Pure trash.

Just how sick do you have to be to even write this garbage, much less produce it and make a movie out of it. It's the millionth version of the same story that's been told forever and ever. None of those were this sick. While the actress did a good job in the first half, that's about as far as I got. The only thing that matches how horrible it is, is how predictable it is. You just have to wonder who actually made this movie, and who they made the movie for. The gross pig characters are horribly overstated, so I assume it was made by their type and for their type. Awesome. I have had TUBI for about a week now. Won't have it tomorrow.

No matter how bored you are

Find something else to watch. Just another totally convoluted movie that starts in the middle and jumps round and round. Just the millionth version of pretty much the same old script, but so are most of the others out there. Could have been at least decent, but they missed that boat completely. Full of second-rate actors trying to climb their way up, but this is not the way to do it. It's hard to give a good performance in a bad movie. Besides, they all look pretty much the same, same gruffy faces, same dingy clothes, same boring lines, all given in poorly lit dungy settings. Forget the Cuba Gooding tease. Only thing that got me here, but he was just there to pick up a check for his lawyers, say a few lines, and go back home.

Wow

You just keep thinking this can't get any worse. Then it just keeps getting worse. Why in the world would Richard Dreyfuss take this role? The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, and I do love snow, but Dreyfuss should have enough money by now to avoid totally payday movies like this. An almost decent beginning that just keeps getting more and more unbelievable. They do sort of make the wolves a part of the movie but fail miserably, unless you know absolutely nothing about wolves. I realize it's just a fictional movie but come on. A slight brush with reality, even if only accidentally, would have helped.

Just another BS sandwich.

Good start and a decent ending, but way too much bull in the middle. Lots of good actors, and they do a good job. Pretty much a similar script and plot to several others, just a little more hardcore violence and gore to make it more "attractive" to today's audiences. Two thumbs up for Emily Blunt. She definitely pulls her weight, as do Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro as usual. Never was really sure why she was brought into the mission in the first place other than it was in the script. She brough no real talent or use to mission, just brought a pretty face to the movie. With all that talent, I just expected a lot more.

Wow, talk about a paycheck movie

OMG. This was based on a video game? That should be a special rating. People should be warned. Great cast, not even a good movie. Just another gotta pay those bills thing. You know the budget had to be huge with all these stars, but you also know the box office take had to be very small. The first weekend is always based on hype and cast. From there on it's always about word of mouth. They basically just took a bunch of old scripts from old movies and a video game and put them in a big bowl and stirred them round and round. If part of this doesn't make you think of Ghost, then you've obviously never seen Ghost. There are dark movies, and then there are movies that are so bad they use as little lighting as possible and film at night. This is the latter.

Interesting, very interesting.

I see that I'm a little higher in my rating than most, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. It is what it is, short and bitterly sweet, and different. Filmed in 17 days? Wow. I just think it's a good story, and it's my first Katie Holmes movie I think maybe. She does great. I loved her part, and in my opinion, the sheriff does the job he has to do. I'll leave it at that. It's just a classic low budget film in which Miss Holmes obviously took a huge liking to Miss Meadows. Her character cares more about our children than 50% of our politicians holding office today. That was refreshing. Wish it had been based on a true story. Peace.

Not good.

The four stars are really more out of respect than enjoyment. Great cast doing some of their weakest work. Gotta pay those big bills I guess, huh? Morgan is decent, but this is a non-challenging role to say the very least. Even he couldn't make his character the least bit interesting. Tommy Lee gives about 20% maybe, but again, that's all his character required. Rene sleepwalks her way through it like everybody else. Decent supporting cast with a couple of my favorites, and it's always good to see George Wallace. They should have cut a couple of the supporting cast and given a couple more time. I watched it on free cable and worth every penny of it.

It's a must see.

I love true story movies. Catching history in little 30 second sound bites rarely tells the whole story, an even if they do, it's hard to keep them pieced together in my mind. Not sure I learned a lot that I didn't already know, but it was good to see it in story form. We all know what a horrible monster Weinstein was, or thought we knew. This really puts a final stamp on it. I'll never watch another Miramax movie without wondering why they're still in business. Two great performances by the leads playing two great reporters and two great women. And definitely hats off and two thumbs up to Ashley Judd, both for her part in the story and her part in this movie.

One horrible movie
6 June 2023
It's only really about an hour long, but they keep showing the same scenes over and over, flashing back, flashing forward, then back, then forward, etc. Nothing new plot-wise for sure. Armored truck robberies. Same old same old, not even any new twists. It's strictly a Jason Stratham movie with a decent supporting cast, but none with any substance at all. The constant back and forth sort of made it hard to keep up with, but then it's so bad I lost interest fairly quickly. Don't waste your time. There are a million good movies out there, and this is definitely not one of them. Just seems like one of those paycheck movies.

Just saw Kat on an old CSI:NY

She was so cute and great. How did she wind up on this trash? Calling this 8th grade bathroom humor is an insult to the 8th grade. If you think this is funny, you must get a new whoopi cushion every year for Christmas.

Gets worse every year.

Same plots and stories you've seen a million times on other Wolf shows. The female cops are cute, but none of them could possibly work the streets of Chicago. They all weigh about 105, and one has a voice so low and faint you can barely hear her. Their cuteness does add to the soap opera that all of Wolf's shows become. Lots of "love", lots of lust, lots of sex, lots of breakups. I do like the desk Sargeant. She's one of the believable ones. Most of the guys are okay and believable, but again just like every other cop on tv. Only the older Greek? Guy is great. The leader of the pack is good, but still basically a criminal himself. I'm usually okay with his crimes though. He does often cut out the middleman courts. But worst of all? The absolute worst soundtrack in the history of television. There are more violins on this show than there are in the Chicago Symphany Orchestra, and they're much louder. Just trying to make up for the weak stories and acting by cranking up the violin strings in hope of cranking up the heart strings I guess. It's become more like an Italian cop opera than an American cop show. Two thumbs down for me.
