Mayans M.C. (2018–2023)

When you run out of money

I binged all the episodes of Mayans except for 5, then I hopped to SOA, watched the whole series, and came back to check out the last 5 episodes.

Sure, I followed the SOA back in the day from the start, and after that, there were a few episodes, but I considered it to be a bit too Bold and Beautiful with leather vests type of series. Many things were believable, but many didn't correlate with reality at all. One thing is for sure: it was sponsored by Harley, Marlboro (perhaps ;) ), and Levi's.

However, the Mayans was different. It had a different feeling, and I liked the first 3 seasons. I actually liked it. I think it was the fourth when I, a bit, lost my appetite as the storyline seemed to be figured out on the fly. The building of EZ Reyes's character was decent, but it might have been better. Especially the last season's murderous head of the vicious MC did not convince especially when he was considered to be "a rat" from the start. A dude who has proven himself hundreds of times to be the toughest person and best leader of the Mayans was somehow still considered to be a rat. I seriously doubt that any member at that point couldn't care less what he has ever done, nothing could weigh out what he has been doing. At the same time, the character development of Angel was poor and he changed into another person during the series, just like Galindo. It's a salad.

As a sad result of putting down a series, probably because of money, it ended like it did. I assume they weren't sure until the end - and I mean the producers. Well, there's room for a women's MC series, what do you think? ;)

Queen of the South (2016–2021)

High-level brain pain

This series underestimates the viewer's intelligence. It's written probably for 10-year-old kids. My marathon has taken a year as I have to put this away when my brains get sore enough, but finally, I'm done with it.

But it's good to watch while you're working. Just let it run in the background and use your brain for work. Or surfing, shopping, etc.

Yes, these things happen. Or at least we think so. Some do, and some don't. Check this out like a book, use your imagination to fill in the blanks.

But don't claim this is a good series, please, as it's not. It doesn't make much sense. Nothing makes much sense.

The Adam Project (2022)

Did I watch it? I don't remember tomorrow

It's just another Ryan Reynolds movie where he acts Ryan Reynolds. No plot, nothing new, nothing fancy, everything copied and seem before (even the "plot").

It's ok to press the play button and start reading the news, that's why 3/10, otherwise 2/10.

But if your electrical bill is already high, I suggest you skip this one.

Reacher (2022– )

Entertaining, but..

IF this series will continue, please hire a choreographer who understands something about tactical fighting.

Experienced military specialists don't fight like show wrestlers, they prefer kali/escrima, krav maga, etc, Reacher was useless in various scenes where anyone having some military and/or reap fighting experience would have acted very different way. Not to mention how he moves around and so on. This was ok back in the day (the 90s) but in 2020... No.

I also wondered if there were more scenes of Reacher trying to talk with his mouth full of something or his t-shirt off, I guess it was 50/50 :D

And if he is a giant, I am too. He is as tall as an average danish dude.

Yet, it was entertaining. It could have been more.

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)

Let's build a tower for observing on top of a mountain, but without a lightning rod. Let's run through the open field at the only moment when the lightning strike. The ground? This movie is entertaining but full of flaws. Most of us are not retarded, please respect that fact 😅

And why? Why did she jump? Why did the wind change? No gear for breathing?

Thanks to the excellent actors, however, this was worth watching. There's nothing The Punisher couldn't do, but obviously he or his wife knew nothing about prepping. But it doesn't really matter as you need to switch your brain off before diving into the jar of cheese puffs.

Mirage (2020)

90's stuff

Simply put - nothing is believable, unless you are a very simple person and you desperately wish that the world would work the way it's presented in this series.

These people work in the field of security? Believe it or not. Spies? Sure. Tsunami? What? 15 years, sure?

Who wrote this? Who directed this? We know who acted in this, and that's a shame. Yeah, it was the Viking dude camouflaged with a baseball cap that didn't fit his head, and then a bunch of various amateurs.

Despite of all this I managed to watch this till the end. This is because I've watched everything else. Already during the first episode, I had to switch to the moron mode so that I'd get through it, but this disaster continued with even worse plot twists one after other and it looked like it every episode was written a day before they shot it, but hey what can you do if you don't have anything else to do.

Clive Standen, I'm going to forgive you this time and hope you're going to make it. That's purely because of your high level of coolness in the Vikings. Like in the X-files, I want to believe.

Homeland (2011–2020)

Peter Quinn, Rupert Friend

Amazing actor and probably one of the coolest characters I've seen in a long time in any series.

Rupert Friend is equipped with the weirdest and coolest charisma and he fits the role extremely well. I wish I'll soon witness him in similar roles in movies or series, where ever, please. Otherwise I'll just have to watch couple of seasons again.

I wish he would have stayed in this series till the end. No spoilers here, you can see it clearly from IMDb that he is not acting in every episode. This is something the people writing this series could have written some other way.

Yeah, the series is ok otherwise as well, but without him it's like food without salt or pepper, both.

Zack Snyder?

Well, that became obvious during the beginning of the movie. Endless start, listening to a ear melting song while watching his name shown multiple times ..while watching the same scenes we've seen at least tens of times in every single zombie movie and series.

He didn't invent a wheel again. Instead, he shows us a wheel from the same perspective we've seen it endlessly.

Why bother? Okay, if you don't have anything else to do, this'll consume your time while you are surfing with your phone.

It's a 2 star movie, but with decent actors and directing, I'll give it 4. Otherwise it's the same again, again, again, again and once again, there's absolutely nothing you haven't seen yet. There's everything you have seen, so if you love clichées, it's your movie.

The Blacklist (2013–2023)

Brainless series for brainless fans

I just watched/listened (40/60) the first four episodes and the fifth is running while I'm writing this. It's just one of a kind corny series, agents make so brainless decisions - not often but all the time and then there's, of course, a super intelligent super criminal who knows eeeeverything about everything.

It's an excellent, brainless series for brainless fans, I assume it's watchable just because of that; you can work or surf with your phone and let this stuff run in the background if you feel alone or need sounds and light to comfort you ;)

This is for you, if you're too clever to handle CSI, X-Files or other 90s stuff and you need something like that to make you feel very smart, or if you need some brainless time like I do.

Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)

This is clearly the crappiest spider man movie ever made. Everyone acting in this should be shamed of themselves, except Samuel L. Jackson, as his speciality is acting in a b-class movie.

All 10/10's and 9/10's seem to be fake, bought reviews? I've never seen so clear fakes in IMDb.

Van Helsing (2016–2021)

Ok to watch until 4th season

It's amazing, how this series flops. Originally I gave it a six as it was sort of fun to watch. Way too high rating.

First you have super trained and powered Van Helsings and other persons who can fight anything and everything, but 2 seconds later or during the next episode they are totally helpless and can't even take a gun off from old granny. The same people heal from gunshots almost immediately but can't do anything to a soldier with a stun baton ;D

Poorly written, total waste of time starting from the 4th season. Just watch 4th season and 10th episode and you hope you'd never started to watch this series. It just makes you angry. And the fight scenes.. where's the choreography? yep, it literally doesn't exist. Choreographer was probably having a day, week, month or a year off.

V-Wars (2019)

Omg, vampires.

When you can't figure out anything, absolutely anything else, make a new series about vampires. Congratulations of the 103248938493842923th vampire series, but hey, this time they did it better than previously.. yeah nope.

The first 20 mins were ok, after that the series showed its teeth ;D

Probably ok for a Sunday set, that is if you've already seen all the other series Bold & Beautiful included.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

Poorly written and directed

Well, this is not a review. It's an opinion.

I simply have nothing else to write here, the movie was pointless, poorly directed and written, I have no idea (except money) why this was made.

I gave it 5 while checking some actors details from IMDB while watching, now after 1:08h I had to lower the score to 2 and try to express my feelings here if someone can save him or herself from watching this miserable movie; I'd rather watch some other b-class movie with unknown than one with known actors.

This movie was very entertaining, I loved the jokes.

I don't really understand how The God of Thunder could be electrocuted with something, but I guess that was a joke as well, I just didn't get it :D
