Virginia (2010)
10/10
Jennifer Connelly is AMAZING
27 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
After 2 years of waiting, I finally had the chance to see "Virginia" last night, and I'm glad I did!

The film starts of one year before the opening scene where Virginia (Jennifer Connelly) is being carried out of her house by the local sheriff Dick (Ed Harris). Go one year earlier we have Virginia, A mentally ill but loving mother. She's been having a 2 decade long affair with local sheriff/Mormon Dick and has a 16 year old son in which she hopes is his but is doubtful. Virginia's son Emit has no clue who his father is but knows it is not the sheriff's in which his daughter he is dating!

There is not one, but four main characters in this movie which sometimes makes it a little hard to follow. We watch Virginia go on a downward spiral into schizophrenia. Dick covering his little secret about his addiction to S&M. Last but not least Emit and Jessie love for one another which is portrait beautifully in this film.

I'm surprised this film had so much trouble getting a distributor, Yes its not perfect but we have movies like VAMPIRE SUCKS and THE Dilemma (sorry Connelly) hitting screens all over the world yet this little gem got shelved.

OVERALL I really liked this film. Jennifer Connelly was amazing and really showed her off her acting abilities. The young cast were great in there roles as well. 7/10

Not bad at all

Warning: Spoilers
I Saw this last night and thought it was pretty good for a romantic comedy Things were looking up for Ronny and Nick who have been best friends since high school, they land a fantastic deal with a car company and with Ronny's Girlfriend Beth and Nick's wife Geneva by there sides things couldn't be better, that is until Ronny catches Geneva with another man. He goes to extreme lengths to try and get the truth out of Geneva but she pretty much tells him to stay out of her relationship or she will tell everyone one he has started gambling again (a problem he had two years before) Now Ronny has to spy on her, try and get some evidence and tell his best friend. But with all this going on Beth tries to find out what Ronnie is up to and their relationship is going down hill Vince Vaughn & Kevin James are great in their roles as well as Jennifer Connelly. Winona didn't have much screen time but did well with what she was given 7/10

Trash, Stay Aawy From This Film
14 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
O.K I know a lot of you really want to add this movie to your Palace Explosive Video collection. And even just see it for its obscurity . Well don't, it is the worst movie a have ever seen in my whole life and that is saying something as I'm a big fan of B grade 80's horror e.g. (boarding-house, blood beat, rats night of terror etc) This movie is just boring and looks like it has been shot on a video camera. So the movie starts we are in a mental hospital with some very bad actors trying as hard as they can to act crazy (one of the patients has a little doll she looks very fond of, then a crazy girl comes up and says I'm going to kill your doll. Umm o.k.) The main actress in the movie is played by Renee Harmon, A German actress who know one will understand as her English is very bad . She has been admitted by her husband to stay at the hospital , when really she is not crazy he is just out to make her look that way so he can take her money and use it on this brain operation thing he has invented which has a few BAD side effects . So she gets out of the hospital and endeavors to find out what her husband is up to .

There is no gore in this movie really. Long dull scenes that are absolutely pointless, awful characters. The ending is very bad. And you just want the lead actress to die the minute she enters on the screen (which she never does) Oh and one more thing , there is stock footage from a completely different film that randomly pops up every 15 minutes or so. I may of made this movie sound like fun. But it really isn't. You Are Warned!!!
