Jeepers Creepers Returns (2023)

Completely beyond my expectations.

The original Jeepers Creepers scared me a lot when it was released, and i´ve seen all of them, so i was eager to see this fan film, and it´s better than the last one and it doesn´t take much to be better, since the beginning of the movie me and my wife looked at each other and said (this is gonna be good) and we were right, the warlock is a creepy guy saying some strange words to rise of the creeper, once he is out of his tomb, we him tracking down humans again, like before.

When you think the movie ends, there´s still room, for a post credits scene, maybe there´s a sequel down the line, one can only hope, after this one.

Halloween the Legacy (2022)

The shape is back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent sequel, I liked the pacing of this movie. I think director did a very solid job, because at running time 1 h 21 min this movie barely dragged and was involving till the end, and i really liked the ending, it was scary.

It starts to really show the obsession that David Loomis has in killing Michael like is father did on the official movies.

I love this movie a lot and will watch it every year on Halloween.

The film moves at an excellent pace, wasn´t this movie a short movie ? The extended tv version is so awesome, i can even explain in words, after that awful halloween ends, only this one, to save my halloween.

The Call 3: End of the Line (2022)

A good supernatural thriller

Saw this one last night, bought it on dvd and it was a satisfying watch.

First the director knows how to construct an action film, the cinematography is first rate and the editing superb he just doesn't know when to stop. There are car chases, supernatural demons, invasion at a police building, and innumerable shootouts.

The director pulls off some nasty mind trips on the character Caetano, because he doesn´t really know what´s happening to him, his he crazy or not ? I liked the scene when he his dreaming about the killer and the purifier kills a girl, and then he his shot by Caetano, as he awakens from that dream in sweat, grabing his gun at the desk, scared out of his mind.

The horror effects are sweet, the soundtrack is good.

It has a creepy vibe and very well done plot.

Buy it.

Sith Wars: Episode I - The Return of the Sith (2021)

Terrific fan service to all that love the darkside of the force.

This has to be the purist connection to a Star Wars movie than any that has been made before, Sith Wars is here to stay and i hope for many years.

The action, is thrilling and has a real sense of purpose.

10/10.

Halloween: Prodigal Son (2021)

Heck Yeah!

Well, what a surprise... I actually LIKED this one.

Director Rui Constantino takes cues from the first film and returns "Halloween" to its roots, in the process creating a much better flowing and entertaining movie than any of the situations that occurred in the other movies. Also, this movie sets a precedent by introducing actually realistic characters (not all, but most of them) that aren't entirely stupid and that you care about whether they die or not! This results in a more tightly structured thriller that actually entertains, rather than merely leading cattle to slaughter. And if you're the type to pay attention to such things, it already has a gripping storyline.

I going to give this movie 8 out 10.

Jaws Returns (2021)

The original is a classic, but this one packs a punch

Jaws Returns opens up with 2 divers exploring underwater caves, when they are attacked by the shark, but as it gets going it really cranks up the tension, featuring some really good, tense moments.

Things get better again when the chief is warned by the leader of the fisherman and some other guy, that people are missing, he then hires some guy in (Quint mode) to hunt the shark, but this guy is nowhere near the performance of Robert Shaw, well he tries but fails in doing it so.

There are plenty of scary moments, especially in the scene of the surfer been killed by Jaws.

Overall I'd definitely recommend this to fans of the original.

The Thing Returns (2021)

Frozen horror sequel

The characters are smart and likable, and the setting is fantastic for a horror movie. Another thing is the effects which were really great, the best thing about it is that you cannot really tell who is an imitation and who is still human, because the film displays so many paradoxical hints that lead you into a totally wrong direction. To be honest, despite having watched it three times and paying close attention to it, I still don't know if the two survivors are in fact human or just alien imitation, a near perfect performance by Doc, pushes this movie to another level.

It's remarkable and a fantastic pandemic companion.
