Finch (2021)
Bravo Light Designers
Overall I enjoyed the movie, found it moving and comforting. I see some people on here complaining about the cgi but actually I found the cgi to be impressive. There were moments when I forgot it was CGI (I am specifically talking about Jeff the Robot here, the landscape cgi was mediocre.) But i think that comes down to the lighting technicians and designers doing an excellent job blending Jeff into the world with the natural lighting and coloring.
Tom Hanks also performs brilliantly as usual, not a complaint about his performance from me.
Yes, the movie is cliched and easily predictable but I still enjoyed it.
Sick Note (2017)
Interesting to say the least
I started watching because of Rupert and I have to say is acting is great, doesn't disappoint. It was also wonderful to see Lindsey Lohan back on the screen. However I would describe this as a show to watch while you are doing a puzzle: doesn't need you to be fully engaged at the screen. It was definitely weird and lots of madness, every character seems to be messed in the head one way or another. I definitely think show would go over well with certain types of people but for me, I never fully enjoyed myself while watching it. I'm not holding out for a season 3.
Peaky Blinders (2013)
Slow to start but still worth the watch
I didn't really get into it until around Season 3, that was when I finally started connecting to the characters. Acting is great and the stylization for the period is great. It can be a bit slow at time, I can never seem to hold all of my attention to it but when the plot thickens and things escalates, it's a wild and fun ride.
Nobody (2021)
A nice and quick action flick to enjoy from start to finish
I watched the movie because of the glorious Bob Odenkirk and left impressed as usual. Besides the movie itself, watching all the behind the scenes of how hard Bob trained and prepared for this role really payed off. His fight choreography is excellent and overall is a very fun and exhilarating ride. I love a good movie that hits around 90 minutes.
The Courier (2020)
Great movie for Cold War flick newbies
I imagine most of the bad reviews on here are from people who must really love spy movies or Cold War movies. I have barely watched any of those kinds of movies and found this one to be very good. I was on edge for most of it (in a good way) and Benedict Cumberbatch did a superb job as always.
If you aren't normally into spy movies, give The Courier a try!
