Hazbin Hotel (2019)
Gold
I really enjoyed this one. Viv managed to stay true to the pilot, which is a feat in and of itself. The world of Hazbin Hotel is very entertaining and offers a different take on Christian lore, one that goes back to its roots about forgiveness and flips the usual script. Yes, it's not the first, but it offers an entertaining view and teases with its lore and character background enough to leave the viewer wanting to know more.
It is a shame, though, that only 4 episodes were realased as of this writing. I was looking forward to an entire night of binging it. This interest is niche, but those in this genre should enjoy the adult humor laced with song in this format. I know I did.
Amazon, A24, and Bento Box, you had *better* let them finish this story!
Leprechaun: Origins (2014)
Warning
This has nothing to do with the franchise. Unfortunately, very little of the "leprechaun" is shown and there's little to no explanation of its "origin." This probably would not have been that bad if there were more creature effects and marketed as a separate movie in its own right. Or at least a little more plot developement.
Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996)
Leprechaun in space
It's a leprechaun... in space... if that doesn't tell you what this is about, nothing will.
South Park (1997)
Downhill slope
Though the earlier shows were very good and entertaining, their more recent shows tend to be repetitive. The last tended to pertain mostly to pot culture, which was disappointing. However, they
seem to recapture some of their initial magic in the quarantine specials. I hope that in future Seasons they will continue this pattern. Though I understand that they are trying to reach new audience members, the show still needs to continue to grow with its current audience.
