Boudica (2023)
An Insult to History
Where do I start with something thus bad?
Boudica, and iconic, historical, English warrior Queen, has a French accent.
The actress is built like someone with an eating disorder. None of these things give any credibility to the film.
We have a sword that changes appearance, floats and rings aloud.
Why anyone would want to decimate the memory of such an heroic figure is beyond belief.
I get that it was low budget, but that doesn't mean you should ruin what could have been another version of a classic film.
I can only hope that the director and producer only ever work at Subway going forward. The whole thing was embarrassing.
SAS: Red Notice (2021)
Exasperating
There is a lot of good British talent in this film which is why I gave it a generous 3 stars . There are so many holes in the action scenes and technical aspects, that they obviously got someone from the TA canteen to advise. Should be renamed SAS Swiss Cheese.
Rogue (2020)
I've seen worse.
Yes I've seen worse, but only just. The acting was mostly terrible, the CGI was worse. Not even great acting could have saved this film. The worst disappointment for me was seeing Philip Winchester, one of the best action heroes from British TV (Strike Back), playing second fiddle to Megan Fox who should never have been cast in an action film.
Amulet (2020)
Gave me Narcolepsy
I had good expectations for this film given it has Imelda Staunton. I haven't been this disappointed in a long time. I should admit I only watched 40 minutes, but it was the dullest, most painful 40 minutes of my life. I can only imagine Imelda Stauton wishes her name was never associated with it.
The Christmas Chronicles (2018)
Christmas Classic
Darby Camp (Kate) could easily have ruined this film with her overly precocious, annoying acting. Fortunately, the film was saved by Kurt Russell and a superb supporting cast. Funny and entertaining,
The Debt Collector (2018)
its a must
If you like your films a bit corny, with lots of action and reminiscent of the great 80's action films, this is for you. Louis Mandylor and Scott Adkins make a surprisingly good team. Having been an Adkins fan since Undisputed 3, it is good to see him in a part that is more worthy of his talent. hopefully his days doing poor B rated films is behind him. Keep up the good work.
Life of the Party (2018)
Words fail me.
This is the worst kind of film. A chick flick, lets tell all women how empowered they are, masquerading as a comedy. I laughed twice, both at the main characters friend Christine, she was the highlight of this film. I stand corrected, the highlight was the end.
