Amazing short film!
20 October 2007
What an amazing film! It is difficult to tell a story in three minutes with no dialog, but Edgerton manages it beautifully. We know nothing about how the protagonist managed to get into his predicament, but almost immediately we want him to succeed. The camera work, cinematography and stunts are wonderful, and the ending is so unexpected, it reminds us how captivating a film can be, and how rarely we see this kind of quality these days. I wish there were more opportunities for the general public to see short films, because they are really missing out on some great works like this. Here's hoping we see more from this talented filmmaker.

Bad beyond all possible depths of Badness
12 February 2007
This movie was just awful. It was Bad beyond all possible depths of Badness. It literally made me hurt to sit there and watch it. It was absolutely predictable and trite, and it makes me sad to think that anyone found any humor or freshness in this. The situations were ridiculous – every "revelation" came at the utmost dramatic moment, characters would barge into classes, therapy sessions, over and over. Keton's character's sexual awakening was just embarrassingly stupid (and if I have to see her appear in one more kicky, over-sized-belt outfit ever again, it will be too soon). I know movies like this should be escapist, but this was just painfully annoying. Please, please spare us further dreck like this, and especially dreck that proclaims to be a "women's film". Women deserve something with intelligence, genuine humor and insight, and believable characters and situations, even in romantic comedies. Diane, hold out for better roles!! PLEASE!!!
