1923: The War Has Come Home (2022)
Sorry I don't get it?
Three episodes in and I don't know who's who and what their overall role is in the story. Going from the ranch to Africa, to orphanage, to the city, back to Africa? Very disjointed and confusing. I fell asleep twice watching this episode, so I had to try to remember where I left off and start from there. What does any of this have to do with modern Yellowstone? Is somebody supposed to be John Dutton's dad or granddad or is that yet to come? I'll give it one more episode and call it a day. I guess I was expecting too much. And is Harrison Ford in this series? Hardly ever see him and Mirren. So sad, I was expecting much more.
Good Sam: Natural Order (2022)
Second time the charm? NOPE!
I thought nothing could be worse than the Pilot, man was I wrong! The story line got worse, the acting got worse, and the writing got worse, how was that possible? At one point I didn't even know who the patients were and even worse I didn't know who the main characters were and why they were interacting with each other. I understand why they have to interweave wokeness into every series now, but do they really have to make the three 'interns' act like the Three Stooges? I'm out, I gave it a try, but I just can't see myself wasting an hour every week on this muddled mess.
Good Sam: Pilot (2022)
Hope it gets better?
Was hoping I could find a substitute that would take the place of The Good Doctor while that show is on hiatus, NOPE! The only thing worse than the writing is the acting, well, six of one and a half dozen of another. Very painful to watch and listen to, the main character's voice is so irritating I had to mute it and read the sub-titles. I will give it one more episode, but I really don't think it will get any better, the Pilot is supposed to be your BEST foot forward. Very disappointed.
Survive the Game (2021)
Ugghh!
What the hell was that? This is a clear cut case for 'How do I get that 90 minutes back?!?!' Just awful. I tend to agree with the previous reviewers, Bruce Willis is just in it for the paycheck now. It made absolutely no sense, the plot, the actors, the writing, the direction, everything about this movie was terrible. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
The Good Doctor: Expired (2021)
Great Episode!
I have to be honest, I almost stopped watching this series a year ago, that's how BAD, VERY BAD the writing had gotten. Obviously the writers were changed out and the show is now getting back to the same series I fell in love with 5 years ago. Great episode, great acting, great writing, lots of twists, lots of tension, and a cliff hanger. If the rest of the series continues like this, it will become one of my favorite series of all time. Thanks for getting back to the basics.
Out of Death (2021)
Really awful!
So sad that they make movies like this in this day and age, with all the CGI and technology at their exposure. I do know if Bruce Willis is broke or desperate, but it's also very sad to see him have to stoop to this level. I don't know if he was tired or drunk, or both? You can tell his parts were shot in one take, in one day. Writing is really bad, direction is really bad, acting is really bad. Avoid if you haven't already seen it.
Nashville (1975)
I don't get it?
The only reason I rented this movie was because it was on a list of the Top 100 Movies to see before you die. Well, to be honest, I wish I would have died 3 hours before I started watching this streaming pile of whatever that was. It was all over the place without making any sense whatsoever? Was there a main character, main plot, main outcome? And still as I'm thinking about it I'm wondering why this was even made. I bet you I can think of 200 other movies you should watch before wasting your time on this. Terrible movie, don't waste your time.
The Marksman (2021)
Wrong title?
I agree with a lot of the reviews I have read, the title shouldn't be "The Marksman" but maybe "The Babysitter"? No real action, just a man trying to get a boy to Chicago while being chased by members of the Mexican cartel. I like Liam Neeson but he is going to have to pick up his game to keep me as a fan. Very disappointed with this film.
