The Strays (2023)

English Accent is frustrating.

I'm trying to focus on the film, but I can't get over the main women's accent. For any US watchers we do-not all sound like this; maybe a good 10% of the UK is actually like that.

Not a great deal happens throughout the film, I enjoy the Jordan Peele type concept, however I don't think they executed the plan.

A bit disappointed, but I liked the directors motive.

Repetitive, too much breaking up and arguing.

Love the actors, nothing personal towards them, I'm 30 minutes in and they've already had FOUR arguments... it's just receptive and silly. I found the exact problem with their 3rd film too... whenever there is a passionate scene between the two, it's more like... ahhh here we go again and just lose interest.

Not what you'd expect...

Huge fan of Jordan Peele with his own imagery and creativity to horrors and thrillers - he's really doing something different especially for being blockbuster.

To review this film with simplicity and give you an idea of other peoples 'lower ratings' of NOPE. I do understand; you couldn't predict this film - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

You really have to have an open mind to literally everything... is this really about 'UFO's' or the behaviour of the subjects.

Even I couldn't wrap my head around the movie which is annoying for myself and even lead me to go down a 'NOPE Explained' videos rabbit hole on YouTube, but even after watching numerous videos - I know I'm missing a lot of answers and a large in-depth of storytelling of what the films is actually about.

Wouldn't say this is personal to Jordan Peele, I just don't have the brain capacity ahah, good work overall on acting, effects, cinematography and much much more.

This is a very well made short film! With a £0 budget you've impressed me majorly! Also has an educational purpose!
