The Bounty Men (2022)

I stopped watching after a half hour

If any reviews rave about this being a decent western, they haven't watched a decent western. The plot was decent, and that's as far as it went. No clue who the actors were but they seemed like folks that weren't very skilled at their jobs. I gave it a half hour but after that, I couldn't handle any more. Even the background music grated on my nerves. I think the first give away for me was at the very beginning. This was supposed to be just after the civil war yet the opening scene had a stainless steel pot hanging over an open fire. Stainless steel was invented in 1913... The next let down was when people only standing a few yards from one another and a gun fight erupts, yet no one hits anything. And these people grew up with guns in their hands? Seriously? I can't even recommend this if you're desperate for something to watch since for me commercials on TV are more interesting.

I don't think the show is that bad myself. The story is ok, oft repeated but ok. The acting is ok. Not a lot of fighting in it so stunt actors aren't needed much but,,, it's a made for television show. That means millions weren't spent on it like some big Marvel made for the theater show. It's only 4 episodes which means funding was VERY limited for it. I for one liked every episode and people need to make up their own minds about it instead of letting others make up their minds for them. Since there aren't enough characters in the previous, I'll repeat myself once again. Watch it yourself and make up your own mind instead of letting others make up your mind for you.

The Rise of the Anti-Vaxx Movement (2021 TV Movie)

It was ok

It's a doc, what can I say. My main reason for commenting is I know the qanon anti-vax antimask folks are going to come out of the woodwork slamming the doc. Dunno why really beyond they can't seem to make it through life without trying to prove the majority of the planet is plotting to subjugate them in some manner. Regardless of their bs, they had to be vaccinated to attend school and a cloth mask is a better option than an oxygen mask and a casket. Prove we don't have somewhere close to 800k dead and maybe I'll listen. Dummasses.

Dune (2021)

Boring and slow

I found the movie not only boring, it was slow and the ending didn't even exist. Chalamet shouldn't have even been considered for the lead much less granted it. He flat didn't fit. A scrawny kid that wouldn't last ten seconds against someone in a confrontation sure as heck isn't going to easily handle a grown man in an armed conflict. Other leads were appropriately cast yet only got a few minutes of screen time. The ending in the novel was so cut off that there could easily be a part two. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the other leads, their great performance however minute and the props.

Apache Junction (2021)

Waste of time and money

If you're looking for a good western to watch, look elsewhere. Nothing is even close to realistic beyond the horses are actual horses. If you choose to see this movie, plan on asking for your money back.

The Rangers: Bloodstone (2021)

Pitiful

I couldn't watch more than about 15 minutes of this. The acting of the main character wasn't much better than a kids from a school play and the "make up" that the people playing orcs looked like it may have been made in someones garage. If you're an 8 year old it's watchable. If you're of adult age, you might consider it if you're really stoned.
