Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
It made me feel all the feels.
Rarely does a movie hit me hard and I go along for the ride. It made me feel all the feels. There so much to this movie. Evelyn and Joy relationship. The relationship with Evelyn and Gong. The relationship with Waymond. Even the relationsonship with Evelyn and Deirdre. Must people could find one of those to relate to.
The acting is GREAT. If you like "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" meets "The Matrix". I would probably like it. The editing, the writing and the jokes. Are all on point. I can see why some viewers would give it a 1 star. It wouldn't be everyone's type of movie. If you watch it. Just have fun. Its not everyday you will see those type of movie. The Rock scene is great.
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (2022)
Kristen Bell Kills it in this role
From the cover I not sure if I would have watched this. But since the auto play for the trailer come on. I was intrigued. A woman drinking problem and taken medicine. Then similar to Disturbia or that other movie. Kristen Bell sees someone being killed. With strategic characters, the character making up what she thinks happened in her mind when she stumbles on Clues. And not sure if she's being gaslighted. Your second guessing your self on this rollercoaster ride. I don't know if it was done on purpose but I love the characters get to work together again from the good place at least a few of them.
Dead Meat Podcast (2018)
Horror reviews and very informative
With James being the Host of Dead Meat. Chelsea makes the Dead Meat Podcast her own, with James as a co-host. The research, time and energy Chelsea puts in to this show. Clearly shows and brings this Dead Meat to life. The chemistry Chelsea and James have you would think they are married. Nudge Nudge Wink Wink.
The format isn't just a review on a movies. Chelsea dose such a great job researching information on horror. You learn a lot about filming, tricks how stuff was done. Sad stuff of things going wrong during making a movie. Some of my favorite episodes are (
60: Which Horror Character Are You?, 31: Horror Movie Gimmicks. ,62: "Cursed" Horror Films.)
Chelsea really like The Human Centipede. Because of their episode on The Human Centipede. I had a much more respect for the movie.
59: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)
I love that they talk about movies that weren't that great or well known Ghost Ship and Dead Silence. Spoiler the ship isn't a Ghost!
47: Ghost Ship.
57: Dead Silence.
Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019)
Don't juxtaposition the new and old shows. They are their own thing.
Just to be clear to the other reviews that were not happy with the show. "Lacked subtitles" Yes that can be a issue. But this rating is for the show not the DVD extras or subtitles. Save those complaints for Nickelodeon not IMDB.
Comparing this show to the 1994 "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Poeple don't seem to understand that Reboots and Remakes are their own thing. You can't compare them. It would be like compairing someone Dad to their Son. Different time, different people and different world.
The reviews for its for a very young audience. Are those adults really thinking Nickelodeon is making those show for them? No its for kids and teens.
The first episode cool idea. Showing some more back story of them finding a new member. Then giving them a test to see if they can even be invited. The first episode is a lot darker and scary then what 'AYAOTD', 'Goosebumps' or 'The NightmareRoom' ever did. Not compairing just saying.
The acting is fine. They are young actors. Watch some of your favorite actors when they started and new. That will be a juxtaposition.
