Overland Pacific (1954)
Good Jock movie
Noted stunt man holds his own as lead actor. Does his own stunts despite lead status and age doesn't hurt this movie. Pat Hogan is actually a native American and cast as one is unusual for that time. Peggy is young here without the skill she shows in lawman series with John v Russell.
Ghost Town (1956)
Above average stagecoach movie
John Smith and co star Robert Fuller from the Laramie series both should have been bigger stars. Although reported shot in only 6 days the is above average. Has gold fever, gun running and lots of passenger interactions to dissect. John's
dimples almost carry the show. Enjoy the dust.
Six Black Horses (1962)
Almost a repeat
Kept thinking I had heard a few lines before. After reading about Kennedy writing this and Ride Lonesome quite a bit was repeated. The falling horse, beautiful blond
e, Indians and many lines. This lacks the banter between Robert's and Scott making it fall short.
Pasión de hombre (1989)
Quin makes the movie
Watched him from a thin young man grow into the actor that played a fantastic grandfather.
Kept expecting tragedies to accur. Quinn's role as a disturbed artist is almost frightening. Such a shame this movie isn't shown more.
The Big Land (1957)
Enjoy Alan and David Ladd
Too many good points already listed. Good redemption movie about beef, wasted time and sleeping past 5AM. Easy to believe business could ever be so simple. Easy to see how Alan Ladd became so popular.
Comanche (1956)
Dana Andrews can act
This movie gets better each time I watch it. Lots of action and maybe 4-5 kisses to balance all the fighting. Andrews is impressive on horseback and and there are some scenes that are humorous. At times he is actually joking. This isn't as impressive as Pillars in the sky. That movie actually had native American actors but this is from 7 years earlier. Take this as completely fiction and it's a decent movie. Enjoyed the trivia sections for both movies.

The Bravados (1958)
Peck, scenery and soundtrack are great
The soundtrack grabs the attention first. The camera work and scenery is awesome. Hard to imagine any Falls that are higher or more dangerous. Peck chases and kills the criminals that he wrongly believed killed his wife. Great movie if you can overlook Joan and the goofy girl that plays Peck's daughter.
Pillars of the Sky (1956)
Jeff Chandler and Ward Bond are great
Chandler 's voice range and his facial expressions were perfect for this movie as always. Ward Bond was great also as a minister and Doctor that tthe Indians respect. Army decided to build a fort making a battle that kills the doctor and many soldiers. The scouts are great especially Timothy. Each viewing will
be enjoyed. Even soundtrack awesome. A few Individuals playing Indians are actually Indians.
