Sumotherhood (2023)
Fun and a good insight into London's roadman scene
A triumphant return from Adam Deacon, Jazzie Zonzolo and an ensemble cast, the beginning is probably the weakest part but soon enough it begins to ramp up into utter madness and hijinks, another terrific performance from Richie Campbell as Tyrone and a stand out performance from Kobna Holdbrook-Smith make this a truly fun ride with plenty of tension, mixed in with some cringe comedy and some home truths regarding mental health issues, a worthy sequel. I only hope a trilogy may come to fruition at some point, as I would enjoy seeing them all on screen once again, glad Deacon has made it back onto the silver screen.
The Northman (2022)
Simply Epic.
Absolutely fantastic, even better the second viewing. My first initial watch had me staring at the screen in awe. On the second viewing I fully understood all the scenes and it really helped pull it all together, an understanding of viking culture and what prophecies and rituals they go through before battle and behind all their decision making makes you realise how great this film is. Astounding performances from Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Björk and Anya Taylor Joy really bring the screenplay to life in a way that grips you. Ethan Hawke also performed well but his appearance in the film is brief. Overall a fantastic viking epic tale of revenge.
Guns Akimbo (2019)
Explosive, Hilarious and Action packed
Another great performance from Radcliffe hadn't seen Samara Weaving (Nix) in anything before but she did a fantastic job of playing her character. An enjoyable load of fun and easy to watch.
