The Cheetah Girls 2 (2005 TV Movie)
8/10
Much Better than the First....
31 January 2007
I watched the first movie, and thought it lacked a good story...though the songs seemed catchy-I got over it quickly. When I heard about the sequel though,I was abit unsure until hearing that it was way better. I had to agree, this was a lot better. The story begins when the Cheetah girls arrive in Spain to compete in a music festival where each girl gets caught up-will the girls be able to stick together? I think for them, just being somewhere different worked wonders and made a huge difference on the focus of the story. It's a very cute movie with a load of great music sort of a Hiphop/pop blend along with great dance moves that you would just love...I'd compare it to High School Musical-but *way* better. The cast worked well with their roles, though the movie had it's faults at some point(I have no idea where..)I think it did a pretty good job.

If you liked High School Musical-watch it. If you'd like to watch a fun,musical...um..movie,then watch it!

This is a great movie for people of all ages and may satisfy the teens and kids most. My ratings:G for great.

Sadly disappointing.
31 January 2007
I loved the first movie of Pocahontas, but when I got to watch the sequel-let's just say I was very disappointed. The animation wasn't great, the characters seemed to come out of some wacky cheap budget cartoon...it just didn't look or even relate to the first movie at all,I was sitting there and thinking "Is this really Pocahontas?" ...it just seemed so unlike the first in so many ways...no magic in there at all...The music wasn't doing any favors either. The story's about Pocahontas going to London to see the king,to convince him to stop the war between her people and his.

This is just another example of a bad sequel...i suggest you to stick to the first movie.

Overall: It's not worth watching, really...unless you feel bold enough to.

Bee Gees: One Night Only (1997 TV Special)
10/10
If You Like The BeeGees..you should definitely watch this!
11 January 2007
We own a BeeGees Concert video and i can tell you, that it one of the best performances that the BeeGees have done together. It's just an amazing piece of musical footage and the vocals are well, legendary! I'm thirteen and i still like going back to those times. I mean really..you can't find high voices like that anymore when it comes to modern music. The songs are great and there are also special appearances of celebrities at the concert, people like Celine Dion as well as Olivia Newton-John from the musical "Grease".

So if you like BeeGees, you should definitely get this or it would be a "tradgedy" not to do so.

Mulan II (2004 Video)
6/10
Nice but not as great as the first.
6 January 2007
I watched Mulan II and i will have to say that it was abit disappointing. Mulan is back, and is engaged to be married to her fiancé,General Shang. When all of a sudden, they are given a mission to escort three Chinese princesses abroad. The music is great, but the animation was weak and at times went overboard with the details. The voice cast were'not as good as the first movie with Eddie Murphy out of the picture as Mushu and the other originals as well. But,i loved the music, the exceptional characters and how the story went. It wasn't as dramatic as the first but there was some parts that truly reminded me of the first. Overall,it's not a bad sequel...and i rate it a good ol' 6 out of 10.

Definition of "Cute Classic"
1 January 2007
It's been awhile since I've watched Winnie The Pooh, and I was abit unsure about watching another again when my sisters rented it out. The thing is that I loved it! It's a very cute movie with cute original characters and It has a Very nice story and I don't have a problem when watching it again. It begins where all of a sudden there's been some strange happenings in the Hundred Acre Wood and Winnie the pooh and his friends try to get to the bottom of it,only to find out that Heffalumps (Big elephants) have moved in. The rest I leave to you to find out,but overall it's cute, fun and something that you can never be too old to watch. So yeah, watch it...it's definitely something that kids as well as the rest will enjoy. PS: Note how many "cutes" I've put in,if it's more than 2 then it's worth a movie ticket.

Okay for me.
1 January 2007
I got this movie basically because it looked pretty good as well as interesting...the whole story about 2 brothers with 2 very different outlooks on things where one becomes a preacher and the other a famous rap-star. And the whole musical promise that came with it got me to watch it. It was overall, okay....but i just couldn't see why they needed to add the swearing and the sexual reference. I mean,it's supposed to be a Gospel movie and i thought it went too far when the swearing came much more than a couple of times. But the music was great as well as some of the funny parts. Overall,it could have been a very inspirational movie...they could have done better. I'd rate it a 5 out of 10.

The Wild (2006)

Realistic Animation makes up 4 it.
8 December 2006
This movie wasn't so bad...but it was a lot like the past movies i watched like Madagascar and so such. But the thing that made the movie well remembered was how realistic the animation was..i loved the way it looked even though the story wasn't at it's best. It's definitely something that younger watchers would enjoy.

But just think before you pay up tickets to watch...it's worth a ticket and a look, like i said the animation is great and the funny bits make up for it as well as the characters and the terrific voice cast(I loved Benny the squirrel and the um,Koala),but overall it's just something i'd watch once not twice.

A "Real" Movie to watch
8 December 2006
I watched this movie and liked it a lot. Really, when i first heard about it i wasn't as impressed but now i'm just glad that i managed to watch it. It's a nice story about Akeelah Anderson who wants to live her dreams as a top speller in the spelling competition. I don't see it as racism in anyway but just an inspiring story on how everything and everyone comes together in the end. It's not based on any negative issues and the story manages to stay positive throughout. I mean nowadays we face a lot of negativity towards others and this movie shows that there is always a way to reach our dreams and handle the pressure ...so yeah, watch it because it's worth your money, just think positive:)
