Philly (2001–2002)
Casting was the problem
3 February 2003
I did see a few episodes of Philly and you could see it right away what was the problem with the show. In shows like Law And Order S.V.U , you see a perfect cast. This shows lacks it totally. Actors like Tom Everett Scott are unconvincing and uninteresting. All in all its not surprising that this show got cancelled, the writing and the directing seemed ok but this show did not work at all. Want to watch a good Law show. The Practice is it.

First Monday (2002)
Far below average
22 October 2002
When i first heard about the show i was excited because a show that includes James Garner, Charles Durning and Joe Mantegna must be great. After watching severall shows i have now finally given up, this show clearly shows that good cast alone does not make a good show. Basically the show is all about Joe Mantegna who plays Justice Novelli is new in the supreme court and he always seems to have the decisive vote, IN EVERY SINGLE SHOW. His assistants who research his cases all compete on having their influence on the vote and it gets very irritating after a while. The biggest problem with the show is obviously the writing, is poor by any standards. This show has major problems if it is to survive beyond this season.

That '70s Show (1998–2006)
Just Enjoy It
19 October 2002
This show is one of my favourite comedys on T.V. You should not miss one episode. The cast is brilliant and Topher Grace is without a doubt one of the most talented and promising actors today. It does seems strange that this show is any good because the writing is at times awful and there is not really much going on but still the show works great because of the actors and the setting. Thats why i say, just enjoy it.

Getting better
14 October 2002
Some months ago i wrote a review og CSI and my one line summary was that it was a very bad show. That was after seeing the very first episodes and i have to admit that this show is getting alot better and it does not deserve to be called a very bad show. We are now into the second CSI season here in Iceland and William Peterson is head above the rest of the cast. Paul Guilfoyle or whatever his name is, is also very strong but does not appear that much in the show. The writing is great and the show is very well made, i do however still have a few problems with the show and that includes actor George Eads who plays Nick. I am sure he is a nice guy and all but he sure isnt more that a soap opera actor. To sum it up, this show is rather good and it does have the very best soundrack of all the shows today. The Who "who are you" a great song and good enough reason to watch the show. I am very excited about the new CSI:Miami , starring David Caruso and i am sure that the Miami show will be a hit, it does have another great soundtrack as well, The Who again with another great song.

Party of Five (1994–2000)
Very Overrated Show
25 January 2002
It amazes me that this show was on the air for 7 Season. The fans of this show keep talking about that this show is like real life, but its not. First of all the characters are overly dramatic, all they do is cry and moan. Neve Campbell is the only talent in this show but her character is not very interesting but then again none of the characters are. Matthew Fox will probably never get another t.v. role except on Guiding Light or Dawson´s Creek who is fast becoming another Party of Five show.

The District (2000–2004)
Very Promising
7 January 2002
The District aired for the first time in Iceland tonight and i have to say that i was highly impressed with the show. Craig T Nelson is excellent in his role and hopefully this show will get better and better. Law and Order is on the top of my list for police shows but this show is very promising. Keep up the good work.

Difficult Film For George Lucas
2 October 2001
Much was expected of this movie when it came out and when that happens, most people will be disapointed. As for this film it was very difficult to make for Lucas in my opinion. I tought it was ok when i first saw it but not GREAT. However as i have seen it severall times since then it has become pretty good. All sounds , visual effects and music are great as expected but that alone isn´t enough is it ? ? ? ?

Liam Neeson plays his part very well indeed as does Jake Lloyd as Anakin Skywalker and the Pod race is the highlight of the movie in my opinion. Natalie Portman is great as Queen Amidala cos she has the charm that is needed. Pernila August, Ian McDirmaid also have good roles and come out well in this movie.

The most sad thing about this move is the arrival of JAR JAR BINKS who tends to get on my nerves from time to time, altough he was a bit better the second time i saw this movie. The problem is that he propably plays the biggest role in this movie. Ewan McGregor gets very little to do as Obi Wan but that will change when The Attack Of The Clones will come out.

MY RATING - Not great but ok and well worth seeing

Still Very Good
2 October 2001
When i was a little kid this was my favourite movie, i just loved it , the trucks and the truckers were fantastic as wherer the car scenes.

I was in London at the end of september 2001 and this movie was on Channel 4. I had not seen this film for such a long time and i tought that there was no way that i could like this movie 15 years later, but to my surprise it had lost little of the charm it had.

MY RATING. Nothing bad about this film, just enjoy the ride.

The Contender (2000)

A Movie that starts off very well........
28 September 2001
When i saw the great actors who are in this movie, i expected much of it , and it started very well indeed. Jeff Bridges,Joan Allen,Gary Oldman, Sam Elliott and William Peterson are all great in their roles, the first 30 minutes the movie promises something special but an hour later that is ruined by a typical Hollywood ending. How they let this possible great movie be ruined like they did is beyond me.

Perfect Strangers (1986–1993)
One Of The Best T.V. show ever
28 September 2001
When growing up in the 80s this was one of my true favourite shows along with ALF. The combination of Mark-Linn Baker and Bronson Pinchot as the two cousins Larry And Balki is 10 out of 10. You will laugh show after show. Unfortunetly i didn´t see this show the last three years of it as Channel 2 in Iceland stopped broadcasting them in 1991. Hopefully Perfect Strangers will someday come out on VHS like Friends and Cheers have. Wonderful show.

That '70s Show (1998–2006)
Brilliant
27 September 2001
One of the best comedy shows out there, there really isn't anything negative about this show. The acting is great, the characters are very good and the actors work very well together. The clothing and the music is also excellent and well made.

A very bad show
14 September 2001
This show was recommended to me by a few people who said this show was great. However after watching several shows i did not think much of it. The idea of the show is very good, but incredible as that may sound the acting is not that great. I have always thought William Peterson was a fairly good actor but he is very bad in this show, and why?? He overplays is character in every show, always there with the right advise to people around him, and he solves every case with ease. Is co-actor are overactors to , the only exception being Paul Guilfoyle who is excellent in his role, actually for some strange reason he does not feature much in the show. Shows like Law and Order are far much better than this.
