The Amazing World of Gumball (2011)
One of the best Modern CN Shows
TAWOG did not disappoint me. It's slick, funny, smart, well-written, witty, and splendidly voice-acted. The characters all have great chemistry with each other and the melting pot of different animation and whimsical character designs serve as great contrasts with the show's timeless humor. I would put this cartoon along with the likes of Adventure Time and Regular Show, as one of the best CN shows that we would see for unfortunately a long time.
1000 Ways to Die (2008)
I'm sure that this show caused trauma for a lot of the younger generation.
This show is depressing and disgusting. The way these deaths are portrayed in the series is very exploitive with all the characters being stupid and all the morbid puns that are spewed forth by the nihilistic narrator. It just seems very disgraceful and gross for the sake of laughs. No wonder Spike TV (now known as the Paramount Network since the rights to Spike were sold to Paramount) was eventually forced to cancel due to strikes and petitions for the show to end. I salute you, Ron Pearlman, but I really hope this one never went on your resume.
Beware the Batman (2013)
Disappointing.
The successor to Batman: The Brave and The Bold feels lifeless and empty. With a slow pace, boring plot lines, rough-looking CGI animation, inconsistent lighting, lack of any real character development, uneventful villains, and writing that is all over the place, this show left a bad taste in my mouth, and that's quite a rarity coming from a Batman series.
Pupa (2014)
Terrible
Bad animation, bad writing, no development, and gore for the sake of gore. Definitely a pass.
Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z (2006)
The Epitome of Lackluster
None of the character development or interesting dramatic grit and depth of the original, instead trading it for anime clichés. Definitely don't recommend.
Mega Babies: Journey to the Center of the Sewer (1999)
Pure Evil.
As if this show wasn't already sickening enough, this is arguably the most disturbing cartoon episode in history. It's downright insufferable, and the creators behind this show should be locked up without parole.
