Noticed that "subtle" product placement?
27 April 2017
I know product placement is part of the game, but that ford product placement where agent wells for no reason and even in a awkward manor remotely started her car and we got extensive shots of the phone and the car starting up. It was almost painful to watch!

Something like that can diminish the quality of the series and leaves a bad taste behind, at least ford got lots of attention...

JJ Abrams ruined it... again
21 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I went to the cinema with an absolute open mind, after hearing/seeing all the hype around the SW7 release on the other hand seen how Abrams kind of ruined star trek.

I came out of the cinema with a split personality opinion.

Opinion 1: As an average cinema viewer I was entertained and I liked the visual experience especially in 3D... I would call it a good big screen popcorn flick! But I didn't got the desire to watch it again, I also believe the experience could be worst if I watch it at home in a "normal" environment.

Opinion 2: As a star wars fan and scifi lover, I was very confused at first but the longer the movie went on, the worst it got and reminded me of a typical JJ Abrams rip off in the end, very similar to how Abrams ripped off Star Trek in the end.

I think most of the problem lies with the writers that Abrams choose. This movie feels like a bad 21st century rip off of SW4 where everything has to be bigger, louder and of course extra artificial drama! There is nearly no real connection to SW6 and a lot of key elements or characters make NO sense and feel completely made up to create up some kind of story, typically Abrams who used the same approach in star trek. I don't understand the character Rey who comes out of nowhere, has no connection with any other character and her history is also completely unclear, but she is the one that becomes the hero (by accident) and knows how to use the force without any training or mentoring. The character Finn makes no sense at all... He says at some point, that he was the janitor, but was a storm trooper that couldn't do his job and decided to turn against the empire/first order. Also i thought that he was a clone (engineered to be the perfect soldier) and how is he the first of millions if not billions storm troopers that all of a sudden turns against the empire? And then he fights the darth vader copy without real fighting skills or jedi knowledge. All of the first order characters made me mad!!! Why is the new "darth vader" character wearing a mask and why changes its voice?? The mask has no purpose other then trying to look more badass and be a darth vader copy... Whats up with that giant imperator that is called snoke and is only seen in holographs and looks like a character from The Lord of the Rings?? Is there any connection with him and any of the other movies?? And then we have the Death star 2.0... Jesus really??

I think either Hollywood doesn't care anymore and just tries to milk every $$$ from the audience and spent most money in marketing instead of great writers or Hollywood isn't capable of making a truly a great masterpiece anymore. But I don't believe that! I think the fault is with Abrams, he is a mediocre director which should have never got the job to make either Star Wars or Star Trek. Recently watching The Martian, I believe somebody like Ridley Scott or maybe Christopher Nolan should have been directing this movie!

What surprises in the end is... Didn't George Lucas already wrote the story for Star Wars 7, 8 and 9?? Couldn't the writers use what Lucas already had planned or maybe work together with him to get a great story?

In the end I can say that Episode 1-3 were better then this movie, because they were at least original even though JarJar was a pain in the ...

Misfits (2009–2013)
8/10
Excellent Series is turning into a Teenager Soap
11 November 2012
Misfits was one of my favorite series around, because it was so original and excellently made with a fantastic cast and the plots were so thrilling at times.

BUT, the new (fourth) season, while still not finished, is turning out to become some kind of teenager soap series with childish artificial drama that tends to be targeted to a much broader audience and everything is much more "politically correct" and less violent.

I'm still giving this series an overall 8/10, where I rate season 1-3 at 9/10 and season 4 gets a 2/10.

I wished that they ended the series after season 3 for good...

The Walking Dead (2010–2022)
3/10
Bla Bla Bla
17 October 2011
I was very excited about this series and couldn't wait for it to start and I thought the pilot was already pretty damn good and I had very high hopes. But from there on it went downhill, with every episode the action became less and talking became more and more until a point I shouted at the TV "Stop talking, this is a zombie series!!!". There is a scene where they sit at a campfire for around 15 minutes and talk about nothing really important, the series gets very soapy and at some point I hope that the zombies will kill them all. Also there is a lot of artificial drama , you know what I mean, where some characters are just plain stupid and you sit in the chair and ask yourself why is he or she doing this/that?

This series had a lot of potential and I don't understand the hype of this series either, nothing to get excited about...

I only rate it a 3/10, because the pilot was very good and the zombies looked cool, but everything else is bleh, even the CGI is pretty lame to be honest...

This movie is a huge joke
21 February 2010
I'm not gonna spend much time to comment on this movie, because it's not worth it! It's really the worst sequel I have ever seen in my life... Even more a huge disappointment for me, since I loved the original boondock saints. I would even go that far to say, that any fan of the original must feel insulted by this!

Really, why make a sequel when it is soooooo bad? At some point I thought, I'm watching a slapstick version of the boondock saints...

Also I hated the character of Julie Benz and couldn't stand her voice and accent! Even more disappointed since I loved her in Dexter...

And the Clifton Collins Jr character really p!ssed me off, I don't want to get into details...

The end was really the "best" part of it

Very emotional and polemic...
3 February 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Before I start writing, I wanted to say that I began watching this movie (documentary) with an open mind and I'm not a Michael Moore hater or a capitalist or anything... Actually I come from Europe, but I'm not a socialist either!

I just finished watching this and I was thinking when is this going to end, it's just way too long. As I like watching good documentaries, I thought this was a very bad documentary! There were nearly no facts presented and it felt kinda awkward a lot of the time. Their were a lot of emotions in it, watching poor people lose their homes, lose their jobs or getting screwed by idiots (example the corrupt judge). Yeah sure you need to feel sorry about them, with all the rhetoric Michael Moore uses and all the drama he builds up, who doesn't feel bad for them!? But assuming it was the fault of "capitalism" is just pure bullshit! And that some people worship money more than anything else and are greedy as hell, hasn't a thing to do with capitalism! It's the nature of some people that behave like this. Also the American culture provides the perfect breeding ground for things like this to happen. So it's the fault of the society that these things happen and not capitalism! Let me give you another example, in very socialistic countries like Venezuela you also have greed, corruption and an very elite top that have control and power over the majority. I don't want to defend capitalism or anything, but to make it short... Every system has it pro's and con's, there is no perfect system out there, but capitalism is as good as it gets. It's the society (politicians, media, culture, education and the people) who make the difference!

That is also the problem of this documentary, you can see and feel that Michael Moore made this documentary with a clear goal in his mind: To defame capitalism by any means possible. And that is not how one should make a documentary! You can have your opinion but you should stay neutral and let the audience make up its own opinion, rather than shoving your agenda down peoples throat. I think this documentary becomes more awkward the more the time passes... For example he more than ones stated that capitalism is now over because of the financial crisis and with Obama now being president we leave capitalism and everything bad behind us and America will become the social "happyland"! I was thinking "WTF", nothing much has changed! Yes, we had an economic downturn, but as soon as business is up on its feet again, everything will be back as before and a lot of people will worship money and praise capitalism again... Nothing has changed! Thats why I say it's society not the system, but Michael Moore doesn't understand that concept! Instead he is using emotions and polemic to make a point! He for example asked some priests and a bishop what they think about capitalism and what Jesus would think about capitalism. Their answer was for example "capitalism is evil" and he continued and showed a short film about a capitalist version of Jesus where Jesus uses all the clichés of greed and capitalism. WTF!? These are not arguments, this is bullshit! Since when does it matter what a priest thinks!? Yes, the priest can have his opinion, but this doesn't make it an argument against capitalism.

At the end of the movie he showed the pictures of New Orleans after Katrina with sad music in the background and said: "Why is it always the poor who have to suffer the misery? Why isn't Madoff up on the roof screaming for help? Or the head of Citibank?" etc etc... Yeah that is the kind of juxtaposition Michael Moore uses to brainwash the audience. What does Katrina have to do with capitalism? And why not stick with the truth? The people stuck in the NYC World Trade Center on 9-11-2001 screaming for help or jumping out of the window out of desperation were not what I would call poor people... And these kind of arguments and bullshit continues to the whole movie, so why is Michael Moore doing this?? Because he cannot argument on an intellectual level and thats why he uses emotions, drama, juxtaposition and polemic to get his point down. This is not what I call a documentary, it's more like a conspiracy or propaganda movie.

If anybody wants to see a well made documentary about the financial crisis on an intellectual level, I would recommend watching the 3 part series of BBC called the "The Love of Money".

Together with Poseidon, this makes it one of the worst movies of the year !!!
5 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Excuse me guys, but why are so much people voting a ten on this??? I think the ratings are either faked, or a whole bunch of you have no sense for good movies and don't no anything about movies or art!!!

Really, when I saw the ratings, I had to sign-up, this movie is so poor, just reminds me of Poseidon. Get a very, very, very (very, very ...) bad and un-creative story, put on a big name, like (Samuel L Jackson), get some very hot babes on their, that are behaving like some crazy p0rnstars and have great tits (they really had ;) ), get some stupid, low level drama in it with some whining women and some scared kids and don't forget the very bad CGI (that was really bad and way to much of it) than your next Hollywood "of the assembly-line" movie is ready. And I don't want to forget, that from an aviation standpoint all of this crap isn't real in any way. I know, i can't expect that a movie be perfectly realistic, but nearly all of it, is made up or isn't realistic in any way. I can expect just a little reality in a movie?? ... oh, but stop, than this whole movie-concept wouldn't work anymore.

But to make such a lame movie a real moneys*cker, put the above ingredients together, get some stereotype sh*tty acting with it and start a huge marketing campaign around it, so that everybody has have heard about it, nearly everybody (who thinks, he actually knows something about movies) will talk about it, so u make sure, that many people spent their hard-earned money on this piece of .... !!!

U can see it already on the other comments. It's fine for me if other "dudes" gets entertained by low-quality movies ... but please, leave the movie-ratings to the people who actually understand something about this ... To be fair, this movie can't have an overall rating of more than a 4 !!! Thats why I voted for a 1, to compensate some of the other ratings

I advise you, not spent any of your money on this one, its not even worth looking it for free if you want to be entertained on a good level!?

PS: I sorted out the whole story, just from looking at the first 12 minutes of the movie ... says it all!!!
