Not as bad as everyone says it is
17 December 2021
So when I watched this movie for the first time (way after it had come out), I was under the impression that it was a pretty forgettable movie by the Marvel fandom and I just needed to watch it so I could understand what would happen in No Way Home. So I have it watch.

Honestly, it was better than what I thought it was, but definitely one of the weaker Spider-Man movies. There are things that don't work in this movie - personally, Peter Parker as a skate kid didn't do it for me, a couple unsolved plots, and Uncle Ben (where was the famous line??) but there were good things too

The action and design of this movie was phenomenal. The swinging action is still the only movie that fully captures the agility of Spider-Man (the newer MCU ones don't really have these action shots) and the fight scenes are so cleverly made. Andrew Garfield got the Spider-Man half right - he captured the clever and witty personality of Spider-Man better than Maguire did. The second thing, really what stood out about this movie is the chemistry between Gwen and Parker. Something about their relationship connected and really made me think they were destined to be together. It's better than any other marvel ship that comes to my mind and thus just made the ending so satisfying for me.

Loki: Journey Into Mystery (2021)
Season 1, Episode 5
10/10
Best Episode so Far
11 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Out of all the Loki episodes so far, this would have to be the best. I enjoy all the outfits, paying homage to various comics. We learn more about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how it works. I love the different Lokis, with Presidential, Boastful, and of course, Alligator. Of course, it was a relief to see Mobius once again. The whole episode was sprinkled with easter eggs referencing to some of Marvel's funniest moments whether it was the Thanos Copter or Throg. Richard E. Grant playing Classic Loki was phenomenal and his ultimate sacrifice and Glorious Purpose was the single best moment in this show so far for me. The comedy and seriousness was timed perfectly, and it leaves on a spine-chilling cliffhanger.

Black Widow (2021)
8/10
Good, but was it worth the wait?
11 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest, I wasn't expecting Black Widow to be what it was. However, I was fine with it. The bridge fight and the Budapest sequences were stellar, although I found the skydiving scene a bit unrealistic with the poor CGI. I enjoyed the fact that they didn't have any powers (Alexei barely used his) and resorted to interesting combat sequences. Pugh did a great job in this film along with Harbor. The comedy and emotional points were pinned perfectly at the best times. The theme of family was a unique and emotional choice that I enjoyed. Also I have to add the "Smells like Teen Spirit" Cover is amazing. However as a big Taskmaster enthusiast, I was pretty disappointed with what they did to her. In the comics, Tony Masters has a lot of character, one they didn't go into in this movie. I would have liked to see more character development in Taskmaster. Besides that, I thought it was a good movie and in my opinion was worth waiting for.
