Lead Me Home (2021)
What should we feel about the homeless?
This documentary tries to reverse of voyeuristic glance that we might have on the homeless and tries to make us feel wrong for having houses or getting to eat food. What the documentary fails to achieve is portray the depth of going through a crisis like homelessness. Instead, the questioning and attitude of the people present in the film often come off as silly and tedious.
A film about homeless doesn't need to guild us into thinking that we are the one who are making them stay on the streets. Just because someone has a house doesn't mean that they aren't going through any other problems in life.
Also, the editing and choice of music is quite shoddy and you can fill that they somehow wanted to make the documentary feasible for the young generation.
Penguin Town (2021)
Give me more penguins!!!
When it comes to documentaries, especially those about animals often tend to be boring. However, this was a tear jerker and a emotional ride as we saw the penguins nest, have their troubles, and finally the chicks were able to graduate. The narration is top class and it helps to retain your interest throughout the series. Mr. Bougainvillea is the best dad ever!! Go watch it guys.
