughly enjoyed the film (even if I am in my 60s). I would recommend the film to all.
The acting coupled with the voice-overs and the music are simply terrific. I talked my grandchildren into seeing the flick. Of course, after that I had to buy them TLK stuff.
Little Piece of Trivia: As an aside, there is one scene where Scar, in response to a question from Simba, answers "...you have no idea." (or something like that). Anyway, Jeremy Irons in the movie "Reversal of Fortune" make the same answer that Scar does, in the same voice, when responding to the statement that he is strange (or the like). Check it out. The first time I saw "The Lion King" I laughed out loud.
