Dare Me (2019–2020)

Very good show, but not for everyone.

Interesting story showing complicated relationships between women. The soundtrack gives the series a dark moody tone.

I enjoyed the series, but it may not be for everyone. Series has been cancelled which is a shame.

A very poor rip off of Grey's Anatomy. I wish I could say the series is poorly written, but some of the acting stands out. I can't.

The series is a mess, don't waste your time.

Many years ago I was an excellent chess player. Then one day I realized no matter how much I concentrated on games, and I could anticipate several moves ahead......Basically I sucked.

I can't help but draw parallels to Bobby Fischer, but I believe the protagonist of this series, Beth Harmon, would eventually have a much happier life than Fischer.

The actress, Anya Taylor-Joy, is destined for great things. Her portrayal of the shy damaged girl was fantastic. Anya Taylor-Joy took Beth from a shy ugly duckling to an exquisite, but naive beauty, who is totally unaware of her smoldering sexuality.

I reviewed this series as ten stars not because I used to play chess, but on account of a original story, well acted by all involved.

I recommend this series very highly and if you like episode one, you'll be hooked.

Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020)

A pleasure to watch

I really enjoyed this show. It's actually funny, a teen drama that is not campy.

The acting is excellent especially the two actress who played twins. They are in their twenties, but pull off sixteen/seventeen better than just about any teen show I've watched with older actors. The actor who played the adult bounty hunter is very good also.

Highly recommend the show. I believe you'll find it enjoyable

She's Missing (2019)

What a mess

Some times some low rated movies are good for a Saturday afternoon when the ball game is rained out. Bright spot Lucy Fry.. A beautiful talented Australian actress. The main reason I watched this mess.

The other actors are talented, in fact the movie has a good cast. I have no idea what the writer were thing. In fact the writer and director are the same person. All I know, is that I never want to be on what ever she is on..

I understand the movie is about a girl searching for her best friend, but it is disjointed, rambles and makes no sense.

If you like looking at Lucy Fry or Eiza González; a beautiful talented Mexican actress don't bother watching. Watching rain fall on a baseball diamond is better than watching this mess.

Nowhere to Hide (2009)

Worth the time to watch it.

I found the movie on netflix and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Meredith Monroe did a wonderful job with the lead role. and the girl who played her daughter was good also. Brian Dietzen played a credible villain. There are parts of the movie that will stretch the imagination, But who cares; it is a movie. I found the movie fast paced and fun to watch. It held my interest which is more than I can say for a lot of the big budget Hollywood movies that star big names.

I don't know if a DVD is available, but the movie is well worth a watching

I liked this movie

I have read the reviews of parts one and two. The main complaints are that Meredith Monroe is a blonde and the writers did not go by the books.

Not many movies are exact copies of the book. In fact some of them the only semblance to the book, is the title.

Meredith Monroe was picked because of all the actresses that auditioned for the part she fit the part the best. They must have had a reason for keeping her blonde hair. There is no reason they could not have dyed her hair. She had dyed her hair brown for other roles. I believe she was picked for her girl next door look, and acting ability.

Meredith Monroe is a talented underrated actress. I though her and Walter Goggins did a fine job in both movies.

I think people tend to forget actors will do what the director tells them to do. So if Monroe or Goggins acts cheesy; it is because they are told to.

I have never read Laura Ingall's books so I guess I was not influenced by them. I thought for the most part the movies were good and entertaining. You have to remember these are made for TV movies, and they don't have the multi million dollar budget.
