The Resort: The Disillusionment of Time (2022)
Time
Time stands still for no man unless you're two teenage love birds. I think everyone knew the outcome of this show and I'll be the first to say that I didn't want any other outcome. Nick Offerman's tears when he hugged his daughter had me choked up, that was some incredible and powerful acting for a short scene. The pool scene freaked me out at first but in a good way. Emma was tempted by it as if her daughter was in that pool waiting for her but she chose to be selfless and saved Violet and Sam. Is 15 years gone in a blink of an eye worth seeing someone you loved once again after they passed on? That's a question that's stuck with me after watching this show along with, How many of us can't let go of the past and how much of that is truly taking away from enjoying the blessings we have today?
There are questions about the pool and Alex that I wish were answered but overall this show was very good. There was a cliffhanger at the end and I don't know what the producers plan to do but I hope they give us another cosmic mystery.
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (2022)
Better than Do America
Plot is better. The jokes are better. B&B interpreting white privilege as they did is gold. I thought I was going to turn it off because this type of propaganda is actually being vomited out in universities and Hollywood but Judge finds a way to be neutral and make B&B do what they do best when something political arises. Off topic of the movie but Read the book Color, communism and common sense. Was written by a former communist and shows how Marxist's hijacked the movement of Dr. King and Malcolm X in the 50s and 60s. They've gone full throttle since then and now almost all of Hollywood and Gen Z has drank the cool aid.
UFO gakuen no himitsu (2015)
Cult
This anime is taking ideas from a dangerous cult I once was in. I would have loved this 5 years ago. The outward appearance of the new age cult looks like love and light and harmless but it is not. Once you start to go down that rabbit hole your mind starts to warp with multiple contradicting philosophies and you'll find many of these folks to not believe in absolute truth. I have known and seen many people totally loose their minds such as myself. They can become schizophrenic and there's many reasons for this but one major reason is when people start to channel the "Elohim" or angels. These beings are not who they claim to be. They are evil and they absolutely hate Jesus Christ as he claims to be, which is God and the savior. This review would turn into a book if I explain even further but you can research it yourself or buy the book "The second coming of the new age". The author was in the new age and had a website that made him over 30k a month writing new age articles. One day he threw it all away when he realized Jesus is God and he had been deceived. You can find many sub cults coming from this ideology where suicides and murders happened. Like Heavens gate and smaller local stories where people changed so much they got violent. Look up the Jacqueline Ares jail interview, her warped mind will give you an in depth idea on what happens to many people when they get stuck in the new age philosophy for years. Evil demon beings are real and they are more intelligent than you can imagine and their goal is to spread as much confusion as possible and keep you from reaching Gods throne in good grace. Spiritual warfare is real and it's happening right now, everyday with every single one of us.
The Neverending Story (1984)
If you're a parent
If you're a parent and haven't shown your kids this movie yet then you are doing a great disservice to them. For a 1984 movie, the special effects and art direction is superb for that time. I can only handle 80s special effects with a few films and even though you can tell it's made in the 80s, the special effects and cinematography makes you forget that you're watching an older movie and you just focus on the story telling. Rarely that happens with 80s movies and the special effects chips away at the story. This movie is truly a timeless neverending masterpiece of a story.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Wow
This movie was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about it. The pace didn't drag at all. The jet scenes were breathtaking. Everyone should see this movie.
Knight and Day (2010)
Movie never gets old
I've watched this at least 4 times. It's not a serious movie and it's not trying to be. It's hilarious, good character development, charming leads with some of the best chemistry and awesome action. The pace does quite well. I honestly believe anyone rating this below a 6 are not fun at party's. This movie knows what it is and it excels because of that.
Spiderhead (2022)
Acknowledge acknowledge acknowledge
I enjoyed this movie, More so than others and was quite surprised by the ratings. Chris plays the perfect psychotic narcissist scientist. Miles Teller is easy to empathize with and did amazing as usual. The music is on point. The whole premise of this movie is believable, just look into the CIA's past on experimenting with acid on people that had no idea what they were given. There is no length unprincipled scientists will go to get the exact results desired in their hypothesis. Give this movie a shot.
Holes (2003)
Nostalgic
One of the most rewatched films I had as a kid. I was inspired by the bonds formed in this movie. It's wholesome and beautiful with a great back story into the past. I will never get how people could score this movie below a 7. Perhaps they need to form friendships that are as strong as the ones in the film to understand.
Knowing (2009)
Originality
In a world filled with sequels and prequels and the same rehashed stories we see every year this movie does stand out as being a original apocalyptic movie. The ending will throw some people off and that's what's great about it.
Severance (2022)
New favorite show
I wish I could be severed so I could watch this masterpiece again with fresh eyes. Truly a new experience I've been wanting with Sci fi since Black Mirror. This show is better than Black Mirror. The season Finale could be the icing on the cake and can't wait for it. Even though I can't be severed (which I would never do) this show has great rewatch value because of Ben Stillers directing. The characters are very well written and how the story unfolds keeps you interested all the way through. Adam Scott truly surprised me with this and can't see anyone else playing this role. Ben also surprised me as we all know he's been known for acting and directing comedy movies. Ben went through a tough time some years ago (read his esquire interview) and then Zoolander 2 flopped causing him to change gears and if it hadn't flopped I'm afraid we wouldn't have this show so kind of glad it did. Fantastic job all around cast and crew! Truly feel proud of what you created because it's a 10/10 for me and that's coming from a huge sci fi nerd.
On - drakon (2015)
Woaha
I gush over fantasy movies. I love being transported. This was a beautiful epic love story that I enjoyed thoroughly. There's one part of the movie where the music doesn't fit with the rest of the movie that threw me off and kind of ruined the vibe but the vibe is picked right up after the music ends which is why it gets a 9 instead of a 10 for me. I'm sure many people won't mind it but Im obsessed with movie scores and probably more critical than the average person. This movie is Definitely rewatchable and is one of my favorite foreign films. Great job everyone involved!
Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (2016)
More please
They need to make more of these Final Fantasy CG movies. It's beautiful. The story could have been put together more fluently but I rather enjoyed this piece of art more than I thought I was going to.
The Batman (2022)
My goodness
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. Not one scene would I cut out from the film. The runtime didn't bother me at all and thought it was going to end later than it did just by reading other reviews. What I love about this movie is that it feels more realistic than the Nolan Trilogy which is an incredible feat.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Just no.
Watched the trilogy and played the games. This film was garbage. So much vagueness On the world building and story. Felt no stakes or intimidation by the new architect. 60 years in the future from the last film and hardly touched on what happened and left more questions. The film being self aware and meta was cringe and not clever as they thought it would be. It depends solely on nostalgia rather than story and continuation of the plot. Lana is a terrible writer. I even read that the original matrix was sued by a woman that said the wachowskis plagiarized her. Going from perfect to this dumpster fire makes me believe it. Especially with Jupiter ascending added to the list of garbage writing. I don't understand how anyone could like this that is a huge fan like me. Many people feel the same thank God so hopefully Warner fire some people and never let Lana write a thing again unless she comes out with some short films that brings confidence back.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
I'm giving it a ten because it did what we wanted
It's rare I see a film for its category do it's job. It hit every note you wanted in a SpiderMan superhero genre film and then more. The writing was excellent with some minor plot holes left to the imagination which was perfectly fine. I laughed and I teared up and the action was way better than the last 3 MCU movies. Take note every producer out there making a superhero movie, this is the new bar. Service your fans and stop adding subtle whokeness to the script.
Cowboy Bebop (2021)
Love it!
I love sci fi and this is amazing! I'm familiar with the original and I'm getting the same vibe. In a live action it's important to capture the vibe and some resemblance to the characters which we get. There's no such thing as a perfect adaptation to the original if you're expecting to get a perfect ORIGINAL adaptation lol so people rating it low expecting it to be this perfect thing conceived in their mind are very naive. Hell, even people rating it not knowing what the anime is and vibe is shouldn't probably be rating it cus they don't like the vibe or music or whatever. It messes with the integrity of the rating and how you should review a show, especially an adaptation.

Hans Zimmer: Live in Prague (2017)
Amazing!
I wanted to cry through out. Hearing my favorite pieces from my favorite movies in this beautiful performance is breathtaking. His new music for DUNE is his best to me because I never been transported to another world so vividly like in that of Dune. Hans is not just a national treasure, but a world treasure for all to enjoy his music.
Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Very good
Beautiful animation and a great story so far. Can't wait for the rest, not to mention the steampunk makes me screech like a little girl. Netflix needs to make more quality animation like this and that Witcher movie.
Dune (2021)
It's Gorgeous
People complaining about the pace makes me feel like we're living with simpletons that have short attention spans due to their endless swiping on tik tok. There is something about the desert that thrills me so others might be over the slow beautiful shots like we see throughout Dennis's other movies. This is story telling and this is Dune. The next film will have picked up the pace with more intense action through out then the first film. It's like watching the first season of GOT, it's slow and its building the narrative to the point its explosive with epicness. The first film does set up the world very well and characters and once that 2nd film comes out, people with the short attention spans will come to appreciate the narrative building of the first.
Also watch this twice if you feel like the story seems complicated. It's really not. The book Dune inspired Star Wars and GOT so If you like those two things then you'll be surprised on how uncomplicated the story is in the telling of this first movie.
Idk what other reviewers feeling no soul in the movie is about bc I'm definitely feeling soul. Perhaps some people think Timothèe is bland and Id like to say he's supposed to be 15, the son of a powerful dynasty, sees possible visions of the future, understands he's in a position of great responsibility and so there is this reservedness I appreciate from his acting. He's reticent and self contained, and ultimately the story is about Paul becoming a man and making his own choices and just like with any man or woman that is when their character arch shines.
Intrusion (2021)
Was here for Logan
Go watch Upgrade or the Invitation with Logan. Fantastic movies of his! This was a miss because it's predictable. Needed better writers. Make the twist actual surprising and misdirect us viewers.
Annette (2021)
Adam Driver whyyyyy?
I like musicals but these songs are so very bad.
The very first song should be the very first clue to run very fast away from this production. I have a headache just from watching the first 20 minutes. Also Adam's comedy sketches is like a cheap knockoff of Bo Burnhams act. I didn't laugh a single time.
Also Adam... you really shined in Logan Lucky. I don't know what it is but all I've been seeing is garbage movies being pumped out and this musical/movie is the cherry on top.
Love and Monsters (2020)
Who doesn't love Dylan?
Dylan needs to be in more frieken fantastic movies like this one! I'm giving it a 10 because I found myself enjoying every second of the movie. That infinite movie with Mark Wahlberg... the best parts were Dylan and that movie had like 2 mins of him. NEVER DO THAT AGAIN HOLLYWOOD. Dylan da new action guy I want to see.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
FUN STUFF
This was far superior to the 2016 version and Birds of Prey. Warner Bros did what every studio should do... Give complete freedom and surplus of cash to a creative genius like James Gunn. Fox pretty much did it with Deadpool and ''twas amazing. Disney you better take note and scratch The version of Star Wars you gave us and fire Kathleen Kennedy and give us what fans deserve. Good job Warner Bros and James Gunn!
1408 (2007)
Deserves at least a 7.5
I haven't seen too many horror films like this and there needs to be more. There's probably a good psychological supernatural movie every 2 years and there needs to be dozens lol.
