Crikey! What a little beauty!
6 August 2002
I went to see this movie not knowing quite what to expect. Was Steve Irwin going to go try to "act," or was he just going to rant on about conservation, blah, blah, blah? Fortunately, he realizes he's neither a Lawrence Olivier nor a Jane Goodall. He and Terry are themselves. They play the whole movie very tongue-in-cheek, racing across the striking Australian landscape, fleeing from evil CIA-types while saving animals right and left along the way.

It's very funny, very exciting and they still manage to get in a good message about wildlife conservation. Don't try to make sense of the rather implausible plot. Just strap yourself in and take a wild ride with Steve and Terry! Crikey!!!

The Final Conflict? Not much of anything, much less a conflict.
2 April 2002
Warning: Spoilers
I liked the first film, The Omen. I loved the second film, Damien: Omen II. But the third film, The Final Conflict, there really wasn't anything happening in the movie, so that's probably why I didn't like it. Damien in the third installment isn't really doing anything but telling Jesus how he's going to beat him. The Final Conflict didn't have any of the blood or horror like in the first two movies. So if you liked The Omen and Damien: Omen II, do not even bother with trying to see this one. Actually, the only good thing about the film is that is dies in it, but even that is a big let down.

A Brilliant Work
5 March 2002
A magnificent documentary that shows the last days of Hollywood's greatest actress. That also shows rare footage of 9 hours of Marilyn's last movie, Something's Got To Give, that AMC had restored and edited to 37 minutes showing what could have been.

Most scenes didn't have her in them, because of her absent days during filming, that lead Fox to have her fired from the film. But because of Dean Martin's contract, (saying that he wouldn't be in it if Marilyn wasn't) Fox signed her back on. Sadly, the movie was never finished, due to Marilyn's tragic death. (Suicide, I think NOT!)

Still, Marilyn Monroe: The Final Days is a beautifully pieced program that tells the ending of Marilyn Monroe's life, but there is no ending to Marilyn's legacy and the memory of her.

Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006)
Funny and true!
27 January 2002
Malcolm in the Middle is a hilarious show! It's a lot like The Simpsons as in the "disfunctional family" way, but Malcolm in the Middle just doesn't seem to have enough female characters in it. In Malcolm in the Middle there's this: a mom, a dad, 4 boys and Malcolm friends are 3 boys in his advanced class. And the girls in Malcolm's class that liked him (or vice versa) were only on for a few episodes, each. Maybe if he had a female cousin as a recurring character that would fill something?

And I think they should more stuff about Malcolm's friends, I know that they're supposed to be dorks, but I think that Dabney (Kyle Sullivan) is kind of cute.

A Great Movie With A Great Cast
21 November 2001
I think Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (or Philosopher's Stone, depending on where you live) will be a classic. It not only stays true to the book, but the casting is wonderful. Every actor in the movie is perfect for their character. Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter is brilliant. Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley are excellent. The visual effects are "state of the art technology". Believe me, sitting in a dark theater for two and a half hours are absolutely worth every second.
