Once more... Taylor doing it
27 January 2023
I loved this movie... nothing too fancy, but the photography, the script and the actors make it amazing. Taylor Sheridan is a gold mine. Everything he does is just perfect. The film is so meticulously made. From the first photogram to the last... The mountain scenes are incredible and some of the scenes at the end are also so moving.... Simply quality cinema. Elizabeth is great in her role and so is Jeremy, not to mention Graham and Gil. All superb. I don't understand though how Jon Bernthal got such a small part. He is also amazing in every role he plays. Just one thing: I was not born there and don't live there, but I went to High School in Wyoming, I played against the Wind River's cougars :-) All this drama around Wyoming and Montana with series like Yellowstone, 1923 and movies like this one...are a little bit too much. I know it is just movies and tv series, but I would encourage Taylor to also depict Wyoming and Montana with another angle. Never felt in danger in the Shoshone reservation nor in Wind River, never felt like the state was all ruins, drama and marginalized people... Again, I know it is just a movie but it is now a few ones showing a picture that is probably giving people the wrong impression. You can't cause a wrong impression about NY because it is an 8 million people city. So showing a few gagsters in NY is fine because it gets diluted. When you make 10 movies all showing marginalized people in a 500K people state, it is a little bit different :-) My 2 cents.

Brilliantly funny... every statement is a jewel
16 January 2023
I can watch the same episode like 20 times and still laugh to death. The script and dialogues are so brilliant. Each statement about human evolution contains a jewel in word playing- It is a pure Groucho Marx adaptation of Planet Earth. And Diane is just AMAZING. I don't even know how she does it to hold her face straight during some of the interviews... I had seen her in After Life and others and you notice right away how funny she can get. She deserves a price for this one and Cunk on Britain. It doesn't matter if they talk about dogs, discovering fire or cave paintings, there is always a brilliant sentence for each... A must see if you want to have some great laughs. So brilliant and funny.

It was just so easy to do it right...
24 October 2022
Nobody denies the merit of the graphics, astonishing visual effects, pictures, landscapes, customs etc etc . Technically, it is a great piece. BUT HOW THE HECK CAN YOU MESS UP A STORY AS GOOD AS THIS? I mean with all the money put into this production it would have been SO EASY to elaborate on Tolkiens World in so many better ways... There are so many inconsistencies, silly stories and non-sense and FOR NO REASON. You had the chance to explain the different kingdoms, to explain middle earth and to describe and elaborate on so many Tolkien characters without such a plot mess... Congrats guys, for those of us that love movies, love Tolkien, love visual effects, love epic stories and have been waiting for this series, you just RUINED IT. You put all those together in a tremendously poor way... and you had the money for doing it well...

Right on: this is our world today
27 December 2021
Obviously it is a comedy and an exacerbation... but it is just so right on: politicians making decisions based on trending topics, negationists that don't trust science (although science is precisely what let them get Twitter, guns and the internet to propagate their nonsense) and of course, the Mark Zuckerberg allegory... it is just such a good reflection of what the world has come down to. Really makes you think...

Cheers everyone up, makes your day

This TV series is just so funny. America is awesome, Ben is awesome and the entire cast is just a collection of pure jewels: Elias, Brett, Sandra, Carol... each actor and actress is just so peculiar and funny in its role that you spend every single chapter with a huge smile in your face. Trust me people, if this series doe snot cheer you up nothing will.

Yes, time for Mr Eastwood to retire
7 November 2021
Sloppy, too ingenious, unrealistic and a disappointment. You watch Grand Tori no or even The Mule and you see such a decline in how this last movie is directed and how scenes are rolled... It is really sad to see time affecting (all of us) this way, but it is what it is... Common... hookers and hotties hitting on him even after he becomes 120 yo... And then, the kids role is so poorly handled that it is even surreal... Thanks so much for your incredible service but... time to rest Clint...

Beautiful
28 September 2021
Amazing, moving, huge interpretation by Tom Skerritt. This movie shows how it is still possible to make simple but at the same time extremely beautiful movies. By the way, I wished trailers stopped trying to make every single movie look like a Disney or Bourne Identity adventure. A trailer for this one should just show the calm, the tranquility, the relaxing and moving scenes and music....
