Ad Astra (2019)
Yet another violent propaganda
Murderers are made heroes by the injust system... Humanity will be destroyed by soulless scientists...
I am absolutely tired by those values forced into our minds, without any debate, logic or respect.
Also Brad Pitt seems to suffer alot playing in this.
Otherwise, i like the sights from moon and mars, the somehow funny comercials in astroports and corporate space race.
Fight scenes way too weird and way too long.
Ozark: Fire Pink (2020)
Tom Pelphrey and the frightening life
This episode makes me think about some relatives and people i used to know that i avoid because of their mental problems. I felt so sad and so dissatisfied with my behaviour...
This kind of acting, Pelphrey s, is so pure and violent, i cannot define it.
Gisaengchung (2019)
A wise Korean insight
This movie crowns all the relevant topics. Such a powerful combination of hatrid, detachment, irony. I dont see any eye opener, but an image from afar. Maybe an eye of the storm opener.
Every reply is well studied and crafted, but the play is powerful and natural due to the high performance - play and sets.
I ve found a very articulate speech, addressing topics like: global warming, Korean Reunification, the ... global enclavisation, the mistification of science, the blindness of the media (Park seemns to be involved with media or visual arts), the running from myths and fears (the ghost from the basement is a very complexe symbol), the dephts of the social construction - with it s double perspective (the rain as a disaster or entertainment).
I ll watch this movie several times, because the building is equally robust and opened to zooming and nuances.
The most, i admired the way it surpassed the cheap propaganda and obvious paths. No, this movie is for me a very complex essay on guilt and limits. Also, the tragedy dissolves in the web / the wave of infinite information.
Alien Warfare (2019)
No adults involved
Probably they asked some 12 y o to create a script. Then they forced some bearded guys to act like acting. And some weird chick with the face of (face off, remember?) Nicholas Cage.
I wonder If this had a budget, or used the money for some school proiect.
Quite funny, since i tried to find a trace of self irony. But.. none.
Edit: ending is cute, i really crave first encounters
Sex Education (2019)
Better propaganda
I allways like a good propaganda. Only some moments of obviousness (father protecting gay son with the shield of future creer, christian pre-sexual expertise), i can keep my breath and survive em. Three episodes seen, good quality of time, seems long and fulfiling series. Will see what comes next.
I like the acting, the humour, the wit of clichee puzzles.
Sorry for my language, never ever studied English, i just learn by myself. So zero grammar, lot of words, lack of adequacy, but thats the good part with this language, everyone understand everything. Sad, but true, like Metallica stated.
The Kominsky Method (2018)
Wise
Save us! Your world, your wisdom, your decency, your beauty, your contiguity, your naturality are art. However progressive we are, we must think that brute certitude and soliloquy are not the way to peace. Art is just a wise whisper.
