Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
Absolute utter unbelievable s*@+
Luther isn't Luther. Poor writing, trouble sound design and poor direction.
The villain is some sort of unbelievable 5'2" Marvel sorry villain.
I realise you like Luther except for the last series and want Mori 5 when you thought there wouldn't be but this pos is not disappointing but anger rising terrible.
I just can't understand how this was allowed to be on TV but Ghost Watched was banned.
The characters are unrealistic and do unrealistic actions. As I said the puny villain is unbelievable and makes Luther look like an incapable loser.
In the climax scene there is one camera per viewer which is just insulting to us. It's like the director didn't understand that we the viewers aren't stupid.
One dumb contrivance after another is insulting to you and me and this sh!+ needs to stop.
Your audience isn't dumb. This is crap. The writer is terrible and the producer should go back to Primevil.
2/10 please burn the archive.
Star Trek: Voyager: Macrocosm (1996)
Alien Meets Die Hard
I expect if they ever get back they will realize that Janeway should be charged with dereliction of duty. "Captain, what the hell were you doing our there, you were support to be getting home not going on a picnic!" Point the ship for home and engage!
What was the strange impossible nose chin fused interpretive dance language guy with little intelligence and an itchy trigger finger?
A virus is in no way capable of increasing size and if it could it wouldn't fly and buzz like an insect. Then it turns into a face hugger that flys like a helicopter. A virus is not a cell and doesn't have organelles let alone organs so it could never grow larger. Viruses are all around 2 microns for a reason. If the virus interested a probe to inject genetic material into a host cell to replicate itself a macro virus couldn't use the same thing to inject genetic material into your neck to replicate. It would likely kill the host and not be able to replicate. New flying viruses come out of the wound, what now? Then we make an antibody in 20 minutes without testing it and it kills micro and macro versions of the virus. How? Then everyone is well again in very short order.
It's just such a departure from anything approaching science it's unbelievable. TOS and STNG had scientific advisors, it seems DS9 and VOY do not. I can only wonder if overall the producers are trying to add a space opera feel back in from TOS. Which was the best idea to leave our to make STNG a better show that TOS.
Bad writing
Stupid plot
Forgotten story arc
Embarrassing alusion
2 full Roddenberry rolls in the grave.
No Time to Die (2021)
The New Die Another Day
An absolute good awful pos.
It's great that Daniel Craig liked the ending. Good for him. He's job is to believable deliver the lines and say sober not write screenplays. You know what Daniel, you're wrong.
The James Bond cartel made the worst James Bond movie ever in Die Another Day and ruined the franchise. Then the cartel reboots the series with a grittier bond and the world loves it. Then they do the same thing, add campness, in jokes and pointless plots (I'm looking at you Skyfall) and lose what people liked. Finally, with this installment they have done to the new series what Die Another Day did to the first.
Now they are free to piss everyone off with a woman Bond. Should be great.
Voyages of Discovery (2006)
Interesting with Reservations
Voyages of Discovery is hosted and narrated by a insufferable and arrogant Australian (sorry for being redundant) and self proclaimed explorer. Presumably exploring what people find so interesting about him. As an example of how repugnant he is, when taking about Tahitians, he is ecstatic and smiles like the Cheshire Cat when he explains that Cook's crew bought sexual favours for a handful of nail. Sad and disgusting.
If you can get past this guy the story is interesting with some filling in of back story and challenging of myths.
However, if you think all parts of empire and colony are despicable then this series is not for you.
This England (2022)
Compelling However
The series is compelling and starts by showing the disconnected and elitist behaviours of the conservative government under Boris Johnson's leadership.
The healthcare scenes are authentic and gut wrenching. However, there is extreme repetition, implying that they are padding necessitated by over editing or lack of story.
As the story starts to wrap-up something strange happens. The plot's trajectory was strongly against the government but then it pulls off and lays the blame on the consultants. You know the experts the government CHOOSES and HIRERS to help THEM to make policy decisions? The government is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES. Therefore, I can only be their fault.
I and many can't help but ponder if there wasn't some government manipulation. So, was this docudrama produced too early. I'd say yes.
However, it was brilliantly acted by Ken Branagh.
ETs Among Us 2: Our Alien Origins, Antarctica, Mars and Beyond (2018)
What a crock of s$&t... Antarctica has two T's
This while thing is a bunch of heresy crap. The are no interviewees and the presenters are not credible. Any show that uses a lot of stock footage should not be trusted at face value.
Before you say these are just stores...a bunch of words... When did we stop believing eye witnesses? What eye witnesses, wtf are you taking about?
No, spacecraft could never go underwater. A crazy woman doesn't understand why going under water is hard. She also can't pronounce nuclear. I can imagine her obsessing over Google Earth maps. Anarica, I'm doing some research there... Banned from Antarctic, why, how? They broke the treaty! Duh! That's why your not wanted there!
First hand stories. Where are these people? It's all made up crap.
Special Bulletin (1983)
Poor direction, acting and fact checking
Looks like a high school production compared to anything produced on the similar subject by the BBC
The show is rampant with OVER and bad acting such as by the female news reader. So much of the show is unconvincing with complete lack of detection. It's all happening in one day but yet they have a biopic a piece on the main terrorist. The news reader has to break away due to a developing situation but yet she looks at notes below here. The end of so laughable the seriousness that they're trying to convey is lost.
Unfortunately the public service announcement saying this is a dramatization are required after the Ghostwatch incident on the BBC of the previous year.
Give this a miss.
Without Sin (2022)
Eh?
Awards? What? I can only respect this if it was based on a real story.
An obvious plot twist, poor dialog, unrealistic actions and on the end it is twee crap.
Her mom breaks up with her fella for her and instead of having a scene where actors can act out emotions she just shows up and has to explain what she did and why. Boring.
He cell mate shivs him because a few years for vehicular homicide isn't bad enough, I need to go down for premeditated murder so the cons respect me.
All this forced drama at the end, with two simultaneous conversations each revealing little bits of expesition until we finally know the twist. If you didn't figure it out this show is for you. Don't take my boyfriend. Cat fight!
Flipping Fast (2022)
Reality Rubbish
George Clark goes full reality with this painfully boring show with stupid mistakes made by virgin house flippers.
The production doesn't establish why the two house flippers exists are expert, maybe they are maybe they aren't.
One of the flippers moves away and leaves they show!
The bottom line is the teams waste a year of their life for 100k of nothing. How what? I don't understand the risk benefit. One year, two people (mostly) 100k? What a stupid waste of time.
This is over of the few George Clark shows where George is in the real world and says something slightly, very slightly neutral that might be construed as negative. You know the normal, you have reverted a rotting agreed and they have transformed this distressed property into an amazing spaces (piece of crap).
Die Another Day (2002)
Killed the franchise
Absolutely the worst James Bond movie ever brought to the screen.
Let's come up with an idea for a car that is so cool how cool very very cool so cool that I can't even think what it looks like why don't we just pretend it's invisible yeah I'll be a good idea everybody would like to see the invisible car. No
Surgery the changes you were Reece it's just incredibly transcending and it's so today that we should included in the movie yeah that's a good idea let's do that yeah maybe you should have some diamonds in someone's face they'll be a good idea because we never have any surgery to move diamonds why would we do that that's so cool. No
And finally Halle Berry. No no no. She want a word for a terrible acting oh my god what is wrong with Hollywood.
If you enjoy this movie this is why all the movies are coming out of Hollywood a terrible now. Superhero movies & remakes awesome what a world we live in.
Jason Bourne (2016)
Crypto Meta Scraped Plot Transcending Our Consciousness
Matt Damon is.too.old play Jason Bourne and Tommy Lee Jones is too old to play anything then someone working on the bucket list for someone who's kicked it.
Nicky Parsons has no tangible relationship to Jason Bourne so why all of a sudden is drawn to her like she's a handler and he somehow still connected to intelligence?
The Raiders have taken inspiration from the first Matt Damon Jason Bourne movie and then poorly researched on the internet current topics and have included them in the plight out-of-context and with jargon that doesn't make any sense.
Between the boring scenes between the jerky camera action scenes some people might be interested in what's going on however if you take a step back and appreciate and like a movie with some intelligence to it this isn't it.
If you enjoy Marvel and DC movies than this will satiate your action demand however if you have more than 5 brain cells then give this a miss.
Even Eric van lustbader would be turning in his grave.
It just goes to show you that Matt Damon and Tommy Lee Jones will do anything for a buck. Unfortunately they have little self respect and would rather fill their bank account so they can fuel the private jets and continue to ruin the Earth.
Mr. Dressup (1967)
I watched this show everyday
When I arrived home from school this is what I watched. I was informative, fun and realistic. Children have emotions and don't know how to react and this show took that on.
I am thankful that Ernie stayed in Canada and developed this show which had much more impact that anything Mr Rodgers did (and he never stole a traffic light).
The only thing negative to me as a child was the owl. He scared the hell out of me.
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (1968)
Of course we all respect and admire Fred but
As a child of the right age to watch this show I found it boring and unimaginative. The land of make believe was terrible and a little scary. It makes sense as an adult that the shows was written and performed by a minister. I never understood why there was a traffic light in the kitchen and I wondered if he stole it since I knew he shouldn't have one. The best parts of the show were the trolly itself, when a parcel was delivered and the occasional video segment that broke up the mundanity.
As an older child I noticed the show was mocked by all including other television programs. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone as it was dated from the start. I and so glad Ernie Combs parted company and did his own much superior show in Canada.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Tapestry (1993)
The thing is
Son ballistic to believe that junior Picard could become senior Picard. Senior card is a cautious person which makes no sense that he became who he is by taking risky decisions.
The kicker to the story to me as I can't figure out why anybody likes it is one of the most boring stories that you could drive a bus through it so obvious what's going to happen.
Soul (2020)
Not a kids movie. BORING and OVERRATED
What movies need is more talking and character development through endless dialog and narration.
My son, 6, walked out and started playing something else. My wife look at me and said should we turn it off and we did and had a nice time with out this over rated movie.
This is a real review not one of the fake ones that some company who sells DVD's through an online store profits from not vetting and deleting.
Top Gear: Patagonia Special: Part 2 (2014)
Incredibly Embarrassing for Argentina
It just reinforces that humans find patterns in everything and stubborn people never change their minds.
I learned that the people in southern Argentina support the military dictatorship of the 1980s, still want two worthless rocks in the South Atlantic and are unlawful and ignorant.
Like you, we will never travel to Argentina.
The Core (2003)
This is not Science Fiction it's Fantasy
Sci-fi is good when it imagines one thing however this movie changes too many things. From the ludicrous idea of y they need to go to the core to the ludicrous idea on how to fix it it's full of one wrong thing after the next after the next. I started writing this when I saw that the entire West coast is therefore we can't get power to Alaska. The biggest buyer of power from Canada is the United States and Canada is a fully integrated part of the electrical grid in North America. Nextra integrating volume for what reason why would you integrate volume are they travelling in four dimensions now? We know how dense the core is it can't be finished this is the basis of planetary motion.
I aploud everyone who enjoyed this movie. I have one question though how can you live in such a small mind?
Simon Bird: Debrief (2021)
Cringworthy
Unwise idea to perform without an audience and it didn't work. It was so unfunny I unfortunately had to turn it off.
I think Simon is a good comedy actor but I'm not sure about his stand-up.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa (2022)
Maybe George wrote this one
Imaging this was a good episode we loved and then George needed to but an um...let's say but an island, say New Zealand. So, he added another stupid frog cut scene and added a lot of extra sparkles to the kiddie ride lifted motor cycles for the Power Rangers. Then he re-releases it as "special" "never seen before" "extra footage". And a bunch of naive fanatics buy it. Enter us. Think about it.
Or maybe Morrison wrote it. He's from New Zealand, the Power Rangers are from New Zealand. Look for Xena and Jermaine Clement in the next episode.
Disney please please PLEASE fire Kennedy. Edit: and it has been done, thank the maker!
Hollington Drive (2021)
Poor Writing
If you have to do a flashback to explain the climax it's bad story telling. The whole homicide scene buildup it unrealistic. Who would forget their keys? Why was he asleep instead of changing the sheets and covering his tracks? She just walked out of the house then walls back in and crashes into something she just passed. As well, Rachel Stirling is a strong female actor but she proves why she will never be as good as Anna Maxwell Martin. Terrible cry acting in E3. I know your eager for a good drama but this isn't it.
The Split (2018)
Not really a lawyer shows, more of a mellow drama
Can't stand it. Unrealistic characters, endless boring scenes trying to milk emotion. All men are garbage all women are herorins. Good actors in had roles. One wonders if the writer went through some teams that needs addressed.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses (2021)
Horrible and seems fake
Slow, little content and easy questions. The contestants seem like actors not real people. It's convenient that everyone gets a turn to talk about themselves when randomly picked. I think the only thing real are the masked "team members" in the stands.
Blaze and the Monster Machines (2014)
Forced Educational Content is Weak
I'm not sure who they are trying to convince with the educational content. By the time your child is old enough to want to participate, they will know everything the show pretends are educational.
The story telling and the animation don't seem to talk to each other. Often you'll see a element added in when they realize it was needed.
The behavior of the protagonists is not exemplary. They never seem to feel bad for or try to befriend the antagonist.
Doctor Who: Praxeus (2020)
The plastic distraction now in Doctor Who
Ocean plastics is a distraction from climate change! Track back to the source and you'll realize we've been fooled. Just like the poor writer Chibnall. Big Finish is better than this, at least it's mediocre.
