Welcome to the Show (2021)
What was the point in watching this exactly?!?
The idea was absolutely pointless and more than anything. BORING. It was a sloppy Joe posing as a $10,000 golden ribeye. Walking, Arguing. Felt like it had potential in the first 30 minutes but no. More walking, arguing. Not much of a movie.
Everybody Loves Raymond (1996)
A repetitive pattern in the plots can be noticed
I watched the show a few times and I quickly noticed there's a repetitive pattern in all the plots. Ray is a compulsive liar basically. It's either he lies to his wife or does something behind her back dishonest and then she finds out in the end and that's where the conflict hits the roof and then gets resolved or someone's sleeping on the couch , or sometimes vice versa ie; she lies/has a secret to him or his family and its her in the frypan. Or it goes that he's arguing about something with his parents or arguing with his wife. So either A) an argument or a discrepancy on agreeing with the family of some kind or B) some sort of dishonesty or selfish secret that someone has and hides but then gets found out. The women in it are really overbearing. It doesn't even make sense that someone would be in a relationship with someone that controlling (where you can't have your friends over) , and why would you buy a house across the street from your parents if you hate your parents?!? And Raymond seems like a horridly lazy , selfish and weak-minded, compulsive liar, lacking confidence individual , who stays in a relationship, doesn't enjoy it, and really doesn't want to do much of anything or pull his weight but is SO mentally pathetic he stays in the marriage . Wife is aggressive and overbearing about everything. Pretty outrageous and nonsensical concept overall in my opinion. I can stomach the show once in awhile. To watch it often? Absolutely not. Plot concepts are far too similar and repeated. Gets dull quickly and too predictable. Oh and the humour??? Not a lot. I find Raymond the most unlovable character on the show.
The Blazing World (2021)
A symbolic and metaphorically based plot that the viewer must interpret.
It reminds me of a lesser Kaufman style movie. Deeply psychological and most certainly not for everyone. It pushes loads of metaphorically based scenes and recollections in the plot that make it almost excessive in understanding the story. Very colorful and very visual. It stumbles over itself sometimes, but its undeniably trippy.
Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021)
Comedy is back!! 100% unfiltered, raw humor. MUST SEE!
One of the last comedians and comedy specials that makes jokes on 2021 "uncomfortable" topics , defies the media criticism and then laughs in the face of the offended. A must see!!
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)
Childish moronic idiocy is NOT humour
I laughed once during the entire film. There are no jokes or anything cleverly constructed or thought out to be genuinely hilarious. Will Ferrell just resorts to his lame style of being "himself" ; playing an under 65 IQ idiot this whole film and spoon feeding us constant low brow , moron style vulgarity . The type of scenes that only a burnt out toothless trucker could laugh at. How people consider this comedy gold and him a "genius" shows how the IQ has dropped and movie standards must be low these days. Please don't waste a single cent or second of time on this. Never watching a Ferrell film again.
Candyman (2021)
What happened to the concept of entertainment in filmmaking?
The entertainment concept is forgotten and clearly non-existent in this one. The plot grows stale very quickly. Like almost immediately. The acting is mediocre at best and the premise feels more like a torturous session of detention from high school rather than an enjoyable horror. Why....why???
